Working for someone else to put food on the table is better than stealing or robbing a bank but what can we leave for our kids that will guarantee their future in the world? Dam is 100% wrong. Envy is right. Not everyone has the opportunity to work for themselves because they have to go out work for somebody. Unless you're born into money and you want to start your own business, that's different. But if you're coming from nothing, you'll have to work for a boss. It's called doing what you have to do. It's not an excuse, it's a fact. It doesn't mean that person is being complacent either. You have to work for it. If a film maker wanted to own their studio and make their own movies, that individual has to prove themselves first. So by the time they've made it, other directors and studios will reach out to him or her asking "Can I collaborate with you?" How do you think Tyler Perry got to where he is now? This man owns his studio and has other studios asking him can they use his space to shoot movies. And it took him years to do so. I'd rather earn my way.

Well like he said it's a difference of mentality. It's about relying on yourself and then passing on what u built so you're kids are set. Most people's kids will still have to work after all the hard work they did. He's saying work hard so your children won't have to. Most people work hard just so their kids can still work hard.

If everyone adopted that mindset, he would be very upset when his family and friends need medical attention and there are no healthcare professionals to take care of their health needs because everyone chose entrepreneurialism over essential careers like physicians, nurses, and patient care technicians.

Yea he kept changing his words to "consignment.". If you are working on consignment you are 100% working for another person because they can take that consigned item from you at any time and then you have nothing. Changing your words to fit your narrative doesn't make it factual😂
@@datboyawal-le6vsthat’s not what it means. They gave him consignment to sell their product but when he sells what he sells he keeps % of the profit; it’s like if I own a bmw and I consign you to find someone to sell it. It’s close to a partnership in a way because the person needs Dame to sell it.
That’s why he said the next phase at Def Jam was partnership. Partnership is not the same as a boss either. Words matter. It’s called nuance.
