I have reported a family member for child abuse. It ripped our family apart. My own parents would not talk to me for years. Until it went to court. They we convicted of child abuse and neglect. It was not until the Judge said to my family member that if it was not for her (he pointed to me) and for calling out this horrific atrocities early enough to save these kids, you might be looking at a life sentence. It still took a few years for my parents and brothers to see what I did was the right thing, and you can't keep quiet just because it's family. But it does destroy family's when this goes on.
I hope you got massive, sincere and groveling apologies from everyone as well as the space not to forgive right away. I’m not sure if I would forgive people who punished me for protecting children while they enabled their suffering by remaining silent
I feel like enabling is just as bad as the abuse. It’s obviously not the same thing but at the end of the day it went on and no one cared to stop it. The abuser was more important than the person being abused.

The relative who abused their children was the one that separated the family, not you. I'm glad you did report it because there's just a few people like you that do the right thing despite the collateral damage that may happen.

I think it would be another abuse for cps to give custody to someone with a RUclips channel. They have been exposed and forced to participate in their mom’s channel. They deserve their privacy. I don’t think you could call even a non abusive social media channel mentally healthy for them.
@@Zhana808it’s quite common that family members who might be called to testify in child abuse cases are warned not to talk in public about anything that may be evidence in the court case….otherwise if it goes to a jury case it can be seen as prejudicing the jury.
These videos have left WAY more questions than answers. Strangers who watched the 8 Passengers channel was stating there was abuse going on, and has called it in. The oldest daughter stated there was abuse going on and she was in contact with BOTH of her aunts after leaving her mother to go to college. Even the neighbors were stating that something wasn't right and THEY called it in as well. (Correct me if I am wrong, I could be.) I can understand sisters being out of touch, living in different states, your families are growing, but to turn a complete and total blind eye...to state you knew nothing of what was happening and then in the next breath state you did everything within your legal rights...I think there does need to be a deeper investigation. Honestly I would love to see them both on the stand and answering these very hard questions. Another thing: neither one of the sisters made ANY mention of the children and their wellbeing and concern for them. It was concern over THIER OWN CHANNELS. Their own "houses being built" or "being left to tend to their own kids without a husband for a period of time." Sickening. These poor kids deserve better. DO BETTER.
Exactly, they admitted to knowing for 3 years. If they really cared and knew nothing was being done, they’d stop at NOTHING within their legal rights to make sure the children were being cared for properly. They have a far bigger advantage than most because they all have platforms. How about using that to bring awareness to the fact that DHS and law enforcement weren’t doing anything to ensure the safety and well being of the children as they claim. It’s mind blowing how selfish and self centered they all are. My heart aches for ALL the children, not just Ruby’s.
I agree with you. However, I haven't spoken to my sister since 2010 and we live more than 3,000 miles apart but I still know everything going on in her daily life. Just saying.
People need to remember the state this happened in. It's not a place where a small group of people are raised with a particular mindset. A majority. A VAST majority. Law enforcement. Government workers (think children's services). And, the system is set up that if someone turns someone else in, their bishop can discipline the whistleblower. Everything is set up to protect their church. (A huge multi billion dollar organization) money = power. Why did the scandals in the Catholic Church get perpetuated? For this exact reason. I have nothing against faith and spirituality. But when power and authority at any level usurp the law, or create a culture that allows victimization of others, then I do have a problem . A sad state of affairs.

Multi generational trauma and a*use that seems to be acceptable in their families.

Her anger and defensiveness makes her sound guilty. She might not have been aware of the duct-taping, but she was privy to her sister's habits of withholding food and threatening her children. It's pretty likely that the sisters share at least some parenting behaviors with Ruby; beyond that possibility, her attitude is totally self serving. I would bet there's a level of abuse going on in her own household and she's desperate to evade culpability
I believe that every adult who witnesses abuse is morally responsible to report it. Adults need to be the voice for children who are being abused. The sisters should have spoken up and reported it. That includes the father Kevin who stood by, then walked away and allowed it to happen.

It’s so great that everyone would report, but it appears as if reporting did NO good. Frankie’s oldest daughter has reported, neighbors have reported and nothing was ever done. It’s really sad and disturbing that for as many times as the Frankie’s have been investigated, nothing has been done.
Whistleblowers in this community are severely punished. They lose jobs, are kicked out of post secondary placements, etc etc. It's a 'tow the line or else' environment. That's not an excuse. But Jodi has purportedly used her influence to really hurt people who tried to stand up against her actions..... the people reporting may have done so in good faith. People following up may have been less willing to follow through. We just don't really know and can't accuse them. Hopefully the courts can shed more light on this.

There is another family member a cousin to these sisters, who said that she was abused as a child by her own mother, who was a sister to either Ruby Frank’s mother,or father I don’t recall but she did state the cousins had no contact except occasionally, she also said her own mother was the black sheep, but also stated this was Generational Abuse on Ruby’s side of family ly.

