Any updates on these two options? The S10 is currently offered for $1000 and the S8 with the auto fill/drain dock is going for $1200. The sale ends on Dec 2nd and I am leaning towards the S8. Mainly because it seems to have a better vacuum, and a few other features like the camera, better edge cleaning. Also I am thinking if you set it to clean the pad frequently and turn on the dirty water detection, it will probably mop just a well if not better. I would think the base brush roller with hot water can clean the pad better than the self cleaning roller? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, sorry havent had much time do the video. But yes S8 maxv ultra is overall definitely the better option. The S10 does a good job mopping but poor overall with vacuum. It has constant issues docking to the water base but for a first attemp its definitely better than some others. S8 feature wise does not compare. Only advanced the s10 has is the roller mopping which does a better job cleaning and actually keeps the roller clean when its actually working.

Just so you know - this product has been a nightmare for me. somewhat worked for 2 months, failed, now I'm 14 weeks without a replacement.
Also their european warranty reads: "All products purchased from our official store come with a 2-year warranty, which is valid within one year from the date of receipt of item."
There's something very wrong with these guys, reddit is full of horror-stories...

@@lrrrruleroftheplanetomicro6881 Im sorry to hear that. What are they saying regarding your replacement?

@@TecYimBroke Loooong story. Told them my water-station was broken, took them 6 weeks to confirm.
Asked for advance replacement due to long wait time & cumbersome removal of accessories from plumbing and they said yes.
4 Weeks later I asked where my replacement was, they said I have to send broken one in first. I complained, they reiterated their stance.
Then I was rather angry, didn't write them for two weeks then said that I want full refund because they use us as beta testers, don't honor their agreements and the invoice I asked for doesn't contain VAT, which is rather illegal in europe (when shipping from inside europe)
      Haven't heard from them since.

@lrrrruleroftheplanetomicro6881 That is definitely a poor response. 6 weeks to determine whether it should be replaced. it's insane. As far as the replacement, most manufacturers usually require the device be sent in before replacement is sent. This is a bad part on the tech that told you they will send it even though company policy prevents this and they know better.
Curious what issue your having with water station. I encountered charging issue, and took it apart myself and found the poor had very poor connector saudering and it just separated 2 connectors from the boar. I resauder both myself and fixed my issue. Defined agree the robot needed more testing and fixes prior to release. Hopefully most can get ironed out through firmware and not actual hardware issues like one I encountered.

@@TecYimBroke Yeah, the charging issue describes my problem as well. It was only charging up to 20%, then 2%, and then nothing at all. Mine also started sitting in a fresh water puddle around the same time the battery issue occurred, so I suspected it had drowned itself.
Additionally, the filter in my water station is stuck and can't be opened. I'm not sure I can safely open the water station by removing the screws.
I also had numerous issues with the bot itself: it wouldn't respond to the app until rebooted, claimed the wastewater tank wasn't installed until rebooted, displayed many false entangled brush errors, left wastewater stains, couldn't empty debris from its container, and performed poorly with stains. In the two months it worked, it never successfully completed a scheduled cleaning.

@@TecYimBroke Finally got a response from them. They apologized for not honoring prior agreements and agreed on a full refund, I'm guessing, the sentence "I'm not gonna be complicit in your (Vat) tax evasion" rang some alarm bells. Didn't get their Vat id like I asked for, I'm thinking they have none.
Talked to the my local tax authorities today and they're interested, said they'll investigate after I send them Invoices and comms.
May I ask if you're European and if so, did you buy your unit?
