I love these videos. They're like the old school angling programs I watched as a kid. Very calm, informative & with no aggressive selling. Sure angling programs have always been sponsored by companies hoping to sell you their products but in recent times marketing has got very aggressive, especially for carp gear, to the point where the fishing is an afterthought.
Phil seems to be a nice guy and top angler. I like his calm kind of explanation and presenting style. Hope to get some information implemented in my specimen fishing over here in Europe. Kind regard, Tobias
Thank you Mark, Chris the videographer did me proud especially as all the action happened after dark, plus the weather was horrible at times 🌧 Regards Phil,
Qaulity fishing I haven't beaten my pb bream of 14lb 11oz in 9 years I'll keep on trying 🤞🤞 onto the next adventure tightlines look forward to the next vid 🎣👊😎
Nice video. I fish bream every summer in the Stockholm city centre. I use worms as bait and the most breams weigh between 3- 6 lbs. I love to eat them. Greetings from Sweden
another great video phil...im targeting the bream on my local...biggest 7 so far but there are doubles in there ..the local carp anglers have had em to 12 +.....hope to see another specimen eel video soon the last one i realy enjoyed ..tight lines....
I treat my bream fishing similar to my carp fishing! I find the smaller ones quite uninteresting, but the really Big ones are special fish to me. Regards Phil,
Great topic, great video. Finding waters holding bream of this size, is becoming increasingly difficult, due to the obsession with carp fishing. Also most of the waters holding big slabs are either syndicate or private club waters.
Absolutely brilliant video Phil, With some fantastic bream, well done for waiting for your reward with some stunning fish, Thank you, and yes i will be going there again very soon to try and get some like them, Thank you again Phil and AD TV for shearing the video,
Hi Phil. What lake is this please. Is it day ticket? My 2 mates and I are all retired now and due another trip to Norfolk 😆😆 last trips were to Blickling (average around 4-5lb) so be nice to have a few bigger ones. Usually stay at Hevingham. 😃👍 Cheers John
Always enjoy watching your vids, excellently filmed and well explained Just a bit of advice on bait boats if you could, I am looking to buy one, I will use it for the summer months and also want it to double up as a way of getting deadbeats out, which is the best boat to do this, I will be using joey mackerel, medium size herrings etc Thanks
Hello Neal, Glad you enjoyed the video. I'm a big fan of bait boats on large waters when pike fishing. They allow me to place big dead baits accurately in deep gullies, drop offs etc... The boat I used in this video is a mega piece of kit. Although my go to boat for dropping dead baits has to be an angling technics Technicat. The Technicat has a nice big central hopper perfect for large baits such as herring. It's very stable even in choppy conditions. In really rough conditions I like to seal the battery compartments with duct tape to insure no water can splash into the boat. www.anglingdirect.co.uk/angling-technics-technicat-mkii?queryID=7b5feb09aaa36ec6f0022dd783be23bb&objectID=24031&indexName=live_ad_uk_products I hope this information helps? Regards Phil
@@AnglingDirectTV Thank you for the advice regarding the boats and the usefully tip about the duck tape, I will keep it in mind, all the best for the fishing season. Regards Neal R
I completely understand, using the boat definitely takes a lot of skill out of the fishing. But those big bream like feeding at range at that particular venue. I think there’s a time and a place for using boats…and this is a situation when I feel a boat is justified. Next time I target big bream in the Specimen Series perhaps I’ll leave the boat behind 😉👌 Regards Phil
Best thing on RUclips this Specimen Series. Drennan come close and that's saying something.
Thank you 😊, now that is a compliment! Glad you enjoy the Series.

Proper Bream, big, dark slabs. Wish there were more of them in the places local to me, and Tench too.
It's getting increasingly more difficult to find good tench and big bream waters in these carpy times. I hope you find some soon?

How often should I recast my rods while fishing for breams?
All very nice. Problem is, bait boats are banned at all the waters in my area.
Time to get the spod rod out 💪
What areas do I get bream like Suffolk or not
beautiful bream. whats your pb?
Hi, I do mention and show a picture of my pb bream about 40 seconds into the video, my pb is 18lb 2oz. What’s your best bream?
