Off the bat, Tony saying associates and not employees is really sticking out to me. 👍
Then ur brainwashed
Excellent advice here, I would love to see how you sharpen your serrated blades! I think it's awesome to see an owner of a company take time out of his day to share his knowledge with his customer base.
As a Firefighter, I rely on my knife to perform every single time. From cutting seatbelts and flattening tires during auto accident extrications, to opening up sheetrock and walls during a structure fire overhaul, I need my knife to open, cut, and close EVERY SINGLE TIME. Often, I can only do this one handed, and my Microtech performs flawlessly. Firefighters are known to tear apart anything in their path to complete the job. This knife makes that possible, EVERY SINGLE TIME. These knives simply won’t fail you when you need it most. I have complete faith that I can rely on this knife to help me save lives. PERIOD! I can’t think of a clearer way to say - you can trust these knives like no other. We are very hard on our tools, because every second counts in a rescue. I trust the engineering and materials used to build these tools. This knife is a tool, that works flawlessly, and still looks beautiful and perfect in its design. If you’ve been on the fence about purchasing one, rest assured that you will never regret buying a Microtech. I don’t believe there is a better EDC knife out there… at any price.
I’m the same way, one handed operation SAFELY!
My only addition is the glass breaker.
How many times have you seen an officer wailing away with their collapsible baton on a car window?
And as we both know with the modern car windows, you wind up in the water being able to get out of that car quickly can be a serious problem.
Firefighters can’t have beards

Thank you for the fantastic explanation on how you sharpen your knives. It is definitely an art to the science of sharpening them.
Hard call on a favorite. Probably the SOCOM Elite, but I also really love my Scarab II.
Great info! I Love my Microtech Socom Manual, Best Knife for everyday use, hands down in my book🤙
You guys make some wicked stuff! Appreciate the insight into how you guys do what you do.
Great to hear you touch on edge geometry so much, love getting to learn more about the thought process and procedures you have in place.
Just bought my first Microtech, a UTX-85. I can already tell I’ll be building a collection. Super impressed with these knives, and especially after seeing videos of the production process and factory tours, it’s very apparent that they’re worth the money.
I carry a 85 everyday the size is perfect.
Same here. I bought an 85 with the hellhound blade for edc and I'm itching to replace it with a combat troodon.
I’ve got an ultratech coming this week, I held one of my friends recently and was obsessed with the action
@@goodinsrt8 I have one and it's great but get ready for a thumb workout til you get used to it lol
@hampstershat123 you're not kidding, I got my hands on one, and it's a hard pass for me.
I always appreciate a look into the manufacturing environment. Makes me feel better about the companies I support when I can see the time and effort put into the products.*Forgot to add my favorite knife, SOCOM Elite Manual!
What an amazing process! Thanks so much for the time you take to explain your passion. It’s just awesome.
Such a pleasure to see how the care and hand work go into the Micotech blades. Free hand is amazing. I always thought it was with an angle block. Keep up the great work to all the folks at Microtech
Microtech Ultratech for Everdaycarry. Perfect size to be in my pocket, sheath, pouch or bag. Small enough to be carried but big enough to be useful.
Truly amazing to see a master in his craft! It's literally second nature to him when he's behind the grind wheel. Learned so much from this video alone!
Isn't second nature idiomatic ?
That one guy ,he must be a lightning fan
The Scarab 2 is by far my favorite ! Thanks for the mini-tour of the sharpening room, it was a delight.
Love to see a amazing family owned and operated company show there process and be transparent about it
keep it up you guys are the best!
Love seeing a owner of a well know brand still working on his products and taking pride in what he has built. Stay Humble Sir.
He might be good in the morning but he is best at the end of the day 💪 heroic stuff honestly, sharing things like this is so valuable and we admire the heck out of tony for doing it!
Thank you Tony for showing all of us how to correctly apply a razor sharp edge. Also thank you Ray for making this video available for all. Please come up with a great way to get that amazing knife.
