Explaining logic circuit stuff already might not be in your gameplan, but when setting up the coal belt to prioritize power, one way to mitigate having to fill a really long belt is a very simple logic circuit: Enable the coal belt to the furnaces only if the belt to the powerplant has enough coal. Another approach I tend to use is having my coal mining on its own grid, so factory brownouts don't cause a death spiral of slowing the coal mining. Enjoying the series so far!
51:34 - ooh, yes please to blueprint-making video! I mean, I'm quite familiar with it, but I'm guessing I'll still learn something about just a different way to do some thing or other that I'll still value, and I'm sure lots of less experienced players will learn A LOT from what you create. I look forward to it! And I know a video like that is a lot of work, so... thank you in advance. 💝
i was watching your Entry Level to Megabase 5 and dreaming of you doing a similar one with the Space Age DLC and a few days later you do!!! so happy!!! i started playing along now, very excited. thank you for the amazing content
52:53 - oops! I presume you'll catch this later, but just in case - that one green thingy made a red thingy not see what was the yellow thingy, before you made it a green thingy! 😂 (I.e. the penultimate engine machine is no longer able to pull from that line. Though you could swap inserters!)
P.S. And actually, re 53:04, you'd be able to get that easier thing of alternating pairs if you swap the inserters for all but the last assembler on the line! And then you can still have a green-gap undergroundy! (undergroundie? 🤔) Edit: oh, but that would lose the quad layout for the ones from 53:12... so that kinda sucks, but, I guess you could swap those, too, maybe? Or ... something.
I've just started a new game (not space age) and I cant work out how to import your blueprint framework book thingy, I cant enable blueprints in the menu it says I need construction robotics to be researched and that requires blue science?? I just want the very early game shopping mall? Can you (or anyone) please help?
Not my first play through, been playing since before 1.0 but first one in a while. A lot has changed. I’ve managed to get it working now not sure what I did, maybe mods but not sure. KoS has deleted the thing I wanted from the google drive but I’ve got the framework book now which is very helpful. I wanted the starter base that she is using in ep.1 but there’s obviously some problems with it, hence the deletion. Thanks for the reply.
KoS! There's a load of missing assembling machines in the Mall Boutiques BP, Not sure if this is because I'm not running space age or if they're just missing. Things like assembling machines 1 & 2 production and some others that seem to have inserters pointing at blank spaces.

The quick start BP is definitely in there. Not sure what happened with the assemblers. There seem to be issues with some users... but there is NOT supposed to be any missing assemblers. Not sure if it is a spsce age thing or not. The assemblers to make assemblers, etc. are just normal, though they have quality modules. However, the game should just remove the modules, not the whole machine. I will talk to the devs about it.
Unfortunately you cant copy/paste/blueprint until you have completed the game or just launched arocket(not sure which), might be worth a mention for all the new players watching, nice series by the way
Not at all. You can copy paste (ctrl+ c and v)from the beginning of the game to plan, but need bots to build it. Blueprints are unlocked with bots, which is just blue science... not the end of the game. Glad you are enjoying the game!
@@KatherineOfSky ever heard of paint by number or diamond paintings? The frameworks a very fun "paint the mall" edition. I'm learning more and more everytime I make the malls especially with the newer modular space age friendly pieces. Appreciating all the hard work!
Have you ever played the game where someone describes a shape and you have to draw it? It could be quite fun if you play with 2 steamers and you are the 'director' and don't get to use the controls, while the 2 'players' draw the base to your description.
So glad you're doing a solo series - missed consuming your content!
The duo series is hilarious!
Also the underground pipes are changed to underflowy :D
Wooo ... another episode!🦆🦆

Yay, another episode. I was (not so) patiently waiting for this
Ive been really ill for a while, so am hoping to get back to daily postings!

Hooray! good progress!
Thanks for the solo series, I hope you take this all the way to end game!
Oh definitely! This is going to be a fun run!

Woot.. Been waiting on this for a few days!! :)
Finally a new episode!
I mean I am scared of oil but not in the game. I do love the coop series, so I hope that continues as well. Great series, more please and thank you!
The duo series will definitely continue! We just havent had a chance to sync our schedules.
Ep. 2 Yay!
Me when KoS realized she forgot the thingy: "Oh no! Not the thingy!"🤣

if its your first ever playthrough you need to get to robots for the first time, at least it was that way for me recently
