Part 8: • BG Knocc Out on Snoop ...
Part 1: • BG Knocc Out Didn't Be...
    --------
In this clip, BG Knocc Out reacted to Kanye and Game sampling Eazy-E on their collaborative track “Easy,” and BG Knocc Out stated that he thought the song was “hard.” He added that more artists need to appreciate Eazy-E for being a pioneer, and BG Knocc Out went on to state that Kanye and Game did it in a “tasteful” way. From there, BG Knocc Out reacted to Eazy-E being on the “Top 50 Worst Rappers” list, and BG stated that he thought the list was disrespectful. Vlad went on to speak about Eazy-E’s popularity and influence, and both Vlad and BG admitted that Eazy was the most entertaining member of N.W.A.

I look at Eazy-E as more of a pioneer and a significant contributor to hip hop more than I view him in a recording artist context. My love and respect for him is largely based upon that. I am a staunch supporter of 80’s and 90’s West Coast hip-hop, especially in Los Angeles where I am from. I say this because I can understand people disregarding Eazy-E as a rapper. As a rapper, Eazy-E was not particularly gifted or masterful in the art of rapping itself. I don’t think that Eazy-E himself would refute that if he were still alive today.
At the same time, I do not blame Eazy-E for this, Eazy NEVER had intentions of being a recording artist, he was pressured by Dr. Dre into being one and reluctantly agreed. Eazy-E never claimed to be the most skillful rapper or that he had aspirations of being viewed as such. Eazy-E was publicly honest about the fact that he did not write his own lyrics. Eazy-E was a businessman and rap was largely a vessel to open up more doors for him.
He does not get the appreciation and credit that he deserves for being so influential and instrumental. He financed N.W.A. and from the N.W.A. family tree came so many other household names. In that sense, his importance can’t be denied but as far as actual rapping ability and delivery? I get it, he was not a specialist but again, that is okay, he was never meant to be and his legacy went far beyond his rapping ability.

For me, I feel Eazy-E is somewhat flawed unconventional, raw but unique at the same time. Which makes him one of the greatest also make him one of my favorite hip hop artist of all time. Like for an old car doors. The moment when you open and close, it makes that distinctive sound that put smile on peoples faces. That trademark. The sound that cant never be duplicated and propbably will not be heard forever. Thats how is Eazy in my opinion. He deserve more love and respect.

Y’all gotta understand Eazy was a businessman first, he saw it as a hustle which it was. Cube and Dre were the ones who gave him the beats and the lyrics to make him the star. He had the unique voice to do it. NWA released an album before Straight outta Compton and most of the songs got rereleased when they got with priority. Worse rapper, no but he had two geniuses behind the pen and the boards

To be honest I'm one of the few West Coast dudes who really fuck with New York-style rap music.
Generally the only East Coast artists Californians fuck with is Biggie, Jay Z, 50 Cent, DMX, Ja Rule and Dipset.
Outside of them, New York rap gets no play in California.
To me that shit is bazaar af because 70-75% of all my personal favorite rap artists and songs are East Coast.
Despite the fact I'm from California, born & raised in Southern California, I prefer Biggie over Pac.
In a rap battle between East and West Coast artists I know New York is smashin L.A and I'm from Los Angeles.
I'm personally not a Eazy E fan in terms of music even though I relate to his music more than an artist from Brooklyn I actually rather listen to a Brooklyn artist.

Plain and simple. Eazy-E was NOT a lyricist. He had major charisma, then he the signature Jheri Curls with the Compton hat and dark aviators, he did most of NWA interviews so of course people gravitated towards him. He wasn't the worst rapper. He didn't know how to "Deliver" his raps and punch lines all the time in my opinion, some songs he did, most he didn't but he had the voice and charisma for the mic and it was the 80's/early 90's on so he aight with me.