The juxtaposition of her sister cleaning the house and saying her her heart was broken just struck me as all wrong in so many ways and I just don’t even know how to describe it. My heart is actually broken for these kids. I’ve worked with abused kids and it’s so difficult. The children really are innocent victims in all this and they carry these scars long after they have physically healed. Bonnie’s channel was flagged and she had to have a meeting with RUclips headquarters because she had a history of posting video after video,with clickbaity thumbnails of her children with different injuries, illnesses, etc etc over and over again. I think RUclips were not only concerned for the children but concerned they were starting a pattern of encouraging other family vlogs promoting those types of videos, maybe leading to downright abuse in order to have that kind of click bait content. They made her remove those videos although some still are there - she has her own history of exploiting her children in her videos. This is her 2nd video about ruby and the children, which was BEFORE the gag order and it was still all, about her, her, her and her primary concern being continuing her content. She deleted it and tried this one but this one still feels completely tone deaf to me. She just needs to rake a break and stop making it about her. If any of the other recent Carl crusher videos about her are true then she is truly a hypocrite and this family has serious toxic issues all around.

I can understand that a lot of it was hidden. Even the neighbor on 911 call said they knew Jodi was bad, but didn’t know just how bad. I think it was so much worse than anyone imagined. These two women were master manipulators. These sisters probably were family members that notified LE and CPS, and they did come out and did nothing. If LE and CPS is the authority, what are you supposed to do when *they* do *nothing*? You can’t kidnap your siblings children when they have rights under the law, and the law didn’t even take the children until they saw it firsthand and the dirty secrets of the horrific abuse came out. Even the children were brainwashed not to tell. The adult child of Ruby did call police about the children left alone without food. Again, nothing was done. How much blame can you put on the older estranged children of Ruby and her sisters. They did try. The system failed.

I just watched a program where. a senior in college kept repeatedly calling about problems with a ex boyfriend whom she had just broken up with. The university of Utah campus police completely dropped the ball. They even were told he was a registered sex offender. He came on campus when she was walking home from class to her dorm and he kidnapped and killed her. She was an outstanding athlete and student. Such a heartbreaking case.
Actually, Kevin failed his children. In one of his lawyer's interviews with Jesse Weber of Law & Crime Network, he (the lawyer) said Kevin actually BLOCKED his kids. Even if he wanted to go with Jodi & Ruby's B.S., WHO claims to be a caring father and family man and completely ghosts their minor children for over a year? Going no contact? Not. A. Dad. Biological parent, yes. No dad to them. I pray he doesn't get reunified with the kids as his judgment is so off as to the children's needs. I hope they go to another family member.

I used to watch them back when they lived in a small apartment. Apparently 3 of the sisters used covid small business loans that were all forgiven so you can see what kind of people they are…
To add to that I think the reason 8 passengers had more subscribers is because they had teens who they exploited for views and the others had small babies.
Did you call the child abuse hotline? Did you ask for a welfare check? Did you contact the sheriffs department? And technically the father can’t just go and take the children. If he is not the custodial parent he really has no right. This chick is doing damage control.

Not once has it reported, thus far, that Bonnie, Julie, the grandparents or any other family member, besides Shari called.
I'm really glad that Sherri (RF's oldest daughter?) felt comfortable enough to build relationships back up with her aunts. If she is estranged from her parents. She definitely needs some sort of support as a young adult coming into her own. Heck, she could even contact her grandparents on both sides and her aunts & uncles on her dad's side if she wants.

