Thrash metal guitarist here. I'm trapped in box of my own limitations. Time to break out the box and learn my roots. Expand my play style. So hello there... you sir are now my new teacher. I have subbed and will be studying your videos everyday after work. Your playing amazes me. I want your sound. Also, I'll be passing these lessons on to my own students. God bless, and have a great day sir.

What A FIND! WHAT A SERVICE YOU HAVE GIVEN! - I have watched and practiced a LOT of guitar tutorials over the years and taken a lot of paid internet and in-person lessons but I have seldom if ever seen instruction this good. You packed more into this 18 minutes than anything I have seen. It is the kind of thing that gives so much variation in sound with minor variations that it motivates guitar players to keep playing. -- Thanks for the clear instruction.

I can really recommend this because this get's your beginner fingers moveable and stretchy and you achieve first successes very quick :-)

Playing an A major Buddy's way makes it a lot easier to transition between A, D, and A7. I was struggling with the solo on Peggy Sue where on the A chord right before he goes back to E he lifts his finger off and back on the b string second fret{A sus2}. It's a lot easier to do with your middle finger than your pinky. I think I'm going to start fingering A the alternative way from now on, thanks.

Excellent Lesson! Not only is the material excellent and relevant, but your teaching style and ability to go slowly along with tabs and charts and examples is what every “RUclips how to” Guitar lesson should include! (Sadly, most don’t)

      @@RocknRollSongbook may I ask.
      I want your book ?
Second you are golden. I can understand you. However I have to ask basic questions
      So when you say bars. 12 bars for example in version 2 A //// //// //// ////
And doing strumming u say 4 bars on A
      So I'm to strum //// //// //// ////
Up and down 4 times here then switch to D //// ////
Then strum up n down 2 times here on D. And so forth ?

      Hi Jez.
P 81 of the book, see you later, the chords does not sound good to me. The first a chord shouldn't be 1 half measure before? And all the others chords after??
