How to use a mouse with an iPhone

- Setting up a mouse to work with your iPhone can be a bit tricky if you don't have directions. But it's easy to pair if you watch this tutorial. Here's the mouse I use: amzn.to/45mXKaR (affiliate link)
You'll need a Bluetooth mouse, not a wifi or USB wireless mouse, like the Logitech M535
You'll need iOS 13.4 or newer. Earlier versions don't support using mice.
And you'll need to set it up through Accessibility, not Bluetooth.
The settings should be similar with an iPad.

I tried connecting my mouse and it just shows a loading circle. It won’t connect even though it recognizes the mouse.

All goes good, except it ask for a PIN to continuing pairing. Sadly, I tried 1234, 0000, 9999 and no joy. It's a Targus Bluetooth Mouse Model: AMB04US

I tried it on my iPhone and Remote Desktop but the Remote Desktop is in landscape and the mouse move up if i tried to move side. I don’t know how to configure it.

@@BrightonsReviewsandMore I already fixed it up. I changed the display settings of windows Remote Desktop to auto adjust so whatever iPhone screen orientation the mouse will follow

My mouse only had the turn on switch on the bottom and not the paring switch

I think not, but you can set different actions to the AssistiveTouch button to make it a bit more convenient and neat

It looks like it's complicated. I searched online and found lots of people having similar problems. The only thing I can suggest is try updating to the latest iOS version to see if that helps.

The mouse cannot have the little USB dongle thing. You need a different mouse.

You need a bluetooth mouse. That HP 200 is a wireless mouse (connecting to tiny dongle you plug into your computer's USB port.) The bluetooth mice don't have that dongle.

Sorry I can't help. I've only used mine on my iPhone and it worked once I found the right spot to connect it.
Can the mouse be used to point to a specific location for where to insert or delete characters when editing text while composing an email or text message? My fat finger doesn't work very well for that.
I don't have one hooked up now, but I believe that is possible.
Also - try rolling your finger on the screen instead of moving it. Get close, then roll left or right.

@@oldironchops you should be able to hold down the space bar on your on screen keyboard. Once you feel the phone ‘click’ keep your finger held down and you can actually move and put the cursor exactly where you want to. No mouse or keyboard necessary! Hope this helps!!!!

Are you sure you're using a bluetooth mouse? Most people that have a problem are using a USB Wireless mouse.
