This is my initial review since I just got the ipad and I'm hoping to update it when I've had it longer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . I purchased one that was listed as "acceptable condition" and was a little worried about what it would look like. However, I am pleased with its condition. The back has some scuffs and a small dent near the logo. There are a few tiny marks at the bottom of the front of the ipad but the condition of the screen is perfect. There are no scratches or anything. I was able to set it up, use it, and it charges fine. I'm hoping it continues to work well for me. So far it was worth the purchase. Also shipping was fast. The item came one day earlier than expected

My iPad has essentially been doubling as a second laptop, and I really don’t want to drop a ton on a Smart Keyboard cover. This video was super helpful!! I’m trying to get into writing music on Notion but it’s absolute hell without a mouse at the least, thank goodness I can actually use one!

Can you chrome cast while those devices are connected to an iPhone ?
Yes, I’d imagine so? iOS supports multiple Bluetooth devices at once.

Thank you! I went to the Apple store and asked them whether my wireless keyboard/mouse, with the little USB thing would work with the iPad Pro and they told me no. Good to know it actually does work and Apple employees don’t know what they’re talking about!
Errrr..... yeah. They are told to say no as they can’t “guarantee” that every device will work. Most do / especially nice and keyboards which are almost 100% class compliant. 👍
Pete Johns thanks! I also asked about connecting an external hard drive and they told me no to that as well. A little search online showed that I can (a guy connected the same Seagate drive that I have).

It does seem a little strange that I’m going out of my way to use an older input method that the iPad has tried to eliminate! But it’s just too darn convenient!!

Can you show me how to hook up my universal audio Apollo 8 to my iPad Pro. I connected the thunder bolt 3 cable and the iPad said it wasn’t compatible
I’m pretty sure her Apollo is not class compliant (needs a driver to operate) and therefore won’t work with iOS. ruclips.net/video/K95B2-KfMak/видео.html

You’d need an iPad with USB-C for this. Lightning doesn’t support USB devices and HDMI output at the same time unfortunately. ruclips.net/video/WprzVbqzGsQ/видео.html

Thanks for that helpful video, Pete. I want to have a stand-alone monitor connected to my ipad and I can now do that after watching your video. However, my preference would be the ability to use mouse and keyboard functions on the monitor rather than on the ipad (easier to see on monitor) but I guess as the monitor is just duplicating what is on the ipad, the monitor would not offer interactivity with the keyboard and mouse. Is that correct?

Nope - appears that a keyboard and mouse doesn’t work so well with an iPad or iPhone with Roblox unfortunately.

Nope. Touch screen control apps don’t work well with keyboard and mouse - at least yet.

i’m not doing the USB, i already tried connecting my mouse through the Accessibility and it worked, i’ve tried my keyboard and it’s worked i’m not spending my money on a USB that’s completely useless

Can you have a keyboard that can’t connect more than one device?
Can’t or can? The K480 I show can connect to three different devices.
I have the Rii wireless mouse and keyboard and my iPad which has iOS 13 can’t detect it. You pushed a couple of buttons on the keyboard but I didn’t follow what you did.

Hi Peter, first of all i want to thank you for all your videos regarding GarageBand, i’ve been using usb keyboard and mouse for months on my iPad in Garageband, but suddenly one day the keyboard start to be not responsive, sometimes work sometimes not and it really driving me crazy cause i can’t find the reason. Do you also experienced this kind of problem? Thank you
That’s an odd one. USB or Bluetooth? Maybe provide some more info and ask over at the GarageBand Users Facebook group. Also make sure you are using a genuine Apple Lightning to USB 3 adapter.

Yes. All iPads with iOS 13 or later will support keyboard and mouse.
It says it uses to much power and it doesn’t work.

That's a bummer! Should be fine and dandy there as long as you have iOS 13 or later. Maybe try again or use a different keyboard/mouse?