The other's followed: Bonnie Hoellein in 2014 , Deru Crew now Julie Deru in 2014, then in 2015, Ruby created the 8 Passengers channel. I feel like they found a way to earn extra money sharing their stories, so why not RUclips. There were a lot of people doing it. Your channel was created to share your knowledge and it also serves as a way to earn extra money. I say this as you asked were the other family members riding Ruby's coat tails. No they were there before and Ruby saw it as a way to earn extra money also. Although Ruby was very extreme. I feel the fact that she has 6 children drew people to her channel which is why her channel grew so large. In many of the Griffith family get together videos they would tell people to go and subscribe to the other channels, which helped.
They do RUclips videos exploiting their children. Their children have no privacy and they don't care because they're bringing in millions of dollars. That's all they care about.
Reporting to child protection services is confidential. REPORT suspicions/concerns for crying out loud!!!! Even if the call is screened out, there will remain a record. Imagine what such a record could be helping Franke situation right now!!
The older daughter is the only one with clean hands. She did her best to rescue her siblings. CPS ignored her. For some reason older daughter has a relationship now with her aunts, but not her father.😊
There's a big difference between the legal right and responsibilities a father has vs. an aunt. Where an aunt can have the excuse of not knowing a father has the responsibility to know how his kids are doing.
Exactly my brother's children were in foster care when the state seized them. I was willing but the social worker said no I want them to have to get them back without using family so they can continue there lifestyle and frankly my husband had only been sober a year, I lost my mom a week prior, and I had two teenagers ,and I think the social worker was against me because I never reported them .I think the kids don't think I cared but I'd get them on weekends sometimes before the state stepped in by Monday morning after taking care of four babies under the age of eight I was exhausted , looking at it now I know my husband and my kids would have helped but at the time I didn't think so cause my husband said if you want them sure but don't expect me to help out .
Except the sisters said on RUclips that they did know for 3 years and legally they could not do anything. A lot of people think they could have done something to help their nieces and nephews but didn't.
I’m sorry you and those kids went through all that. I helped friends when they were struggling with their kids, which was my joy to do. I’m sorry we don’t have organized communities of helpers so we can get people the support they need. Like that saying goes, it takes a village, you needed the extra help and I’m sorry you didn’t have a group of women or people to help you.
The problem is that moms can do too good a job keeping kids from fathers and he was likely bullied into staying away. Maybe even blackmailed. There may have been no way for him to know. Or he just wanted out and threw up his hands ignorantly.
Yeah go watch her videos on her parenting. Specifically the blanket videos and the “how to force your kids into submission” type of videos. She’s the exact same narcissistic, selfish, unloving mother Ruby is. Her kids are nothing but props to her videos and life, just like Ruby. She is the dictator, everything must be perfect and quiet and clean and go precisely as she has ordered, or all hell will break loose - just like Ruby. There’s one video her small child makes a semi-loud little giggle in the background - while mom has been sitting talking to her phone forever like always - and the way Bonnie turns and looks at that kid made my stomach turn. She pretty much shoots a glare back at her small child for making a noise while she’s filming. You can tell she did it before remembering she was on camera and caught herself, turned back and went about talking. The kid didn’t make another sound tho. It reminded me of that video clip (if any of you saw it) or Meghan Markle shooting her mom that death look when her mom dared speak before her, and then kinda catches herself and reaches up to touch her hair as like a shield for what she just did. It’s one of those looks that came so quick and told a huge story about how things are off camera. Bonnie also does her blanket training BS, which is just “this is how you force your small children to sit in one spot quietly for hours, through punishment and restraint and discipline and discomfort, because it makes your day way easier not having to deal with them being normal human kids”. She wants to just shelf them, forget about them, and pull them back off the shelf when it’s time to make some money on videos. Then back to the shelf they go. They are props and nothing more. It seems like that sort of personality disorder runs heavily in their genes and I feel so bad for those children throughout that entire family. Bonnie is an arrogant, self absorbed, narcissistic and borderline abusive person herself, and has no room to talk. God only knows what the hell happens at her house when the camera is turned off. And the other sister - she just doesn’t give a sh!t. That’s clear in her video. She’s all about “Fine I’m addressing this even though I don’t owe anything to anyone - this whole thing sucks and I don’t want to think about it and I’m getting back to my life, either get on board or get out. In the video of Bonnie- I think you missed her first video which makes this video appear “cryptic”. The “I am not my sister” video is actually her second video. People came at her HARD on that first video and this one makes more sense if you’ve seen that one. She’s addressing the criticism she received on that video. Like people were asking how she could go on living her life and building a dream home during the time her nieces and nephews were being abused. It went Bonnie (Brunette) posted a video- took it down (sitting on couch with a hat) Bonnie posted another video (in front of wall) Julie (blonde) posted her video. How did they not notice something wasn’t right? I’m in touch with 5 sisters enough to know if my nieces or nephews are not being treated well. And… I would do any and everything to protect them. I do not fear my sisters nor their husbands!
Well I kind of agree Kevin was the one who was in a better position to do something, he just left after Frankie kicked him out and he did nothing legally to check on their children when he knew Jodi was radicalizing her to scary levels...I mean if Kevin is now saying he had no idea what was happening that is BS, the stuff he saw and condoned over the years to all the kids was child abuse even if there wasn't duck tape involved. It's not easy to tell your siblings what to do and you never know what really happens behind closed doors. But Kevin did know. How many kids are in the same situation as we speak under the nose of these people who think they would have saved the day. Saldy laws that protect children are not clear or enforced properly by those responsable to enforce them. That is why children keep falling through the cracks. Your family may not agree with your parenting style but to send the cops on you when they haven't seen duck tape on your children is simply not reality.

