Mark's solo on "Can't Wait for Perfect" is something I come back to over and over. I just love that tune. I love his playing.

Loving these interviews and Mark is a such fantastic player (and seems like such kind human being). I'm really enjoying getting to know more about some of my favourite musicians.

I love how you guys always sit there with the guitar even if you don't play a note the whole time, just the comfort thing of having it right there.

Can't get enough of listening to great players just chat. Came her from Greg Koch's interview with Mark. The pandemic sucks but what's come from it is pure gold in being able to get to know these awesome players so much better.

That scene from Step Brothers! 😂 Freaking amazing interview! So honest and real.
It unfortunately took me a while to discover Mark's playing, but wow is he great! Two giants of guitar playing, and really cool dudes! Thank you for continuously raising the bar, and giving us something to shoot for, fellas!
Appreciate You Guitarzan! and, Thanks Mark!

I can't believe mark thinks he's messy Montreal was my #2 track of the year on spotify wrapped and the intro still seems mind-blowingly precise. He makes everything look so effortless & I've always thought he was one of the cleanest guitarists I've ever seen hahahha

Mark is one of the real gentlemen in the music industry. I wonder if his working on pitch and vibrato comes from the Jeff Beck influence. Someone who similarly keeps pitch where it needs to be for the moment in the song. Spark and Echo and Deep live in my car to make the commutes tolerable. Thank you Mark.

The Ty Tabor influence makes a lot of sense, King's X are still too underrated imo. Also, 100 percent relate to that bit at the end. I do think its cathartic for us all to express it though for sure, helps us break through this tough time as a creative. This is a killer community you are creating Josh

Such a great conversation you guys! I was a classical guitar major at UHM where my dad was a chef in Honolulu(couldn’t afford the SF Conservatory where I grew up) but then I became an electrician to pay the bills! I had a son and I was just too scared to even try to make it in music.Yeah…but I remember seeing joe satriani open for Steve Miller Band back in the day when he had hair! LOL, and he was like this perfect guitar god! Soul good! Electric solos I tried to learn were stuff like Badge, Lights, Samba Pa Ti, and Goodbye to Romance! Pretty easy stuff, but still such soulful blues inspired rock! I still play my Bach Lute Suites and the late great Julian Bream brought me to that, and lots of Barrios which was inspired by David Russell. My biggest weakness is like everything you guys do! lol! Vibrato is so crucial! Good stuff. PS: I gotta say, my first concert was Van Halen 1984 tour! EVH still amazes me so much! You guys amaze me so much! I still listen to AC/DC! Specifically the Powerage album! Has anyone rocked the world harder than Angus? I don’t know, maybe Buddy Guy who still makes me cry like a little girl! Loves me some Roy Buchanan though! I got his self titled album on vinyl on the daily and Sweet Dreams still just takes me there. I’ve seen Snarky Puppy twice up here in the bay area and was so impressed! Hope to see you live some day Josh brother you are just straight thrilling and killing me! Dude! I have a couple of amps I wish I could hear you play! One is a Wizard WRDS that was owned by Joe Satriani! I have no idea what speakers are in the matching 4/12 cab but.....HOT DAMN. Maybe from his Deep Purple stint days? But he sold it and I was the lucky buyer! Electricity do pay! IBEW Local 6 born and raised! The other is a Bassman that was modded by Bill Schneider who is Billy Joe Armstrong’s amp and guitar guy up here in Oakland where I live. I got a 2/12 with Allesandros for that. He runs a great little shop called broken guitars up here in Oakland where I got a house around the corner, and he says he cascaded the volumes and did a tweed deluxe Into a JMP ”Dumblesque” kind of thing with it and it is something special I think. Wish I could show you my guitars too. All Lefty! You are always welcome here! Hell I’d even drive them to you though! Thank you so much! Looking farward to who your’re gonna have on next. Liked and subscribed brother keep it up!

I needed to hear this.. thank you. Hopefully, when this covid thing stops.. I can take music more serious (play in more bands, coffee shops something) torn between day job and continuing with music. Starting with the music thing in college in my , I took about a semester as well, 20’s And have been very enthusiastic since then, but fatigue sets in, I have Tried to absorb as much as I could.. I’ll be 36 in 4 days. I finally want to play and see More live music.. (the covid thing happened) all while trying to find my voice, my niche... whatever that is.. ? It’s a lot of trying to catch up on things that I didn’t do as a teen.. I hope that a one point I can play at a live gig. At least 🤷🏻‍♂️ for fun. it’s good that a lot of musicians are posting interviews like this. Even if I am over the hill, I can still appreciate music . Some younger musicians may see this.. and it will be very helpful. I wish I would have seen a few years back.. keep up the good content. I honestly think experience is the best teacher you guys are a perfect example of that.. 👍🏼

Mark only needs to remeber jeff beck and how "absent" he is IN GENERAL, dont feel the pressure(to keep up with the jonses), quality is quality , not when THEY want it, but when eth(ether) happens.
    INSPIRATION(IN-SPIRIT) In-breath
    "Guided Wim Hof Method Breathing"
Please do this(or the beginner version) if you are in a cleaner environment (not dripping with chemtrails etc...)
do eth slowly(dont push in one day to do et fast or to many rounds, and DONT EXALE COMPLETELY,just normaly), and DONT STOP doing et. ever.
Deep breathing is absolutely different than "regular" breathing, if regular breathing was good, people wouldn be sick, mentaly physicaly, EMOTIONALY..and so on.
means all your stuck emotions even from your child hood will EVENTUALY(might take moths or years, depends on you) will be EXALED
Research as much as you need, dont take my words as absolute.
I dont do cold xposure of any kind, dont promote that !!
    Get back to nature
    13Love
