Slingerlands sound amazing. I can't believe how good some of these old kits sound, especially when compared to some high end new kits these days. So much tone and colour, great balance of tone and attack. Love it.
Will be interesting to see what DW Slingerlands sound like in the future. Big shoes to fill, trying to match the vintage drums. A bit of Gene Krupa in this demonstration...great stuff.!
I'm pretty excited to see/hear them as well! I hope they keep it simple. As much as i like the camco/dw style lug, I would like to see the new slingerlands keep it classic. I'm sure whatever dw puts out will be quality nonetheless 👌
precise yet slightly relaxed and lively - stellar playing and I like the cymbals positioned like that- near the 3:02 mk- you are def. the conductor on this train ;)
I’ve always loved drummers who could bring the thunder on smaller kits (Charlie Watts) and I’ve always loved Slingerland Drums. Hopefully this brand will come back. It’s a classic drum brand, just view Buddy Rich on RUclips.
Very nice playing. I have a 6 piece Slingerland I bought in 1978 (or was it '77?) Anyway didnt getthe Slingerlkand snare or hardware with the kit from the store and was too young and ignorant to know any better. As soon as I heard him hit the toms, it was like yeah that's my sound too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I got a question - Does anyone know where I can get a Slingerland bass reso head 24" with the word Slingerland on it? Preferably white
hi Are you have any information about slingerland when Gibson buy the brand ? My friend have a drums re issue and he say me that is vintage drum please if you have any information about it , he bay en 2011
I have these same sizes with the addition of a 2nd 16/16 in The factory color of Black Beauty Pearl. My best guess manufactured in Niles Illinois sometime around 1974 possibly 75 they are a thing of beauty as are all vintage Slingerland drum kits. Now can I play like the video just seen. Ah no. Lol
I have a, Slingerland, Bass-Drum that is the same-size 22". I just don't know, lf it was made in the 50's, 60's, or 70's. It's a, Faded, *Gold-Sparkle*, Color.
Hola! Alguien que haya tenido o tenga actualmente una Slingerland que me cuente si son buenas o si tienen buen sonido actualmente, porque me estoy por comprar una en estos días y es ésta marca. Gracias!
Hey guys does anybody have any idea what a 1970’s Slingerland With 5 Toms kick and snare all plated in gold. Is worth I own one and have not seen anything on sale thanks
A black and gold Slingerland like yours but with 3 toms sold last year on reverb for about 2.5K with snare and hardware. It was special edition circa 1980. What sizes?
Well seeing the die cast hoops, UN-ORIGINAL, and the front head on the bass drum not a solid closed head, has these drums, not showing there true sound from original Slingerlands! I owned this era of slingerland for about 6 months. Sold them, as they could NOT compete with my late 1950's and 1960's Gretsch or my 1971 Premier 3 ply african mahogany shell, with the thick Beechwood glue rings! Sorry the tuning has these drums sound dead and lifeless! Dudes playing was ok! Nothing to write home about. THUMBS DOWN
Sing Sing Sing!!! Mr. Gene Krupa!!!❤
Tbh, I could watch this guy play all day.
His drum solo is easily better than Jon Bonham
@@ramencurry6672 Ha! He have no feet combos.

Beautiful drums. Cool solo, too.
What a great combination, tasty playing on a super nice sounding kit. A real pleasure all-around!
Such a simple kit, such a great sound!

I pretty much have the same set but with 2 toms and a 24 in bass; It's early '70's. great set. 🥁
That kit has a lovely sound .
Drums sound great!!!
Very cool kit, great solo!
Great drums. Great drummer.
Great playing and especially nice sounding tom.
You're holding it down on that kit! Great sounding shells
What a gr8 video. Cool drums, sick playing! Enjoyed this thoroughly
Such good playing brother
Always. He's the Stig of drumming.
Oh I love the raggedness of the finish on this one. It's like an old worn out bomber jacket. Very cool! Amazing sound too!
amazing drummer and I love how he changes grip
precise yet slightly relaxed and lively - stellar playing and I like the cymbals positioned like that- near the 3:02 mk- you are def. the conductor on this train ;)
Thunderous sound!
Love that snare..sounds like an Artist Model...
Actually, love the whole kit..
Outstanding drumming.
Wow he`s such a great drummer!
This kit sounds too good! Why can't they recreate this kit? It has a perfect sound.
DW owns the Slingerland name. They should do something with it.
Best sounding drums ever.
astonishing performance!
Best drums ever made.
I have the 1965 mahogany kit. Would love to find the Nashville set!!!❤

Really enjoyed this.
Nice! The through the drum mount on the tom doesn’t seem to be hurting it one bit.
Single stroke perfected!
That was some nasty drumming bud! Real nasty! Oh and the Slingerlands sound great!

I would LOVE to know how you get this snare sound. It's perfect! and also what model/year is this kit, I see it's been sold but I'm just curious
Great sounding drums and superior playing. Most of the vintage drums were 3 ply. If a shell gets too heavy the note won't resonate clearly.
Anyone know what wood this classic drums were made out of? They sound amazing.
Probably three ply - maple, poplar, maple, together with top and bottom wood reinforcement hoops.
Please come tune my Slingerlands!
What resonant heads do you have on the toms? Lovely playing.
Tune them high
Beautiful sounding snare.
What metal model is it .
Looks like it’s the matching wood snare with the kit. Probably a 14x5 maple/poplar shell.
Otis Blankenship IV
It’s metal on the close ups.
Great kit AND great drummer!! Anyone knows his name?
Patrik Benek.

Your playing ideas worth MUCH more than some "kits" in there
:P
Where’s the tip jar??
He's got the Buddy scowl!
Master 👍🏼
Good stuff!!
Whats the of thai kit?????
Beutiful sound
i just had a friend give me a set identical to this one just slightly darker finish
👍dobre pepiku👋
What year are these.
Is that an Artist Model snare.
Some of the best drums ever.
Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa loved these ( in marine white pearl )
Roy Beckerman these are mid-late 60s drums I believe. (63-69)
me hubiese gustado escuchar una prueba de sonido de la bateria . solo hacemos todos los bateristas

They look like crap but sound fantastic. With Patrik behind the kit, we're always in for a treat!
Bet you a thousand dollars that this guy can make a fart sound like a million bucks...any takers?
Poor 'ole girl needs some refinishing!
Dat mouth though :P
