    I got this conversion kit for my XSR900 last year. Beautiful and functional bit of kit, the install took me a while but the instructions are on point though.
    Motodemic guys are a class outfit. Definitely recommended.

      Well i do.I like the round solo too though.
      The problem with the Triumph is that they stick out waaaaay too much.I rather have a conversion kit to make them not protrude that much.

    Hey, there are two cable connections (4pin) plugged into the old headlight. One for the right, one for the ledt side.
    The new headlight only supports one 4pin adapter. Do I put one by side?
    Also thanks fot the video, it really helps!

    • @motodemic

      You only need to use one of the connections. The other can be left unplugged. Feel free to wrap with electrical tape if you are exposed to a lit of water.

    Damn... I'm thinking I might do this to my 2011 ST. I keep thinking my bike looks a bit like a scooter or a Honda Ruckus from the front (dual, chrome rounds). It's a little pricey, but I gotta admit that the startup makes it look SO much more modern.

  • @NB-ir1me
    @NB-ir1me 8 месяцев назад

    Why do they need to be 1 3/4" from the bottom triple clamp? I've done this conversion on my 2014 speed triple and have the motodemic fly screen as well, the wind is just barely too low, and goes directly up my helmet. If I just so slightly tilt my head down it completely stops the buffeting at 70mph. My thought is if I raise the light another .5 inches (give or take) it would make a night and day difference on highway comfort. I have the classic flyscreen btw

    • @motodemic
      @motodemic  8 месяцев назад

      There are several factors to consider when dealing with wind, especially on a naked bike. Have you tested the wind with and without the screen or with the screen at different angles? It is definitely not a one setting/size fits all situation.
      To answer your question as to why the kit is located on the forks where it is - It has to do with the location of where the fork rings make contact with the fork tubes. The non-R model has long tapered sections on the tork tube, that is why we use shims. Our suggested installation height was to get the camps in the correct location on the taper for the diameter of the fork ring. You can move the brackets up as far as you can as long as the fork rings are still are still clamping. If you run out of clamping, then you would need thicker shims.

    looks good the only thing missing is a cover / weather protection for the instruments. If you look at the back of the dash there is potential for rain to get in also I would not trust the boot over the connector it is not up to the task if you are riding in heavy rain. my opinion it would be foolish & very expensive to ignore this.

    • @motodemic
      @motodemic  6 лет назад +1

      This is not an issue or all that different from the stock installation. The instrument panel itself is sealed so water is not going to get inside of it. The rubber boot provides a seal from water on at the connection (hence it being there). Not sure why you are thinking its not up to the task, many OEM's have their connections this way, some even uncovered. We wouldn't sell it like this if there was a potential for harm to other components. Rest assured that there are hundreds of these conversions all over the world and no issues to report.

    • @motodemic
      @motodemic  4 года назад

      The Evo S is cheaper because it isn’t Adaptive. The Evo S was made using components from the Adaptive but not the same electronics.

    • @AnIdiotOnTwoWheels
      @AnIdiotOnTwoWheels 4 года назад

      @@motodemic I'm sorry I still don't get it. If you've got "the latest in LED tech" on hand, why not put it in the adaptive light as well?

    • @motodemic
      @motodemic  4 года назад +3

      The Evo S is made for us by JW Speaker and the Adaptive is their own light. We don’t have control over what they use on that light. Since the Evo S came after the Adaptive we were able to use newer generation LED’s. The performance from both is stellar and unless you had both lights side by side, you would not know the difference. Besides, the fictional advantage the Adaptive has outweighs the slight difference in output so it is still the better light.

    Hello, could you make this (ruclips.net/video/7Dk7R2UgHaI/видео.html) happen for the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple R? The difference is that is a v-rod type headlight with that black housing enabling smooth lines with the bike as it's closer to the body/frame. Yours is great but the only problem is that it sticks out like stock headlights do. Like a turtle neck.

    • @NK-yv5oi

      That simple plastic red top/windscreen-ish attachment to the headlight makes it feel like the headlight is part of the bike/frame as that red plastic is attached to the frame bringing the LOOK of the headlight closer to the frame even though it's not.
