I am a bigener and i am 65 years so i learn just for me and my friends .excuse my inglish because i am from Quebec Canada and i speak french. So i watch all your video and i wait to tell you you are a very good teatcher and i anderstand all what you tell So tank you very much 💐💐
Thank you for the great video, I’m a licensed Nail Tech in the USA for 16 years, I prefer using my e file when removing gel polish, however I do use a small glass container and just enough acetone to cover the bottom of the small glass container (I use a tea light candle holder that I picked up at my local Dollar Tree) and soak off the thin layer of base coat, this process with soaking and using a diamond bit with no pressure at all with my e file to remove the base coat, this process in total takes approximately 12-15 minutes and no damage is done to the natural nail, my clients nails are only in the acetone 3 minutes tops
Thank you! I was finally able to remove my gel polish without having to add product to my nails! I would have to hand file to ensure i didn’t remove too much. I appreciate all of your videos that you share with us. I can’t tell you how many times you have taught me the correct way to achieve something I am trying to do more efficiently when I have done my own nails for over 25 years.although I am self taught ( didn’t have RUclips even 20 years ago) I do have a few girlfriends that are nail techs so i have a better understanding than most self taught wanna be nail techs lol your videos fine hone that understanding, thank you so much for all of the time and effort to share even the smallest technique ❤️
Hi Anastasia I love watching your tutorials especially when it consists of gel polish and acrylic removal it something I love to watch... Thank you for these videos.
I am very new to gel and e-file. I started my intense practice with gelX bit from the Nail Hub. I put on dark color then light color, practice removal of top color leaving bottom color. This has helped with pressure control. I also love the diamond football cuticle bit, great for sidewalls and cuticle cleanup. I use fine sanding band to remove nail shine before a gel application. Please let me know if it is a more effective way. I follow you and you are a great instructor.❤️
Thank you so so much for this video! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻It answered a lot of questions I still had about the removal of gel polish. Also the part where you said that you could leave on a little rest of the gel polish.I always thought you always had to soak off everything and start new every time. I also prefer filing, I didn’t have so much success soaking off and I am not sure if it is something you should do every time you wanna change your design. Awesome design at the end also 💕
Hi Anastasia!! I love your videos and how u explain evetything. For more than a year I use ceramic drill bit to remove the gel.polish. I just loved it and also my clients much faster. Regards from Athens😍
Thank you for this tutorial, helpful as always :). When I start doing nails I just soak off but now i combine both on clients and practice only e-file on myself. I don't feel skilled enough to file off completly but hope i will some day. Knowing accetone is wraped around finger for 5 to 10min... somehow doesnt feels good XD. I watch a lots of tutorials how to file off gel polish from natural nails and mostly they say " base coat protect nail" but...in my nail school we were told that base coat must be apply realy realy thin so i dont know how to get mad skills of not overfilie that thin layer and damage natural nail.
Hi Anastasia because you explain so well :-) can a request a tutorial ??? I would like to learn how to slightly build the nail using the gel Polish base, I've tried but I can't get it that great, I have seen so many already but they are all in Russian and unfortunately I don't understand ...Thank you 😘
No clients here, but I e-file it off of myself!! Yeah that ring finger and pinky are the least comfortable! My ring finger us even crooked making it even harder.. but still easier for me than soaking off! That takes so long. I'm always ready to get to my next design! Thanks for sharing your tips!! 💜💖💜💖 USA here
I absolutely love your videos. Thank you sooo much! Also whit grit is the ceramic bit? Also can you tell me how long it takes you to remove gel polish and then do a gel manicure? I’m trying to work on my time ;)
This was a really helpful video. I am not a nail tech, but normally have gel on my nails all the time. I live in Zimbabwe, I have never had the electric fine used on my nails before. Here they generally break the seal with a hand file and then soak issuing acetone and foil. I find my nails to be weak and damaged most of the time
Hi Anastasia I personally prefer to file of my products lol it's easier and faster in my opinion. I love your designs that your put on after removing... Can't wait to see the video of that application love you. 😘
I normally just use regular polish. So I am a first time gel polish user. Does soaking off the polish make the nail thin and flimsy? Is it better to get a drill and use it for myself, since I am not a nail tech?
If you use acetone formulated for use on nails (e.g. Beauty Secrets brand) it does not damage your nails but can dry them out. If you are not used to using an electric file, the soak off might be better for you. Putting cuticle oil on before removal can help. Check out this great tutorial by #thenailhub ruclips.net/video/di2UYsFOX0o/видео.html
Dear if there is an acrylic or polygel or any kind of nail extension and i want to remove the gel color only I use the drill only is that right?! Because if i use any gel polish remover i will damage the nails. !! But some time the gel polish not remove all from the extensions nails in this case what can i do ?
Thanks, Cristina! I use Strong and Colibri but it's probably sold only in Russia / Ukraine. I have an article how to choose electric file here - nsiacademy.com/blog/305446
Not a nail tech, but on myself, I file off if I have enhancements on. I’d much rather file off even if I don’t have enhancements, but am too afraid of damaging the natural nail. So, I steam them off with acetone, which for me is quicker than foil/acetone. It cuts the time in half for me. Gels really cling to me for some reason. My daughter can steam hers off in 5 min, but it takes me 30 min. If I do the foil/acetone, then it can take an hour.
Thank you for the video. I struggle with speed and the file comes off the free edge and sometimes around the world. I'm not sure why that happens. ?? I'm not pressing hard.
snap I ham 64 years old and I have been learning for 5 years but was ill for a year and now I'm starting from scratch I watch nail could when ever I can she speakers so we can understand her I watch a lot of other nail techs and learning all the time.xx
My drill always slips under neath te nail when i come near the free edge.. why is this? I have a right handed bit and i am in forward... still this happens...
I have new erica m.t20 e.file it work smothly and quitly in forward but when i turn it into revers it is louder ,do you think this is normal or shall i contact seller🤔? I luv ur chanel it is really helped me alot in my work and i learn every time some thing new thank u for sharing ur expirience♥️♥️
Hi I know you probably won't see this but I had a question. Are your nails supposed to feel sensitive after taking off gel polish with an e-file? I took off mine today using your tips and it was successful but my nails felt sensitive. I made sure not to touch the natural nail bed either :(
Well its normal to feel kinda strange after a long time of wearing artificial nails but it shouldn't hurt what so ever, if so something went wrong in the removal process
I tried soaking off my Nails with Acetone and It stung do bad with 10 seconds i had to take them off. I don't know an alternative other than Efiling them off. I can't handle the Acetone on my skin. Any suggestions please?
IndoEiréannGirl yeah I find that difficult too.. I just can't see the sides of my nail that are facing away from me plus I want to hold my skin back.. can't do if on a rest.. I've seen others do it so I tried n tried.. plus don't have to clean dust off a rest either lol.. was a good thought!!
Karen, if everything is done according to the instructions, both are safe. FIling method allows to leave a thin layer on the nails, that's why I prefer it

