The power 9 sounds so much like an Anime Shonen villain group
OH MY GOD YEEEEES 😂😂😂😂
I was into Magic in the late 90's, around the time 5th Edition came out. I had several Mox's. Just looked them up to see what they would be worth if I had held onto my cards. Couple of mortgage payments. Shaking my head...
I was 10 years old when I started playing Magic, I'm 35 now. It took nearly 25 years, but I have the full set of P9 in both CE and Unl versions. The first one I got was the Unl Sapphire, for about $180, and I maintained my persistence. Acquiring the P9, twice, has taught me that slow & steady wins the race. Yes, if you want these, they seem completely out of reach today. They did to me when I first saw them at age 10. But hard work and determination can get you there, if you set goals and work towards them. Happy New Year 2022 to everyone :)
Saw one on pawn stars do America. In Florida. Beta pack guy brought in sealed. Had a power 9 and another one with an Egyptian guy holding his ears “draw 3 cards or force opponent to”. The Summon giant two headed guy was worth less they said. The Egyptian guy was $150k !
The pack was sealed. Chumlee bought it for $25k then he opened it.
what the fuck does this mean
I just had a nightmare about my older brothers stasis deck. Woke up and found your silky ass voice. Lol thanks in 2022
Best artwork of Power 9?
Black Lotus artwork is still the best. A good friend of mine owned the whole power 9 alpha set. He sold it back in 2008 to pay off hospital bills and capitalized on the crashing housing market to buy him a house.
He was able to purchase a set of power 9 unlimited several years later.
I would say the black lotus.
Walk. My P9 literally is all just sitting in toploaders in a box....The game sucks now.
@@BucketNakedz the power of magic can stop people from getting bankrupt
@@ci8387 it's pretty magical
Ancestral Recall is just like Pot of Greed, a free plus with no downside.
Demonic tutor if it was in yugioh would be pronto banned for its a free omni search with no cost and no OPT
Pot of greed is banned in yugioh and nobody has considered taking it off the banlist in a long time. Its broken
I don't get the mox gems, can someone please explain why they're broken?
I mean, aren't they just land that you can play multiple of? Something like Azusa gives you the ability to play three land in a turn
Azusa costs mana, and there is a limit. Mox gems are 0 mana and are not restricted to how many you can play in a turn.
So it’s free lands
@@lethalsandwhich that makes sense, thanks for clearing it up
@@orr4337 Azusa can also die really easily, and hinges on you having lots of lands in your hand, making it inconsistent
Ah, the times they are a changin
Mana down under, i also have cards from 93 until 99, power 9 cards i have from Beta, Unlimited, but Alpha i didn't not reach in the 90's, but that's okay. 👍🇫🇮
I hate how he says mana like "manner" but anyways I'm a pre-teen and I got handed sooo much magic the gathering cards like easily 1-2 kgs of straight cardboard and I mean my u cle played in around the late 90s/early 00s. When did they stop making these cards?
If they printed 10,000 of these they would be gone in an hour I can see why they don’t print them
My dad has a black lotus card. he gave it to me but i'm not sure if i should keep it.
Hello
I don't see why ancestral recall is considered an over powered card... I mean what is so special about drawing 3 cards or forcing your opponent to draw 3 cards...
Timmy, we understand that you love your big creatures and tribal decks. The reason why ancestral recall is an "OP" card is the fact that you're getting 3 cards for 1 BLUE mana. Think about it. Think about it long and hard. If your deck doesn't have any other cards that allow you to draw a card, you have to wait for your next turn to draw a card. This card gives you 3, yes 3 cards for 1 mana. Which indirectly means you're essentially 3 turns ahead of your opponent.
Tournament level players are NOT looking to summon their 9/9 creature, gain 240 life, have an army of 20+ angels/squirrels/goblins tokens before they win. They're looking to win AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
When you finally realize that the main point of the game is to WIN, then you won't care about your life total, summoning creatures or having other stupid effects. This card, ancestral recall which gives you 3 cards for 1 mana, helps accelerate that immensely by digging through your deck to find the cards to win. If a player has to sacrifice all their life (down to 1), mill through half their deck so they can get the "combo cards" to win (thus discarding 40+ cards), they'll do it.
💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡🤨
then you dont know anything about card advantage in TCGs. 1 mana draw 3 is disgustingly broken
