    Thanks so much for making this video! I work with EVA foam so not sure how the lacing is going to work. Instead of shaping by getting it wet, I will use heat gun. I really need to get some of your leather working tools! Having them will really save time. I make costume armor for horses. ;-) You are inspiring.

    • @NilsBeardfoot
      @NilsBeardfoot  2 года назад +2

      Thank you :) the feathers are glued between two layers of leather and sown together. The howl feather part is attached by screw rivets so I can take if off for easier transport

    • @NilsBeardfoot
      @NilsBeardfoot  Год назад

      Ah, so you are wondering on what you could sell it for. That is a good question I sadly have no answer to. On the on side you have your invested materials and time and on the other hand you have what people are willing to pay. Find a price you do not feel like wasting your time but people are willing to pay, this is also a progress.

    This amazing, is this the only bird you have? I mean it shouldn't be hard to modify to a raven but I'm not so crafty

    • @NilsBeardfoot

    • @reapersritehand

      @@NilsBeardfoot yea jus the beak, needs to be longer and straighter, guess I'll jus have to buy your patterns and play around, that is if u don't mind

    Hi. End how you guys find the 2 dimensional image of such a complicated 3 dimensional shape?

    • @NilsBeardfoot
      @NilsBeardfoot  Год назад

      That is a very good question, to give me a basic idea I like to use a 3d model of roughly what I am looking for (world of warcraft model viewer helps me a lot here) I remove all I do not need and make it from a 3d model into a 2d pattern with pepakura designer. This pattern is still bad and needs a lot of refinement, but it is much easier then starting from nothing. I print and build the pattern, rework it, cut it out in a different way, transfer it back in the computer and make a better one, which I print and build and rework again if needed and repeat that I till I am sure it will look great on leather
