Oh my goodness! Just discovered your channel. You made this chart so clear and understandable. This is the first chart that that excited me to learn from. It’s truly learning and focusing on the color you make. When you said you can make a chart 20 times and not get the same color but they’re all correct completely blew my mind. It freed me to be me not someone else’s. Thank you! Thank you! You have subscriber. 😊👍You are a true educator an artist.

I can’t thank you enough for making this fantastic video. I have always considered myself colour challenged and have never been able to figure out an approach to learning and mixing colour that was not completely daunting. This approach simplifies it down to a manageable number of mixing colours, tells me which colours to mix with which, and provides me with an incredible range of resulting mixes. After watching your video, I have spent the past 3 hours swatching and mixing 3 of my sets, (M.Graham, Schmincke and Mission Gold.)I think I learned more this morning than in my entire painting life! I plan to do this with all of my paints. Not only will this give me great practise and help to solidify this knowledge, it will give me a complete reference and library of my paints. Never again will I buy silly sets of 24 or 36 paints! I will be buying your book... Thank you so much!!!

Simple and very practical, watercolor mixing technique! It gives You an insight about how many different colors you can create using some basic pigments. Another take home message is that you don’t need to buy any tube green or tube purple because you can easily mix these colors using your basic pigments.

I have added a new palette to my bag and am in the process of swatching it out. I ran into your video and found it rather interesting, a new way to see what one can get from the paints one already has. After all the classes I have taken and all the videos I have watched, I have never seen this technique. I think it is far easier to put together and provides a broader picture of what one can achieve. Thank you for this. I am going to try it as a different way to ascertain what paints I need to use to get a color I do not have.

Thanks Alek. This is the most useful system I have found. Like most beginners I have way too many colors. I am now starting to reduce my basic palette and needed a good way to decide on what to eliminate. I plan to use your system with my entire collection (not all that large-a total of 32). The plan is to keep only those on my palette that provide the most useful variety in conjunction with each other. With a little luck and determination I hope to trim it down by about half.
