Burton C Bell has always been at the top of my list of favorite vocalists...Layne Staley being #1. I'm pretty sure I messed Burton up on stage by crowd surfing for an extremly long time and flipping him the bird...in my defence, I was on some great acid.
22:22 Burton I think you were the best vocalist ever back in the day but on the Genexus songs live you were definitely using some kind of backing track/autontune so I guess what you were trying to say here is that you won't be doing that again, I agree with you it defeats the purpose of live music!
It's kind of funny hearing him say that tbh. Burton has relied pretty heavily on augmenting his voice with effects since day one. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Some live pitch correction along with delay and reverb would have helped in tremendously.

I was there on a tour when Corey Taylor thanked Burton and told him that he was an influence, I’m pretty sure Burt remembers that. It was on the Jäegermeister music tour which was in 2004 if memory serves.

Great interview, as musch as I am not interested to see the new line up of Fear Factory live, I'd be more than happy to see Burton live.
