He was so physical, so tough and a machine of rebounds and mind set, he was two times champion with the detroit pistons and he won 3 with MJ Scottie , Kerr and Kukoc
If Rodman played against Draymond, Draymond would get kicked out in about 5 minutes each game. Dennis was one of the best defensive players ever, ad next to Wilt, maybe the best rebounder ever. And he could get in your head easily. As weak as Draymond is, it wouldn't take much for Dennis to get in his head and it's game over.
Rodman was one of the few players I saw actually defend Shaq and be a factor. Now, you can’t stop the Diesel but, Dennis would throw him off his game and get rebounds that Shaq would normally have gotten. He would make Shaq much less of a factor in the game. It may not show up in the stats but, he was effective. In the 12 games they played vs each other Dennis averaged 17.2 rebounds.
I would have worm in my all-time starting five. Its easy to find 5 offensive weapons but hard to find another guy that takes all his pride from defense and is such an out of scale athlet and has borderline defense skills. This guy does not wanna have the ball in his hand beside the rebound. In that era then he was pure gold!

Dennis is one of the very few players that defines hard work will result in success, and never give-up attitude very well. The fact that he spent a couple of years as a janitor after high school, and going to a small school to play college ball, and was already in his mid-20s when he was drafted by the Pistons, is astonishing and rarity now. He may had his issues, but he left the game as arguably the greatest rebounder AND defender of all time, and the first player that you'd think of when diving for the ball to preserve a possession and get his guys to make a play.
Rodman was my favorite player, until my mom found out and told me I couldn't like him anymore because he wore dresses. I was 6 or 7yrs old and didn't know or care about that stuff. I just like the way he showed more effort than anyone else and cared about supporting his team.
Dennis wasn’t the tallest or biggest forward, but he could guard all five positions and rebound better than those taller than him. Jordan knew what Dennis would offer during that final three peat. Scottie also knew what Dennis could offer with sacrificing points for defense, rebounds, and hustle.
@Tippotipo No, he wasn't. I came name 30 PFs that were better scores than Rodman at any given yr Rodman was in the league. And I'm not simply talking ppg. I'm talking about the ability to score the basketball.
