It's pretty impressive when you think about who was doing the solos and how different the styles. I would have liked to hear what Warren Dimartini , Jake E Lee, Gary Moore would play over this. That was a lot of serious shredders in that studio.
For the ones who dislike this video, please feel free to show your mad guitar skills on nailing a song with multiple guitar players/style in one song. We look forward to hearing it.
This guy needs a band or a solo deal. This tune goes through so many different styles and techniques. He just gave a clinic to even experienced players. Great ear, great execution, great feel. Outstanding!
@@god6384 I remember hearing the long guitar solos a long time ago. I thought it was too much with egos competing, but as a struggling guitarist I think it's great.
Fucking brilliant! When the Hear 'n' Aid song came out back in 1985 I was fifteen and really into most of the bands represented, even Journey (Neal Schon). I remember taking many walks at night to get out of the house and blasting this over and over and over and over on my Walkman. I probably wore the cassette out! I appreciated the other songs of collaboration to help World Hunger at the time: "Do They Know It's Christmas" and "We Are the World", but "Stars" now allowed those of us into heavy rock and metal to feel a part of it all. Rest in peace Ronnie James Dio!
Not only is that unreal and amazing but did anyone notice how he does his power/bar chords......with his thumb over the top of the fretboard and its still perfect!
Fucking unbelievable. I did not think it was possible. You sir, are freaking beast! Hands down best guitar cover I've seen on RUclips ever. You nailed ever style, every note, every harmonic, every time to use the Floyd, and you made it have the soul like the original! Well played!! I love the Eddie rep, it's bad ass.
Somebody give this man a recording contract!!! This man has got to be the best guitar player on RUclips, everyone of his video's is spot on perfect. This cat is amazing.
I've loved this song since it came out and did not believe it was possible for any one guitarist to get close to copying it. As always, you've left me dumbstruck with awe. Absolutely superb and the only way to see what these guys were actually playing at the time. Bravo!
Imagine that if you changed guitars each solo. Your assistant would hand you the next guitar. And not only "play" each part but be in character. Doing impersonating each shredder. That would be hilarious.
All of us remember the original video and the brilliant solo's from all of those legendary guitarist's. Each solo was beyond the grasp of all, yet years later Satsuma gives us what the original artists never did, i front row view of each and every one of the solo's performed flawlessly. great job.
That was a dam good showing man. When my buddy and I were in our prime playing guitar we used to play that and split the solos between the 2 of us back-and-forth. That was really really good man. The idiots that did the thumbs down don't understand what it takes to really play something like that.
That’s totally amazing how you can change your style to match which players solo you’re doing. Very impressive. Didn’t realize I made just about the same comment 2 years ago. Lol 😂
Love the irony of the VH guitar, when he was just about the only famous metal guitarist NOT on Stars 😏 Also ironic is that it was almost like they left space for him, as there's f all tapping in the solos. 🤔
WoW Great, he hit all the notes, and the solo part was incredible. Playing with Van hallen type guitar. He played all the riff of Dave Murray, Malmsteen, Dokken, Campbell,Jimmy Bain etc,.excellent.
Humans never cease to amaze me - that was unbelievable! Love to know how long it took you to 1). Work it out, 2) learn to play, and 3) Get it up to speed. You're a freak!!!!
WOW!!!!!!!! I am glad I came across this . Sir this is one of the most impressive covers I have ever seen and for 1 man to cover all those styles is no easy task. That was freaking amazing. I am impressed, to say the least, and the way you use your thumb on the e string freaks me the fuck out. I could never grasp that concept. it looks funny as hell to me but it works well for you.
Ehh, a few more lessons and I think you'll have it covered kid... That was pretty ok... xD Jkk- Holy Crap! You killed it. I clicked because I saw the guitar and was like, that hack EVH wasn't in Hearing aid & then got blown away!! Great job!
Dude - that's kick ass man! I remember playing this in one of the cover-bands I was in when this came out. Talk about a flashback to the late 80's! We had some of the best guitarists ever come out of the 80's! I feel very fortunate to have lived through the Sunset Strip, The Whiskey & Gazzarri's during the time period of so many guitar legends. You did them proud here! Keep doing the good stuff!!!!!!!!🤘😁🤘
To be able to pull off like 20 different styles in one solo is damn impressive. Hats off to you brother.
I hear you on that one
He wasn't perfect but pulling off this solo perfectly is nothing short of impossible.
It's pretty impressive when you think about who was doing the solos and how different the styles. I would have liked to hear what Warren Dimartini , Jake E Lee, Gary Moore would play over this. That was a lot of serious shredders in that studio.
best guitar player covering the eighties era ever.
I didn't think that was possible
Pretty good except for the. Buck Darma solo

Five stars for this guy!
Musicians like this aren’t appreciated enough today in society let alone rock n roll this guitarist is truly amazing

I played this exactly the same way........... Then I woke up.😀
😂😭

Bravo! I never thought that this was possible for one man to replicate
He's really a robot programed too play guitar
It's very possible you realize the solos are all played after each other
Yngwie, Lynch, & Neil Schon were awesome. Buck Dharma solo is still my favorite of them all.
James Howlett yeah that Buck Dharma solo really ties it all together!
So many good solos in there...but damn Brad Gillis with some weak sauce.
too bad eddie van halen and warren demartini were not in this but you can't have everyone i guess
@@god6384 I remember hearing the long guitar solos a long time ago. I thought it was too much with egos competing, but as a struggling guitarist I think it's great.
Yeah bucks solo is underrated so rltasty
And, just wanna say uninturupted finger viability. He's not using his hands to hide his tricks. Sweet.
Too epic for words bro
yeah...wow practiced another's notes....impossible.

This guy is amazing, maybe the best youtube cover guitarist.
Not only is that unreal and amazing but did anyone notice how he does his power/bar chords......with his thumb over the top of the fretboard and its still perfect!
I saw that. At first I was like "What is he....oh...OH.....what a whacky way to play those power chords!"
Hendrix, bro!

At 1:38 you can hear the background guitar 🎸 part so much better than the record. Love this part
