Yoga: Bend It Like Britain 28:55 Yoga: Bend It Like Britain Season 1 Naga Munchetty delves into the roots of the ancient Indian tradition of yoga.
I am a long time yoga teacher. What I now is that yoga is not for every individual. Some, take time to see the benefit for them. Others never do. I see yoga as a way of living a complete life. Not everyone is looking for that.
I appreciate this comment. I'm a more recent convert to yoga. And it's helped me immensely. When I was younger, I was in a space where I couldn't understand how yoga could be beneficial to me. I'm older and wiser (and oft world-weary), so the practice fits perfectly with where I'm at. But I also feel it's not necessary (or appropriate) for everyone. It requires receptivity...plain and simple.
She doesn’t know how to relax, it’s just about practice. Her own time. We all have our own process 💖
The woman speaking at 13:16 suffering from low self-esteem and depression, you are absolutely gorgeous! I hope yoga has helped you realise that.
This interviewer totally spoiled this program she spoke down to everyone n used the term " they" alot disconnecting herself consequently the whole experience was wasted on her n she has transferd the negativity. This is the best yoga class in the world n the people were orsome. Shame abt the journalist .
How can you get an earth connection all the way up the top of that building??
I was wondering the same thing! !
Gravity
I loved and thoroughly enjoyed watching this! thank you 🙏 the BBC for consistently bringing us good programming and thankyou Naga Munchetty for taking us along on ur journey ❤️
4:22 Interesting thing about this posture (even if maybe not unique): after you've experienced the effect in the body of doing it . . . the effect is evoked in the body _just by seeing it done._
What kind of person puts their shoe's on a painted wall?
she dont get it cause she is not ready to surrender her body and mind to a higher power
if any good happen to India #BBC can't diegest , RIP bbc
I don't know about competition but he is brilliant
entrainement parfait
adiyogi is the originator of yoga.
Ashika Raut you are everywhere 😂😂😂
she cant get it because she is disconnected from her body by playing a role of journalist she misses the point completely
Isn't that the whole point of journalism these days....Missing the point and just arguing needlessly 😂😂😂
Particulary self-sabotaging for Women . . .
She think her real natures is à journalistes.
You won't have the patience to do yoga tell you do yoga, you think I had the patience to do pigeon pose for 6mins at the beginning?
if this is Yoga I am Buddha. The physical aspect of Yoga is just a little part of the whole philosophy and is also a spiritual practice, westerners have to ruin it
Very well said 🙏 Namaste!!
yoga was invented before buddha by hindus❤
Very refreshing
Nice video :)
she is in shoes??
1:00 I wonder how many western practitioners realize this. Including female yoga teachers in spandex..
It’s pretty common knowledge.
very very kevvalam
regards good
Shee try herself as more Britisher than british that's why sher not feeling well other people get benefit from yog sher the karma daridri , i say in marathi
Jai shri radhe kishan ji ki
Perfectly said
focus on breath ,try meditation first
+Siddharth Siddharth I always find the physical asanas loosen me up to the extent that sitting in meditation for 40 minutes is more comfortable. All of it- the asanas, the breathing and the meditation- is a brilliant holistic practice for the entire body, mind and consciousness :)
Me too. If I don't prepare my mind by preparing my body first there's no 'union' for me.
How can someone assign gender to yoga?
Lots of douchey comments for this one (gotta remember rule number one - never look at the comments)
had to scroll down all the way to your comment to realize I was forgetting that haha
It seems this guy knows only bending body....each yoga posture alters the life energy flow...if one doesn't know how the life energy changes with each posture it's better you run and eat heavy.. otherwise this kind of crude yoga will definitely leave you paralyzed.....
You need to search for an accomplished master..
Without that these kind aerobatics will only create problems...
Yoga exercises are good, and so is learning to both physically and mentally relax. But Yoga 'chakra' and 'eternal flame' bullshit is just tiresome and not at all relaxing. At least for me. But it is low-carbon (so long as people don't travel thousands of miles to do it) and largely harmless, so if people find it useful that's fair enough. I was surprised how much I enjoyed doing Yoga (which I had previously assumed was mostly-bullshit). If you can find a practionner doing a flavour that suits you it's well-worth persuing. It's remarkably hard work and thus good excercise.
Typical BBC BOLLOX!!! The blind leading the blind! A documentary on yoga and no mention of Krishnamacary, Patthabi Jois, David Swenson, BKS Iyengar and Sivananada! Bit like having a doc on football and not mentioning Real Madrid, Barcelona Man United Pele or Messi!!! I could choose to construct eloquent sentences for my appraisal - but this does not deserve it - total load of BOLLOX!
Yes, she is arrogant, and shallow for presenting this program...
oh BBC narrative hahaha, funny