Thanks a lot
I'm 51 today and doing a course to get my certificate for Nail technician. I'm loving it. Never too late
way to go!!! I am in Toronto and I am a begginer as well, maybe we can stay in touch and help each other. cheers!
I like to file off gel polish. It's faster than soak off and there's something really satisfying about watching the polish disappear.
rockpaperskizzers oh yes!! I love seeing the polish go away fast!! 💜💖💜💖

i'm a beginner and learning and I'm finding I have more confidence using an efile than I am reg filing around the cuticle ...... xxxx thank you

Hi I have the same problem
I like better to remove with nail drill and follow with a filer if I have too
Anastasia does the 20-35,000 speed go for gel polish only or is that for gel builder with gel polish together? Love your videos 😘
It's for gel polish, of there is hard gel underneath I recommend 30-35 RPM
Hi Anastasia I personally prefer to file of my products lol it's easier and faster in my opinion. I love your designs that your put on after removing... Can't wait to see the video of that application love you. 😘

Thank you so much it so helpful :)
Do you have a link to purchase e file pieces ? I’m looking for a good piece to remove gel polish and then to shape the nail and to smooth the nail ..
this video is helpful.:) thanks
What bit course ness would you suggest ? Fine medium course?
Medium to medium coarse.
My drill always slips under neath te nail when i come near the free edge.. why is this? I have a right handed bit and i am in forward... still this happens...
Yes, it may happen if you come too close to the edge, Just try different angle. It may happen in any direction once the bit slips from the edge
@@Nailcou Thank you, This is the first time I have a clear answer :)
Hi! Can you do this with gel or dip powder on nail tips leaving the tip intact? Thank you 😊
Hi Wendy! I think so, but never tried it :)
i love ur videos
I like do filling off for removal.
I try to soak mine off. The drill scares me. I'm always putting on cuticle oil, so I don't worry about them getting too dry
It is so hard to work with my left hand
Your so Nice and very good personne tanks a lot
I have new erica m.t20 e.file it work smothly and quitly in forward but when i turn it into revers it is louder ,do you think this is normal or shall i contact seller🤔?

Nice mam where buy the drill
Would it make a difference if you stabilised your finger on a hard surface using that surface to expose your sidewalks and file?
For some reason, it doesn't work for me :(
As the curve is pretty deep on most nails
IndoEiréannGirl yeah I find that difficult too.. I just can't see the sides of my nail that are facing away from me plus I want to hold my skin back.. can't do if on a rest.. I've seen others do it so I tried n tried.. plus don't have to clean dust off a rest either lol.. was a good thought!!
What’s the two nail bits called? I need them
what is that while nail bit called?
I have an efile but I get so nervous because my ceramic bit ate through my natural nail once 😣 I haven't touched it since
Is it saver to file then to soak it with acetone
Karen, if everything is done according to the instructions, both are safe. FIling method allows to leave a thin layer on the nails, that's why I prefer it
I am so scared to use the drill xx
where can I buy the white one?
webshop.magneticnaildesign.com/powergel
I tried soak off on my self,I had almost instant damage filling no damage but it's hard since I am left handed tough usingmy right hand.
Be careful! Yes, it is hard with non dominant hand..
How do i remove a gel polish of a polygel nail?
How long can u leave gel nails on for ?
Do you have a thin layer of acrylic on your nails? Do you use the same technique if there is no acrylic?
No, there's only gel polish, no acrylic.