Not once does either of them say "If we had known the extent of what was being done to our nieces and nephews we would have done more!!!!" If the oldest niece was informing them on what she had been subjected to, even before Hildebrandt was involved, how could they claim not to know. I'm trying to be objective but as people who have platforms about "family values" they could have shined the light to force closer examination of Connexions. Apparently other platforms were doing it, without repercussions, having "inside baseball" and calling it out couldn't have hurt! They protected their brand then and they are trying to protect their brand now. I had no idea these types of platforms existed, it makes me 🤮. The clips I've seen of 8 Passengers, exposing all their kids lives, stripping them if their privacy 😬 those kids had no safe space. This family is like a Mormon petting zoo, putting their children on exhibition for profit and fame! 👺👹🤬
If you havent yet , watching some of Ruby and Jodis Connexions videos will explain the "talking in circles " comment. They had their own cult lingo that literally made zero sense. Once Jodi moved in and kicked Kevin out ,they were adhering to this mindset involving "distortion " and "truth". They had rebranded words in the English language to mean something different. " Pain" was something good and helpful. Completely psycho stuff,but the videos shed light on what was going on.
She loves the attention and she is having a wonderful time recording this video. How many times did she record this before she felt it was perfect. Bazillions I bet.

I don't remember whose channel it was on but a disguised self-proclaimed estranged adult cousin of Ruby and her sisters said that their mom was extreme her discipline as well. That the sisters learned discipline from their mother. It would be interesting to learn more details about how Ruby and the sisters were raised. Based on what little the cousin said, the sisters may be in trouble with CPS and/or law enforcement as well. My heart breaks for all those kids going through some sh##. 😢
This whole case is just heartbreaking. I never heard of Ruby Franke before this all started but I did follow her parent's channel and they seem like such good people.
When she says “we did everything we could legally” - are we sure she didn’t report her? Don’t we know that the older daughter had called CPS on her mother, and that in some of her comments she has said “we”? Not that I know one way or the other. But do we know for sure she wasn’t part of some of the previous reports/CPS calls? Because we know there were multiple calls. Maybe what she had seen was enough for her to call but - as she says - it was “not legally enough” for CPS to actually do anything?
Our family has fallen victim of Jodi. What Bonnie is saying I totally believe! We have 0 contact and still have no idea how our grandchildren are doing or where they are. This all sounds so familiar! Never heard of this Bonnie, but when she started to talk, it is identical to our experience.
But they did say were in touch with the oldest daughter (for a year or more ) who told them what was happening with her younger siblings. Both sisters spoke on this.

I wish you could comment on the Utah "Free Parenting" law. It allows parents to leave their kids alone at their discretion, at ANY age. So when pple were calling CPS & the Police bc the kids were alone for periods of time and they are not harmed, CPS & the Police can't do anything. People are not understanding this law. The law is NOT helpful for children of nutso, narcissist parents, so sad.

The first sister was so selfish in her comments that i had to fast forward towards the end. I think it takes a lot for family to report family but if I knew that my nieces and nephews were not getting fed that's where I would report. If it was "getting sent to bed without dinner" then I unfortunately would not because I would know nothing would come of it. But if I knew that they were regularly not getting fed or getting normal care I would have to report. It would be hard because they didn't have access for 3 years. It came to the point where the schools didn't report and the schools have legal reporting liability. I just think the sisters sound more like "me me me" than the poor kids. Even if they are not allowed to make specific comments. I would think you could hear "I love my nieces and nephews and I just want to know they are safe".
I am so disappointed that Bonnie seems more concerned for her new BUILD than the children I am convinced that the family knew about Rubys parenting skills because they are very close to Shari the oldest daughter.

The parents have their own RUclips channel under Ma and Pa Griffiths. They are in Slovenia on a mission. Utah has an unusual number of bloggers and other influencers have been very pleased to include the 8 Passengers on their channels, having them on vacation with them and having individual children be part of their activities to garner likes. These are all people brought up in the Mormon faith and many now have millions of dollars with huge mansions and many luxurious vacations and material wealth. Many have been indoctrinated in certain practices such as blanket training which is abusive so don’t necessarily recognize what is not appropriate.
The sisters fluctuate between "I had no idea" to "I tried to do something for the kids". I'm quite sure they had "some idea". Not saying they knew the extent of it but they had "some idea". The 8 Passengers channel already had enough emotional abuse content that Rubie's own subscribers reported her to CPS. CPS had been out at the house at least twice, but never did anything. Harsh punishments are also seen on the sisters' channels. Blanket training is widely practiced among these "high demand" religions that expect a baby to pop out the mom with fully adult behavior. Blanket training forces a toddler, sometimes as young as 6 months to be able to understand the concept of keeping themselves occupied for long periods of time without asking for attention from mom. If they cry, they are completely ignored. This is to "teach them". Of course they don't learn the intended lesson because thy are way too young to understand that lesson. That is only the tip of the iceberg on the sisters channels. Ruby's channel had far worse stuff for many years. And her husband went right along with the harsh punishments for very small "infractions". Much of what Ruby did was fully reportable by anyone who has a duty to report. I think Jodi's contribution was to go from emotional abuse to full out physical abuse of the kids. Which her husband may well not have been aware of as far as what has been typical of Jodi successfully getting women to shut their husbands completely out of any family business whatsoever. So, I believe Kevin that he didn't know about the physical abuse. But emotional abuse he was all in on.
Something to keep in mind is in many states, withholding a meal or taking away comfort isn't bad enough for CPS to get involved. There has to be a significant effect on the child, visibly losing weight, the child being suicidal, ect. The things I've seen on their channel would be legally considered "bad parenting" and not criminal abuse. Now, the info that had come out since the son escaped the house is a different story. They may not have known about the more extreme actions that rise to abuse from a legal perspective.
I agree, they knew they were extreme (like everyone else watching Frankie's videos) but from that to duck tape is a big difference. I also think Kevin was the.one who could have and should have done something because from his standpoimt he knew how radicalized she was getting, to leave the house knowing that leaving the kids behind with those two women is on him
I have reported a family member for child abuse. It ripped our family apart. My own parents would not talk to me for years. Until it went to court. They we convicted of child abuse and neglect. It was not until the Judge said to my family member that if it was not for her (he pointed to me) and for calling out this horrific atrocities early enough to save these kids, you might be looking at a life sentence. It still took a few years for my parents and brothers to see what I did was the right thing, and you can't keep quiet just because it's family. But it does destroy family's when this goes on.
I hope you got massive, sincere and groveling apologies from everyone as well as the space not to forgive right away. I’m not sure if I would forgive people who punished me for protecting children while they enabled their suffering by remaining silent
I feel like enabling is just as bad as the abuse. It’s obviously not the same thing but at the end of the day it went on and no one cared to stop it. The abuser was more important than the person being abused.