I’ve got to say that I’m hooked. Bought my first Ultratech a couple of months ago and was amazed at the craftsmanship and solid design. It’s been a part of my EDC ever since.
As an aspiring sharpener that has been maintaining his own blades for many years, it is amazing to watch one of your artistic heroes take an unsharpened edge to hair-popping in under 5 minutes! Thanks for this treat!
Microtech stitch for sureeeee. Tough as nails I’m every situation
It needs a glassbreaker I found out, i wish it did have one critical scenario i was involved in. 😔
Love yalls knives I'm a first responder and I carry a microtech everyday. There's nothing like the snap when you deploy the blade. Keep up the good work.
Amazing to see what you can accomplish with some blood, sweat and tears. Well done!! The Stitch has been one of my most used and definitely my favorite knife to date.
It’s great to see the owner of Microtech on the wheel, makes me feel good about purchasing knives from a company that stands by their customers. Thanks for the awesome video!
Though it’s been around for a while, the Ultratech is the most evolved knife in the lineup. Reliable enough to trust your life with, the perfect size to fit in my MOLLE gear or pocket, classy clean lines. Oh, and the sound it makes gives one a smile and a chub simultaneously.
I just bought a ultratech yesterday and I have love everything second of it cant wait to add more of your knifes to the collection
Awesome video & fantastic company! It’s great to see the care and precision that goes into each knife!
Mircrotech Combat Troodon with the hellhound blade for sure , overbuilt knife and insane blade design
hellhound blade is useless and mall ninja af
@@ilikeknafs9563war hounds are actually nice lol Warren cliff micro tech is awesome
Thank you for your help, i needed this lol. Been sharpening my knives for a long time, still getting the hang of it.
Ultratech for sure
Great balance of size, price and functionality
Great brand made right in my hometown
Love your knives! Just got a stitch recently and it kicks like a mule and all my Microtechs feel like they're built like tanks. It's hard to choose a favorite but my violet single edge combat troodon definitely gets the most pocket time.
I love the sharpie technique! Been doing it for years on a grinding wheel. Its the best way to tell if your removing something equally.
It's really hard to pick a favorite when they make so many amazing knives. I do love my DLC HALO VI and my Troodon T/E is always my EDC. Thanks Anthony for a chance to own this ultratech!
I worked here for some time and it was a very cool experience. Tony is an awesome guy and has built a great company.
Microtech has me hooked for sure. I just bought my first one a month ago, the troodon tactical. I love it! The craftsmenship is excellent. I will be buying more in the future
I recently got the Bounty Hunter Exocet knife for my birthday and I absolutely love it. The detail in the blade and handle is beautiful. I am personally even more impressed after learning more about this business’s roots in this video.
It's amazing to see those blades come to life and become wicked sharp yall are awesome 👍🏼
I'm new to all this. I never even heard of MT two weeks ago but just got a very nice guardian yesterday and will definitely be buying some of these. The difference in quality between the knives I used to carry and these is eye opening and inspiring in my own work. It was nice to see the owner himself at work and explaining things for us. I can't say how good it is to see a good craftsman excel at his craft and succeed. What a great story. Thank you. Subbed.
Tony is a legend in the knife business. still sharpening blades by hand unreal.
I've been hand sharpening since I was 12 years old and I never miss an opportunity to learn from a master in their field. Now that I know the care you put into your brand I will be buying my first of many Microtech knives.
Man what a absolutely amazing Quality Assurance steps taken! I own the Stitch and would be honored to give this blade a home!! Thanks Tony and Microtech!!
It's amazing watching that rock steady freehand. I can't wait to win this Microtech, it's definitely got a spot in my EDC rotation
So awesome to watch a legend do what he does best!
Microtech changed the way I looked at a knife
Love my Ultratech. I upgraded from a couple of the HK's that were actually made by Benchmade. The design of the Ultratech is slim and yet it has a lot of positive features. Great video!
The commentary along with the process from the owner was an excellent learning experience. Big thanks to Microtech!
