2 children of fallen NYPD officers follow in their fathers' footsteps

The NYPD promoted 177 officers in a ceremony Friday, including two officers whose fathers were shot in the line of duty. They told CBS New York's Shosh Bedrosian they've wanted to follow in their fathers' footsteps since they were young.

I remember Steven McDonald's story. He and his exceptional wife Patti did a wonderful interview with Barbara Walters not long after Conor was born. Steven and his family are a beautiful example of forgiveness and perseverance and achieving the kind of success that matters.

The guy spent behind bars learning, he his lesson he probably did and yet some people want him to pay for it behind balls the rest of his life I get it they have the right but please let a man be free from prison
