Ha ha on the cheap? Unless you want something different just start off with a 360. The 318 is a stout little engine but lo po. The 360 has the cubes and the stroke. Much better on the street with extra torque and lots available cheap. The 318 was designed for driveability and mileage, not power. By the time you change those puny heads, carb, manifold etc. you might as well have had the 360. Also, change the spindly 7 1/4 rear end as one hard launch and you will be picking it up off the ground.
Excelente restauración, me gusta mucho el Dodge Dart es todo un clásico, que pasó con el otro Dart el de color negro? me lo regalas y yo lo restauro? claro me lo envias a Venezuela jajajajaja... un saludo amigo....!
Messiest job I have seen on this channel. Not really a restoration job, more of a touch up. I assume the intention was not to make a concours car, but almost a rat rod type thing.
These cars were meant to be driven hard and put away wet. Not blue Chip stock the Scottsdale crowd started. Do your car build the way you want, drive it and be proud.
That is what I meant with the rat rod comment. It is a good build, but not a concours one like most of the others shown on here. It was built to abuse, not to look at. Thus, I said it was the messiest I have seen on here, because, well, it is the messiest. It is still a formidable beast, but built differently to what this channel usually shows.
Had a 73 green dart in the 80s,but only a slant 6. Like that you put a 4 barrel on the 318!
rattle-can restoration? usually you show actual quality work
Like the cars stance gives it a good look like a super stock
You can do alot with a 318, bore , stroke , turbo. All on the cheap. Good choice.
crimp creep use it for a table and start with a 360

Changing the nose to 70 or 71 Dart was a good choice. I have owned a few A bodies