The relative who abused their children was the one that separated the family, not you. I'm glad you did report it because there's just a few people like you that do the right thing despite the collateral damage that may happen.

I think it would be another abuse for cps to give custody to someone with a RUclips channel. They have been exposed and forced to participate in their mom’s channel. They deserve their privacy. I don’t think you could call even a non abusive social media channel mentally healthy for them.
@@Zhana808it’s quite common that family members who might be called to testify in child abuse cases are warned not to talk in public about anything that may be evidence in the court case….otherwise if it goes to a jury case it can be seen as prejudicing the jury.

These videos have left WAY more questions than answers. Strangers who watched the 8 Passengers channel was stating there was abuse going on, and has called it in. The oldest daughter stated there was abuse going on and she was in contact with BOTH of her aunts after leaving her mother to go to college. Even the neighbors were stating that something wasn't right and THEY called it in as well. (Correct me if I am wrong, I could be.) I can understand sisters being out of touch, living in different states, your families are growing, but to turn a complete and total blind eye...to state you knew nothing of what was happening and then in the next breath state you did everything within your legal rights...I think there does need to be a deeper investigation. Honestly I would love to see them both on the stand and answering these very hard questions.
Another thing: neither one of the sisters made ANY mention of the children and their wellbeing and concern for them. It was concern over THIER OWN CHANNELS. Their own "houses being built" or "being left to tend to their own kids without a husband for a period of time."

Exactly, they admitted to knowing for 3 years. If they really cared and knew nothing was being done, they’d stop at NOTHING within their legal rights to make sure the children were being cared for properly. They have a far bigger advantage than most because they all have platforms. How about using that to bring awareness to the fact that DHS and law enforcement weren’t doing anything to ensure the safety and well being of the children as they claim. It’s mind blowing how selfish and self centered they all are. My heart aches for ALL the children, not just Ruby’s.

People need to remember the state this happened in. It's not a place where a small group of people are raised with a particular mindset. A majority. A VAST majority. Law enforcement. Government workers (think children's services). And, the system is set up that if someone turns someone else in, their bishop can discipline the whistleblower. Everything is set up to protect their church. (A huge multi billion dollar organization) money = power. Why did the scandals in the Catholic Church get perpetuated? For this exact reason. I have nothing against faith and spirituality. But when power and authority at any level usurp the law, or create a culture that allows victimization of others, then I do have a problem . A sad state of affairs.

Multi generational trauma and a*use that seems to be acceptable in their families.

Her anger and defensiveness makes her sound guilty. She might not have been aware of the duct-taping, but she was privy to her sister's habits of withholding food and threatening her children. It's pretty likely that the sisters share at least some parenting behaviors with Ruby; beyond that possibility, her attitude is totally self serving. I would bet there's a level of abuse going on in her own household and she's desperate to evade culpability
I believe that every adult who witnesses abuse is morally responsible to report it. Adults need to be the voice for children who are being abused. The sisters should have spoken up and reported it.
That includes the father Kevin who stood by, then walked away and allowed it to happen.

He was part of the ABUSE before he went away. Ruby dose deserve to be in jail for years, and I don't believe he will get custody. It’s so great that everyone would report, but it appears as if reporting did NO good. Frankie’s oldest daughter has reported, neighbors have reported and nothing was ever done. It’s really sad and disturbing that for as many times as the Frankie’s have been investigated, nothing has been done.
Whistleblowers in this community are severely punished. They lose jobs, are kicked out of post secondary placements, etc etc. It's a 'tow the line or else' environment. That's not an excuse. But Jodi has purportedly used her influence to really hurt people who tried to stand up against her actions..... the people reporting may have done so in good faith. People following up may have been less willing to follow through. We just don't really know and can't accuse them. Hopefully the courts can shed more light on this.

