@@LondonViewpoints no worries Michael. It's a big shame there are so much reflections 🤷🙈🙁 by the way you showed and explained in your video the viewing gallery is useless for photography.
My wife and I visited London late in 2022 and again in August 2023 and visited the Sky Garden both times. We are going to London again in August so I hope to book ticket for here. Greart views certainly .. just hope i rember to look on the website in a few weeks .. currently, they are only offering bookings up until June.. BTW .. great photography tips ! Where did you buy that lens 'cover'
Yes be on the “lookout” (sorry for the pun😂just had to) for the tickets as they go fast, and the Lenskirt as that’s what’s it called is available in many countries, I think one shop has it in UK though, but B&H has it too
At least it doesn’t cost anything but your time 👍🏻 worth a go for sure, next time I’ll pop up there, I’ll check if they oppose window suction mounts for cameras, that’d be one of at to try to timelapse there
Cheers Michael, it’s Sean in Atlanta. Lens skirt? I have never heard of that but I have never tried to take images from a high rise. You could not have picked a prettier day to visit this new building! The clouds are exceptional and the view is just amazing. I’m curious, which do you prefer, the Shard or this building? I have visited the Shard on my last trip to London in November of 2019 and I thought it was amazing! I did not know that the upper floor was open to the elements, and I thought, “how odd that they have the air-conditioning on in November“! Of course, it was just cold… Thanks for a most interesting video. Your kids are growing up! Sean
Hi Sean, thanks, yes kids are growing up for sure, I do prefer the view from the Shard still, despite the price but photos/videos/timelapses just work out better, more usable from the open to the elements upper floor at the Shard due to single glass panel only up there, easier to avoid reflections with the Lenskirt(despite their security not liking people using it) and just generally it has a better view, better composition of London’s icons imho. All the best 👍🏻
While it boasts an impressive cluster now, the City of London is still fairly dead after 7pm, and feels somewhat more like east than west London. It would still benefit from more convenience stores, restaurants, entertainment, etc, to draw people in.
@LondonViewpoints I'm just reminded of Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul, where the business and entertainment (and let's face it red light) districts all blur together much more.
OMG Kids grown up my word that long why have all of a sudden you got Camera Shy Olivia don't get that me lol Michael More Vlogs please come on keep them coming take care gang till next time my best David
Thanks a lot David, oh you know why, just been busy, life, work etc, all came at a priority to YT 🤷♂️but (and I do keep saying that) I always want to do more and have more time for editing vlogs, your support and worlds of encouragement are much appreciated
This is one of the best free viewing galleries to look out on all the other free viewing galleries.
It’s great, but I still prefer ones without windows, even if they’re lower

Great views indeed, I'll definitely book a ticket. Thanks for sharing Michael 💯👍📸
Thanks a lot Frank😀

@@LondonViewpoints can't wait. 😃
Great content, do you only have 30 mins to stay or can you stay until, you’re ready to leave
Don’t know what the official terms say but it seemed you can stay how long you want
What a views 😍🙌🏻
Defo a good view up there 👍🏻
Really need to visit myself, although the glass will be the challenge!

What a view!! Awesome insight video Michael! What about using a suction cup instead of the tripod? Would they allow it?
Thanks Mattia, indeed suction mount will be what I’ll try to take there next time I go, can’t say if it’ll be allowed or not until then 🤷♂️

Thanks! It’s great to have a new video! I’m looking forward to another time lapse but in your good time. I hope your business continues to grow.
Sean
I would recommend investing in a circular polarizing filter to remove the reflections.
These are not the kind of reflections a circular polariser will fix😉
Hey Mike, Love this! Can't you use the roof as a tripod to shoot timelapse?
Hey Carlton, glad to hear but a little confused by what you mean when you say roof as a tripod ?
use the floor*@@LondonViewpoints
Awesome vlog 🙌🙌
Thanks👍🏻
@@LondonViewpoints 😎😁🫶 hope Yr good
By the way, do polarising filters work against the reflections?
No, they’d make things even weirer
Free and the shard charges a lot
Yes that’s true but I think for best photo results Shard is better

I wouldn’t say dead but certainly quieter for sure, but there’s plenty of bars and restaurants nearby in Shoreditch, Old St, Brick Lane etc

Your lad has grown a tash!
Haha yes he did, he’s a lad alright
Went up today. The views are really spectacular. The reflections were nowhere near as bad as the narrator kept moaning about.
Glad to hear, i mean im a perfectionist 😜and also all depends on the weather, sun strength and angle of your shooting
