As a Knicks fan, TJ McConnell is going to be the x-factor for the Pacers. That guy never quits and is a pain to play against.
He's basically a slightly worse Payton Pritchard that doesn't have a 3. These type of players are super annoying to watch when they scam offensive rebounds.

@@Giovanni30DSR One of the wins was the day of the OG trade so we had to use Fournier that game who had been relegated to the bench for a full year. There was no Quickley, RJ, Or OG. The second game Pacers won had no OG, No Robinson and iHart was on a minutes restriction. Halliburton was also on a restriction the game we won and Hield was also still there. No one should pay attention to any of those games. Pacers beat a depleted Bucks team and Knicks are now down Randle and Bogdonavich. But we still have Precious, Burks, and Milton if we need them. We rebound and defend better and Halliburton is having back issues. Gonna be a strange series

Pacers caught us on some good days this season. I think the first time they beat the Knicks, the Knicks had JUST traded for OG so we were missing RJ, Quickley, OG, Precious, and Mitch.
The second time the Pacers beat the Knicks the Knicks didn’t have OG, Randle, Mitch, Hartenstein.
It should be an interesting series.

@@PanthroTek Pacers also have one of the best half court offenses in the NBA. Also, one of the best 3rd Q scoring teams this year, which means they do well at halftime adjustments.

Not taking anything for granted, but NYK should win this. Indy can get hot but can only win one way. Including the playoffs they’re 6-24 in games where they score
I think it'll be Nembhard on Brunson to start, hes our best. on ball defender by far. If Brunson just really punishes Nembhard's lack of length, then Nesmith will help onto Brunson. But g1 first minute i expect Nemby on JB.

Knicks in 6 and it won't be easy, especially if they play TJ and Obi a lot of minutes. 7 games is not out of the realm of possibility either.
I’m a pacers fan I have the Knicks in 6. I do believe the pacers take game 1 though the Knicks might come out a little flat and tired after that hard fought series against the 76ers. But I think the Knicks rebounding and physical defense gets to us throughout the series and the Knicks will win in my opinion.

Knicks had bad transition defense until they did not. Last third of the season it was cleaned up for good. Og in, rj/julius out has a lot to do with it.
I love your stuff. You’re amazing but you built so much around Nesmith guarding Brunson. That ain’t happening. Nembhard will guard Brunson. They need Nesmith on Hart to try and keep him off the boards

Pacers in 6 are bench is way better the Pacers will wear them down because of our play style and the Knicks only play 7 players the whole game. The x factor will be our bench the Knicks don't have one our fast pace will wear down the starters and the Pacers will see Boston next round.
Haliburton probably is the best passer in the east, its gonna be about letting Haliburton score and funneling him to be a jump shoother. OG will be interesting cause he can gaurd everyone one of pacers starting 5. If we get any precious minutes to help chase around their shooters we have a great chance

first year playoff teams like pacers; with playing pace and great guard mostly be better at second round after taking care good first round matchup. but bucks was not complete so all thing first as fundamentals and dynimics of series ; i think we ll see better indiana mentally. like i m not expecting breakdown like bucks game 5 .

I believe Andrew Nembhard will cover Brunson. Andrew is better at covering quicker slippery players. Aaron Nesmith will cover bigger stronger players.

Pacers don’t play defense and they have no answer for Brunson. While Knicks have Og and good perimeter defenders for Siakam and Hali.

@@ChrisTookFlight Pacer's were top 10 in defense the last 2 months of the season. Pacers will be pressing 40 minutes of the game. If Knicks can handle the pressure, they will be good. Pacer's also have a lot of bigs coming off the bench that help with rebounding. Will be in exciting series.

I WILL say this: the lazy take is that the Pacers don't defend. They do, but you're not defending if you're looking for a chance to get in transition. When they decide to defend, they can be a problem.

I think its a bad matchup but in the opposite way, I just don't think the Knicks have the horses to keep up scoring wise. The Pacers won the series with the Bucks / 76er / Knicks for a reason even if the teams were different personnel. If the Pacers rebound I think this is a Pacers in 6 series.

@@cleanfresh6718 Its a good thing they are going to need those offensive rebounds to keep up. Even being the best rebounding team they score considerably lower per game then the Pacers. So far this season the Knicks haven't slowed the Pacers down and not sure OG changes that too much.

Pascal is extremely overrated. He's nowhere near a Max player. I'd much rather have Obi/Smith and had OG. Then to not have a single SF. Then trade Heild for nothing and Mathurin gets injured. So Pacers are basically playing without a real SF at all, or any real SG's. The best thing they could do.. Which I've been saying all dang season.. One of Myles, or Pascal needs to sit. Then start Obi Toppin. It gives them back their speed. Opens up the floor more for Tyrese and Nesmith to get shots. Allows the little bit of guards we have to be better.. and Obi has been much better on the glass and Defense. While his all around Offense has been good too.. But instead they play Pascal for 42 mins and play Obi 17 to 20. Yet he puts up better numbers still. Even though he's playing with the second unit. Who doesn't even help his game as much. Pacers need to be very creative with the sets of player's they run.. Because we've lost all the depth and little SF (literally, Bruce) that we had.. Then get no SF in place of him and no SG in place of Buddy. We didn't sign a Derrick Jones Jr., or a Kelly Oubre Jr. Someone like that could have helped us immensely. We have picked guy's with the rest of our picks after our first that have literally had me scratching my head at time's. Sheppard and Nembhard are cool. But the rest, we should have made a move to get a SF. I'd made a move on a SF, over both those guy's if I could have traded up. Pascal was not the move we needed.. but they lost the trade. Who know's if it was due to not involving Nembhard, more picks or what.. I'd definitely gave them him and preferably Jackson with more picks. Reluctantly Smith, if he's not in our future plans.. but maybe it simply wasn't enough. However, Pascal's inability to hit consistently, or play better than good D. Isn't enough for me to even care about a trade.. Knowing he want's a Max lol. Because he's not worth me throwing away our future and developing the young PF's we have already. Or the chance at signing some good Wings. He's not a Star player, so why the money??Which is what I'm worried about. Them blowing too much on a guy that is only slippin. It makes no sense. He was a really good 3rd best player in 2019. But he's nowhere near that guy anymore. That could play some SF. If anything he's a better C now. The only thing that would help. Is if they get him on a fair contract. They realize his play for what it is. Practically split the minutes much more fairly in Obi's favor. Get a real SF, play Walker at SF/PF. Then sign another SG/SF, or a SF/PF, PF/SF whatever.. However you have to, get some size.. But he needs to have foot speed and be able to defend. While still being able to shoot and get to the rim. Then get rid of Jackson and get a guy like a Heartinstein, or an Andre Drummond type. Someone that can come in. Give us a different look, or simply more effort on the glass if need be. A body to help throw at some of the bigger C's at time's would be cool. We have to restore our depth and not waste our cap. Especially by giving too much based on what a player thinks they're worth. As apposed to what they're really worth.. If it's too much, then kick rocks. I'd rather have depth. That's what had us playing great basketball and the #1 Offense to begin with. All we need is to fill the right holes. At the wing, with real true Defenders. Who can guard multiple positions. Then get one that does the same at the SG/SF. Suddenly we improve a ton. Without sacrificing our Offense and style of play for a Pascal..