There is another family member a cousin to these sisters, who said that she was abused as a child by her own mother, who was a sister to either Ruby Frank’s mother,or father I don’t recall but she did state the cousins had no contact except occasionally, she also said her own mother was the black sheep, but also stated this was Generational Abuse on Ruby’s side of family ly.

The juxtaposition of her sister cleaning the house and saying her her heart was broken just struck me as all wrong in so many ways and I just don’t even know how to describe it. My heart is actually broken for these kids. I’ve worked with abused kids and it’s so difficult. The children really are innocent victims in all this and they carry these scars long after they have physically healed. Let’s hope they don’t end up on any of her sisters vlogging channels I couldn’t think of anything worse. I have a feeling no judge would allow that to happen anyway though.

Bonnie’s channel was flagged and she had to have a meeting with RUclips headquarters because she had a history of posting video after video,with clickbaity thumbnails of her children with different injuries, illnesses, etc etc over and over again. I think RUclips were not only concerned for the children but concerned they were starting a pattern of encouraging other family vlogs promoting those types of videos, maybe leading to downright abuse in order to have that kind of click bait content. They made her remove those videos although some still are there - she has her own history of exploiting her children in her videos.
This is her 2nd video about ruby and the children, which was BEFORE the gag order and it was still all, about her, her, her and her primary concern being continuing her content. She deleted it and tried this one but this one still feels completely tone deaf to me. She just needs to rake a break and stop making it about her. If any of the other recent Carl crusher videos about her are true then she is truly a hypocrite and this family has serious toxic issues all around.

I can understand that a lot of it was hidden. Even the neighbor on 911 call said they knew Jodi was bad, but didn’t know just how bad. I think it was so much worse than anyone imagined. These two women were master manipulators.

The adult child of Ruby did call police about the children left alone without food. Again, nothing was done. How much blame can you put on the older estranged children of Ruby and her sisters. They did try. The system failed.
The cops had the right to kick the door in when they saw that the kids were left alone.
You can keep calling and get everyone else to keep calling. You can keep trying to collect evidence! Theres a f of a lot more could've been done.

I just watched a program where. a senior in college kept repeatedly calling about problems with a ex boyfriend whom she had just broken up with. The university of Utah campus police completely dropped the ball. They even were told he was a registered sex offender. He came on campus when she was walking home from class to her dorm and he kidnapped and killed her. She was an outstanding athlete and student. Such a heartbreaking case.
Actually, Kevin failed his children. In one of his lawyer's interviews with Jesse Weber of Law & Crime Network, he (the lawyer) said Kevin actually BLOCKED his kids. Even if he wanted to go with Jodi & Ruby's B.S., WHO claims to be a caring father and family man and completely ghosts their minor children for over a year? Going no contact? Not. A. Dad. Biological parent, yes. No dad to them. I pray he doesn't get reunified with the kids as his judgment is so off as to the children's needs. I hope they go to another family member.
What upsets me is the fact that the judge told the sisters not to comment on the case and what does she do, she talks about it!! So now it’s going to muddy the water and that really makes me mad!!

Ellie from Ellie and Jared were the first ones who started their RUclips channel then all the other saw their “success” and started their own. Every single one of them have a channel. I used to watch them back when they lived in a small apartment. Apparently 3 of the sisters used covid small business loans that were all forgiven so you can see what kind of people they are…
To add to that I think the reason 8 passengers had more subscribers is because they had teens who they exploited for views and the others had small babies.

Did you call the child abuse hotline? Did you ask for a welfare check? Did you contact the sheriffs department? And technically the father can’t just go and take the children. If he is not the custodial parent he really has no right.

I'm really glad that Sherri (RF's oldest daughter?) felt comfortable enough to build relationships back up with her aunts. If she is estranged from her parents. She definitely needs some sort of support as a young adult coming into her own. Heck, she could even contact her grandparents on both sides and her aunts & uncles on her dad's side if she wants.

The other's followed: Bonnie Hoellein in 2014 , Deru Crew now Julie Deru in 2014, then in 2015, Ruby created the 8 Passengers channel. I feel like they found a way to earn extra money sharing their stories, so why not RUclips. There were a lot of people doing it. Your channel was created to share your knowledge and it also serves as a way to earn extra money. I say this as you asked were the other family members riding Ruby's coat tails. No they were there before and Ruby saw it as a way to earn extra money also. Although Ruby was very extreme. I feel the fact that she has 6 children drew people to her channel which is why her channel grew so large. In many of the Griffith family get together videos they would tell people to go and subscribe to the other channels, which helped.
The weirdness of Ruby was more mild in the beginning so people didn’t see it. Ellie is very similar but people don’t see that either.
They do RUclips videos exploiting their children. Their children have no privacy and they don't care because they're bringing in millions of dollars. That's all they care about.

