- The Brother A-Series machines begin with the A16 and progress to the A150. This helpful run through of the basic features applies to them all except you get more stitches on the higher models.
I bought my wife the Brother A16 sewing machine, which she is delighted with, and says that the video is excellent, giving step by step instructions, and a great help in understanding how everything works.

The thread that's on top, on the right side of the fabric, at the start and end of the stitch, how do we get rid of that? Do we have to manually bring that thread down to the under side using a needle?

Is really a good machine is just the price a bit much.
