    I never realized how horrible my nail tech was until I started watching your videos. she'd always hurt me when she'd use a drill and sometimes she'd draw blood. turns out, she'd be using the wrong drill bit (according from what I learned in this video) I'm definitely never going back. I'd love to get my nails done by you! you know so much and your designs are always so beautiful!

      unfortunately there are mor bad nail techs out there than good ones ... don't ever go back to the one you're talking about here, she seems to be a public danger 🤪

    • @xixi7544
      @xixi7544 3 года назад +3

      I eventually got scared of them because I knew I would get cut or burnt. So yea most of my techs didn't know how to use them 😔
      My Electric file is on its way. I can try for myself and not waste so much time with a regular file.

      You are so right! This happens to me once or twice and I feel as tho they must not enjoy what they are doing or they don't want to be there if they don't know how to use the drill bits. If she/ he is new that's forgiveable because they are still learning. If it may seem petty to some but that determines what my experience is with that particular nail technician.

      My mother had that problem with a nail tech. She kept injuring my mom's nails. I told her that wasn't supposed to happen and to stop seeing that tech. She never went back. Getting your nails done shouldn't hurt. Yes, accidents happen but generally, it shouldn't hurt.

    I really love watching the filer trim down the acrylic nails, its very satisfying for some reason... that would be a cool whole video, just watching the acrylic get filed down on all 10 nails, or 5

    You mentioned the time frame that the clients want their nails done in, and how nail techs steps and time by using more effective drill bits. I have seen clients come in wanting their nails done Really fast, but can't understand why. I've Never been in a rush because I enjoy the pampering. I'll stay as long as it takes to get beautiful nails Safely. When I had acrylic or gel nails, I also got them done often so my nail tech didn't have to practically rebuild my nails at every visit. Going in every 2 wks was a schedule that I found to work well because my nails grow Very quickly. Thanks for sharing your expertise 👍🏾

    I loved this tutorial on how to use the e-file and the bits. A lot of people are scared of these because they think damage can be caused on the natural nail and skin, but you tutorial shows you that in the right hands and right training that you will not cause damage and you can speed you work up. I wondered if Swan have a UK site, because there site only delivers within Canada? ;-) It would be lovely for you to come to the Leeds, UK to do some training. Love watching your tutorials your also lucky when you get sent products to try out to see if they are good for us nail techs or not.
    I want to have a good E-file and bits, I've only got a basic hand e-file and bits. :-)

    Hi Suzie,
    At the start you said you can soak off the gel polish off the acrylic, but you prefer to file it off. How can I soak it off without damaging/removing the acrylic? I use Gelish gel polish and CND retention+ acrylic. Also, if applying gel polish over acrylic, do you need to use a foundation layer of gel? Or just go right in with the colour and then the top coat?
    Thank you!!

    My mom and I use Dip Powder on natural nails and we typically take it off using nail wraps soaked in acetone. How would we use the drill to take the powder off a natural nail? Do you just go over the top to get the top layer off then soak off the rest? Like you mentioned a commenter saying in your video - I don’t want to go down too far and hit my natural nail with the gritty bit.

    Suzie Im a huge fan of your channel. 💕
    Can you please do some Disney character inspired nails?
    Maybe something like any of the princesses, Frozen, TinkerBell, 101 Dalmatians...stuff like that :)

    A carbide cone bit or a carbide flame bit works so much better and doesn't get hot because the teeth are actually grabbing the product and removing it by cutting it not "sanding" it off with friction like those bits she's using... because friction creates heat. So look up a gel/ acrylic removing carbide cone or flame bit and see the difference in the teeth and the rows and you'll what I mean. They are SO much better at taking stuff off the nails with minimal effort.