There's a big difference between the legal right and responsibilities a father has vs. an aunt. Where an aunt can have the excuse of not knowing a father has the responsibility to know how his kids are doing.
Exactly my brother's children were in foster care when the state seized them. I was willing but the social worker said no I want them to have to get them back without using family so they can continue there lifestyle and frankly my husband had only been sober a year, I lost my mom a week prior, and I had two teenagers ,and I think the social worker was against me because I never reported them .I think the kids don't think I cared but I'd get them on weekends sometimes before the state stepped in by Monday morning after taking care of four babies under the age of eight I was exhausted , looking at it now I know my husband and my kids would have helped but at the time I didn't think so cause my husband said if you want them sure but don't expect me to help out .
Except the sisters said on RUclips that they did know for 3 years and legally they could not do anything. A lot of people think they could have done something to help their nieces and nephews but didn't.
I’m sorry you and those kids went through all that. I helped friends when they were struggling with their kids, which was my joy to do. I’m sorry we don’t have organized communities of helpers so we can get people the support they need. Like that saying goes, it takes a village, you needed the extra help and I’m sorry you didn’t have a group of women or people to help you.
The problem is that moms can do too good a job keeping kids from fathers and he was likely bullied into staying away. Maybe even blackmailed. There may have been no way for him to know. Or he just wanted out and threw up his hands ignorantly.

Yeah go watch her videos on her parenting. Specifically the blanket videos and the “how to force your kids into submission” type of videos. She’s the exact same narcissistic, selfish, unloving mother Ruby is. Her kids are nothing but props to her videos and life, just like Ruby. She is the dictator, everything must be perfect and quiet and clean and go precisely as she has ordered, or all hell will break loose - just like Ruby. There’s one video her small child makes a semi-loud little giggle in the background - while mom has been sitting talking to her phone forever like always - and the way Bonnie turns and looks at that kid made my stomach turn. She pretty much shoots a glare back at her small child for making a noise while she’s filming. You can tell she did it before remembering she was on camera and caught herself, turned back and went about talking. The kid didn’t make another sound tho. It reminded me of that video clip (if any of you saw it) or Meghan Markle shooting her mom that death look when her mom dared speak before her, and then kinda catches herself and reaches up to touch her hair as like a shield for what she just did. It’s one of those looks that came so quick and told a huge story about how things are off camera. Bonnie also does her blanket training BS, which is just “this is how you force your small children to sit in one spot quietly for hours, through punishment and restraint and discipline and discomfort, because it makes your day way easier not having to deal with them being normal human kids”. She wants to just shelf them, forget about them, and pull them back off the shelf when it’s time to make some money on videos. Then back to the shelf they go. They are props and nothing more. It seems like that sort of personality disorder runs heavily in their genes and I feel so bad for those children throughout that entire family. Bonnie is an arrogant, self absorbed, narcissistic and borderline abusive person herself, and has no room to talk. God only knows what the hell happens at her house when the camera is turned off.
And the other sister - she just doesn’t give a sh!t. That’s clear in her video. She’s all about “Fine I’m addressing this even though I don’t owe anything to anyone - this whole thing sucks and I don’t want to think about it and I’m getting back to my life, either get on board or get out. K bye!! ✌🏼”. Just as disgusting as her loony sister Bonnie, only in a different way.

In the video of Bonnie- I think you missed her first video which makes this video appear “cryptic”. The “I am not my sister” video is actually her second video. People came at her HARD on that first video and this one makes more sense if you’ve seen that one. She’s addressing the criticism she received on that video.

Well I kind of agree Kevin was the one who was in a better position to do something, he just left after Frankie kicked him out and he did nothing legally to check on their children when he knew Jodi was radicalizing her to scary levels...I mean if Kevin is now saying he had no idea what was happening that is BS, the stuff he saw and condoned over the years to all the kids was child abuse even if there wasn't duck tape involved.
It's not easy to tell your siblings what to do and you never know what really happens behind closed doors. But Kevin did know.