Best sharpener I've seen so far. Thanks for these videos. It helps me in my own shapening
Big fan!
Thanks for the video. Awesome to see the behind the scenes and a legend sharpening blades. Great stuff!!!
Just got in to Microtech’s this past year and I’m already addicted and working hard to build my collection!
Excellent demonstration by a master craftsman and artist. Thanks for lessons!
If there wasn’t Tony there wouldn’t be all these cool knives.. learned a lot from this video!
good to see someone grow the company while keeping the craftsmanship as an integral factor in their products. Many manufacturers lose sight of that. Thank you for bringing back craftsmanship to US-made products.
I've owned multiple microtechs (at least a dozen) and they all have been perfect in every way. Thank you microtech!
I have known Tony since the wife was his girl friend and I came to see him at a small warehouse in Vero Beach FL. I have at least 10 MT's of all types including a mini LUDT, a splash LUDT and a filet knife. I worked for S&W and had a few socoms made for my old SWAT team with their names and badge #. I have a socom elite #277 that has been my constant go-to since 2000 and it has aged gracefully like myself. Great to see he is still very much still hands on.
These are top quality, beautiful pieces of art that this company puts out and I am blessed to own two of, so far. I'm sure I'll be buying more in the near future.
Great video! Awesome seeing that master technique. Tony makes it look so easy! wish I could sharpen like that .
I realize this is an older video. It's been very informative! I've waited for years and finally came to the point that I'm going to buy nice stuff. I had always wanted a utx-70. Not a big knife, and not super expensive, but it does cost a couple dollars. I'm at the range the other day and who it out to trim a cigar. Here I am styling with my new orange s/e. I've been using and sharpening knives for years. The knife BARELY could cut the cigar and damaged the cigar. I was sawing and getting no where. Disappointed, I remember at the fun shows, and the microtechs were razor sharp! I may have to send it back in for some factory love.
Ever since I got my Ultratech I haven't carried another knife. Superb quality, easy to carry, and just phenomenal ergos. Hands down my favorite knife out of the ones I own!
Wonderful knives, excellent edge sharpness! Thank You for your time and explanation, a true pleasure!
Great video!! Love Microtech quality.
I absolutely love your knives, you can't beat the quality and precision that you guys put into each and every one of your knives and you are a company who makes me proud with not only making ( in my humble opinion 😜) the highest quality products right here at home in the best country in the whole world , the United States of America!!! Sincerely you guys make me proud to say that your knives are American made . If you couldn't tell I do carry your Microtech Ultratech from the 2018 knife show and it's showing it's age a little bit but it's received some loving care and maintenance and is still working beautiful!
My Microtech ultratech is the best EDC I’ve ever owned. Will cut through anything and still fire like the first time I picked it up. Glad you guys exist!
Currently carrying my blue and black Delta Dirac... luv it !!! Thanks Mr. Marfione...😎👌
Love the video guys, My favorite Microtech so far is the Ultratech double edge I got from the blade show in June ,but I would love to get my hands on any other knifes y’all make they are just absolutely beautiful an well made thank y’all for that !!!🔥
Great to see how it's done from the man himself. I daily carry a UTX-85 and have a few other Microtechs; definitely my favorite knives to carry and use. Would love to match my Jade top 85 with this UT.
I have 5 microtechs, all of them are awesome but my favorite is my troodon. It is slightly contoured, and just feels better in my hand. Will continue to add to my collection for sure.
Every year I see my brother at Christmas I mess around with his Ultratech and am fascinated at the action each time. Never owned one but would sure love to.
so Bad Ass! I love seeing these "behind the scenes" videos with Tony talking and showing how each and every knife is hand sharpened! makes me want to be apart of the team!
I’ve only ever owned the ultratech s/e and I have loved that bad boy ever since I got it, I use it everyday at work and it’s amazing. That sexy looking number 35 would be amazing hold in my hands. Also great video on showing how y’all sharpen y’all’s knives!
