- DNA from a 9/11 victim helped New York police identity a woman killed in 1969 that had become a cold case. The remains of the woman, known as "Midtown Jane Doe," were found buried in a basement in 2003. WNBC's Marc Santia reports.

A 16 yr old child murdered, and buried under a peep show building..buried with a plastic toy that may have belonged to HER child....what a sad and torturous existence she must have led, what a tragic ending.
Rest in Peace Patricia Kathleen McGlone 🦋💙🌹
I hope ALL those involved in her ending are brought to justice
Goodness, just make things up why don't you.
@@billyyank5807- What?? Not made up, this was all on this news report.
@@billyyank5807 were the words, pictures and dialogue too hard for you?
Peep show? Where did you get that? It was a music club when she went missing
@@user-pn9db8sm5w It was a rock and roll music club, fool! Why don't you listen and understand before opening your cake hole!
Clearly the club owner was somehow involved. No one wraps a dead girl in carpet and buries her in cement in a club without the owner being at least aware of what's going on.
Yea, I’m thinking she must’ve been killed in the actual club because she was hidden without anyone noticing
Clearly the club owner did it? That’s quite a leap.
@@Christophertracy09 The rug had a plastic toy from her kid. That means the rug was in her home. She could've been killed there, wrapped in the rug, and moved to the basement of the bar. The owner might not have known. It could've been an employee working at the bar. Let the detectives do their job and keep speculation to a minimum.
@@kimberleelamb3261 How so?
So glad you’re not a policeman or prosecutor. What a leap. You know how many people work on a construction site and have keys or access to a building zone? Oh my stars you’re a deadset goose.
I wish this report would have looked into whether her parents ever reported her missing or not….now that they have a name.
It was from 1969. Is that relevant?
@@billyyank5807 well, sometimes, if the parents don't report a child missing, it means that the parents did the killing. But being that she was found in a nightclub, I imagine that it was probably a SA and murder at the hands of a club promoter/bouncer/musician.
@@billyyank5807 - It would help explain how long she was missing before she was killed.
Yes I would like to know that too, because I was expecting to see some happy family members and childhood pictures
they are probably dead.... she was 16 in 1969... even if her parents were 35, they would be around 90+... so slim chance to find them alive !!
This is when I love technology when all these years later, there is a face, a name, a life lived, so much more than a news story.Mighty fine work officers. Poor darling. I hope the remaining family members can give her the service and proper burial she deserves. 🕊
I was going to ask, under this video, when are they going to identify the Sumter County John and Jane Doe? Looked it up, three years ago! A campground worker claimed to have talked to them, and they were from Canada. Well, "John" was lying, or the worker mistook them for another couple, or the worker was lying. They were from Pennsylvania and Colorado. Family reported them missing. Lot of effort wasted toward Canada.
It's unfortunately only a reconstruction of how she might've looked like. :(
I read new info which said that Patricia married a much older man in his 30's in 1969. His name is Donald Grant and he is suspected to have ties to the building where Patricia was found. Though I've heard rumors online that the couple actually lived in that building. I've always wanted to see this case solved and now I'm happy it did. RIP Patricia formerly "P McG".
ya it was def the guy who did it then insane
until someone is convicted the case has not been "solved".
Finding out the identify of a murdered person is not solving a case.
ah no sympathy then. these girls know what they are getting into when dating/marrying an older man. especially as a minor.
that is what happens when you marry an older man as a minor. she got her comeuppance.
@@OsirusIrdia so it's her fault she got groomed by a grown man? and it's her fault she got murdered? you sound slow.
She had a ring on that had her initials. Was she not reported missing? Who doesn’t report a missing 16 year old girl?!?
As someone mentioned, it was the 60s, so police probably would have not taken a missing child case as a serious case, instead dismissing them as runaways or troubled youth. Missing children cases weren't taken seriously until the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was established in 1984 - nearly 2 decades later.

May Patricia rest in peace and hopefully get justice. That poor family had a lot of tragedy. Very sad.
One article says that her husband was connected to the building. She was estranged from her family in 1968. There was no missing person report filed by the husband.
This was my first thought...maybe the older husband had something to do with it?
The club closed in 1969, and someone with access to the club itself post-closure could have added a little more concrete to the floor, with nobody the wiser.
@@munequa81yeah it sounds very suspicious to me.
Married at 16? That’s actually pathetically sad
@@the8419 Well it was 1969. Also she was catholic so maybe she got pregnant, and felt she had to marry the father of her child hence the estrangement from her family.
Poor kid. That had to be terrifying for her.

it could also have been a construction worker. If the building was say temporarily shut down for renovations that is one way. If that is the case then there had to have been a permit issued by the city from thier they can find the company that did the work and check state tax records for employees who worked on the project at the time.
@@Lupinthe3rd. valid point
Could have been anyone from an owner to a cleaner, maintenance person to a contractor, bar staff to an electrician.
Without being able to narrow down a time frame for when this happened it could have been literally anyone, and it could have been more than one. They could have had renovations going on and the perpetrator worked there for a week. It could have been a security guard with keys on a Sunday. It could have been a hippy living in the basement with permission from the long-dead owner.
As usually happens in cases like this among the "true crime community" people invent their own narratives and spiral out into all kinds of assumptions based on their own biases. Facts matter, but even the cop being interviewed has invented a completely bizarre narrative of her having a child apparently based on nothing but the presence of a toy soldier, when that could have come from literally anywhere and could have been put there for any number of reasons.
The killer could have been in his 20s or 30s in 1969. 75-85 years if alive today.

The parents have some explaining to do, but they are likely deceased. Maybe the pregnancy happened while she was still living in the home and she was sent away. Maybe she was a runaway, and the parents lost track of her after a couple of years. There may be someone in her 50's who may be the child that this child gave birth to.

Steve Paul's the Scene was an Epic Rock and Roll hang out. Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and so many others all hung out there after shows and jammed. So happy to hear about the identification. I remember first hearing about it back in 2006 when it aired on “America’s Most Wanted”.