Saldy laws that protect children are not clear or enforced properly by those responsable to enforce them. That is why children keep falling through the cracks. Not once does either of them say "If we had known the extent of what was being done to our nieces and nephews we would have done more!!!!" If the oldest niece was informing them on what she had been subjected to, even before Hildebrandt was involved, how could they claim not to know. I'm trying to be objective but as people who have platforms about "family values" they could have shined the light to force closer examination of Connexions. Apparently other platforms were doing it, without repercussions, having "inside baseball" and calling it out couldn't have hurt! They protected their brand then and they are trying to protect their brand now. I had no idea these types of platforms existed, it makes me 🤮. The clips I've seen of 8 Passengers, exposing all their kids lives, stripping them if their privacy 😬 those kids had no safe space. This family is like a Mormon petting zoo, putting their children on exhibition for profit and fame! 👺👹🤬

If you havent yet , watching some of Ruby and Jodis Connexions videos will explain the "talking in circles " comment. They had their own cult lingo that literally made zero sense. Once Jodi moved in and kicked Kevin out ,they were adhering to this mindset involving "distortion " and "truth". They had rebranded words in the English language to mean something different. " Pain" was something good and helpful. Completely psycho stuff,but the videos shed light on what was going on.
She loves the attention and she is having a wonderful time recording this video. How many times did she record this before she felt it was perfect. Bazillions I bet.

I don't remember whose channel it was on but a disguised self-proclaimed estranged adult cousin of Ruby and her sisters said that their mom was extreme her discipline as well. That the sisters learned discipline from their mother. It would be interesting to learn more details about how Ruby and the sisters were raised. Based on what little the cousin said, the sisters may be in trouble with CPS and/or law enforcement as well. My heart breaks for all those kids going through some sh##. 😢

Don’t we know that the older daughter had called CPS on her mother, and that in some of her comments she has said “we”? Not that I know one way or the other. Maybe what she had seen was enough for her to call but - as she says - it was “not legally enough” for CPS to actually do anything?

Our family has fallen victim of Jodi. What Bonnie is saying I totally believe! We have 0 contact and still have no idea how our grandchildren are doing or where they are. This all sounds so familiar! Never heard of this Bonnie, but when she started to talk, it is identical to our experience.
But they did say were in touch with the oldest daughter (for a year or more ) who told them what was happening with her younger siblings. Both sisters spoke on this.

I wish you could comment on the Utah "Free Parenting" law. It allows parents to leave their kids alone at their discretion, at ANY age. So when pple were calling CPS & the Police bc the kids were alone for periods of time and they are not harmed, CPS & the Police can't do anything. People are not understanding this law. The law is NOT helpful for children of nutso, narcissist parents, so sad.

The first sister was so selfish in her comments that i had to fast forward towards the end. I think it takes a lot for family to report family but if I knew that my nieces and nephews were not getting fed that's where I would report. If it was "getting sent to bed without dinner" then I unfortunately would not because I would know nothing would come of it. But if I knew that they were regularly not getting fed or getting normal care I would have to report. It would be hard because they didn't have access for 3 years. It came to the point where the schools didn't report and the schools have legal reporting liability. I just think the sisters sound more like "me me me" than the poor kids. Even if they are not allowed to make specific comments. I would think you could hear "I love my nieces and nephews and I just want to know they are safe".

The parents have their own RUclips channel under Ma and Pa Griffiths. They are in Slovenia on a mission. Utah has an unusual number of bloggers and other influencers have been very pleased to include the 8 Passengers on their channels, having them on vacation with them and having individual children be part of their activities to garner likes.
These are all people brought up in the Mormon faith and many now have millions of dollars with huge mansions and many luxurious vacations and material wealth. Many have been indoctrinated in certain practices such as blanket training which is abusive so don’t necessarily recognize what is not appropriate.

The sisters fluctuate between "I had no idea" to "I tried to do something for the kids". I'm quite sure they had "some idea". Not saying they knew the extent of it but they had "some idea".
The 8 Passengers channel already had enough emotional abuse content that Rubie's own subscribers reported her to CPS. CPS had been out at the house at least twice, but never did anything. Harsh punishments are also seen on the sisters' channels. Blanket training is widely practiced among these "high demand" religions that expect a baby to pop out the mom with fully adult behavior. Blanket training forces a toddler, sometimes as young as 6 months to be able to understand the concept of keeping themselves occupied for long periods of time without asking for attention from mom. If they cry, they are completely ignored. This is to "teach them". Of course they don't learn the intended lesson because thy are way too young to understand that lesson. That is only the tip of the iceberg on the sisters channels. Ruby's channel had far worse stuff for many years. And her husband went right along with the harsh punishments for very small "infractions". Much of what Ruby did was fully reportable by anyone who has a duty to report.
I think Jodi's contribution was to go from emotional abuse to full out physical abuse of the kids. Which her husband may well not have been aware of as far as what has been typical of Jodi successfully getting women to shut their husbands completely out of any family business whatsoever. So, I believe Kevin that he didn't know about the physical abuse. But emotional abuse he was all in on.
It can be hard, with family especially, to know what to do when you hear about certain things that might raise suspicion.
Something to keep in mind is in many states, withholding a meal or taking away comfort isn't bad enough for CPS to get involved. There has to be a significant effect on the child, visibly losing weight, the child being suicidal, ect. The things I've seen on their channel would be legally considered "bad parenting" and not criminal abuse. Now, the info that had come out since the son escaped the house is a different story. They may not have known about the more extreme actions that rise to abuse from a legal perspective.