Enjoy your knives so much guys!! Thank you so much for the hard work you guys put in everyday. Would love a chance at that knife! You guys have a blessed day...
im impressed that your angels when you sharpen doesnt vary more than that.. incredible!!
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to show the great skills!
I've always loved the LUDT. It's so very clean and useful.
I absolutely love my Dirac. I'm amazed with how functional the knife is for EDC.
I’m glad he clarified about the sharpening at home and warranty aspect. Love my microtech knives.
Thanks for watching!
Microtech Knives are top quality, I own one now but I would love a OTF. Nice to see American craftsmanship that still alive and strong. Had to use my Socom Elite glass break on a truck window, older gentleman was passed out and not responsive and doors were locked Subscribed 👍
Absolutely hands down the microtech stitch!!!!perfect for every day carry!!!!aggressively beautiful yet reliable firing!!!
That is nice of you to show us how you work your magic on the edges. I am a big fan of the UTX 85.
Pretty cool to see a master at work thanks for the great videos guys keep it up !!!
Those knives at the Burris Team Challenge were very nice. Thanks for putting those on the table.
I've carried an LUDT for years now, the same one. The way it ages yet stays sharp and is able to serve me every day no matter what situation is incomparable to any other. I'll always carry this knife, it it the absolute best!
The Tachyon is my favorite Microtech offering. It's such a beautiful knife. Great video.
Advid Microtech Collector, and watching the Man himself at work was awesome. Thank you for the opportunity and please more Tony Marfione videos.
Great video! Can't beat these knives!
Got my first Utx-70 and love it! Keep up the great work 🔪
Wow, what a great video. Never really appreciated what is truly a unique skill set at hand sharpening knives...and probably explains why most of mine are blunt!!! :) Keep up the great work.
Wasn't sure how I'd like it at first but definitely fell in love with the Scarab 2. Now it's the one I carry most of the time
Wonderful to see the boss man doing what he does best! Your knives are the best!
I am new to Microtech, buying my first one this year. Very nice.. keep up the the great quality.
Favorite mt I’ve owned are my utx 85s. Very compact for carry but still a very serviceable size. The action is super smooth. I actually sliced a chunk off the side of my finger not paying attention with it. Didn’t even feel it go through until I looked down and saw the skin gone. That one is mine for life now lol
Best knives around. Been carrying my ultra tech now for about 4yrs and it never leaves my side.
I think this video will clear up confusion for folks. I know it did for me. It’s fun to watch Tony and the gang at their craft. Microtech is another great, American company.
Just ordered Microtech Ultratech Tanto all black. Cant wait to use it! You are the BEST guys!
Great video, I've never had great success in sharpening my knives so this is helpful information. 👍🏼 I love the Demascus Dirac Delta, there's no reason a knife can't be classy and intimidating at the same time. That and the iron man blade, such a gorgeous piece of steel. And the tactical beard comb, super fun piece for helping me keep my beard tamed. Keep up the great work guys!
Amazing company! Top of the line in products and service !! Love it
I really have to say, I like Tony. He’s my kind of guy. I have a half a dozen MT knives I’ve picked up over 20 years. I’ve read some posts over the years basically not saying nice things about this man. I never paid too much attention to those people, the same could be said about anyone. If someone doesn’t like you, you know how that goes. I’m proud to say I own these fine cutting tools. I continue to pick up MT pieces.
You guys make great knives. I enjoyed watching the process.
Microtech Ultratech D/E full serrated on one side! Beast of a knife. This is my first Microtech, and I’ve got to say, I’m very impressed with the quality of this knife! Im hooked on Microtech now! Definitely plan on getting me another one in the future.
The second knife is sweet with the double holes in middle. Love your knives. Have the Dirac Delta and the ultra tech Bounty. Love love love em.
I remember being about 14 or 15 seeing my first microtechs and always wanting one. I'm 31 now and finally ordered a utx 70 to replace my EDC Para3. I'm very excited! You guys kill it!
Didn’t the otf ultratech come out in 99
@@user-xx5zl8dz1v uhh sure? Not sure why that matters? I would have been 9?
