Winston Duke for bishop
That might not be a bad choice. It would still sorta allow him to keep his hair for the role, but it would need to be styled a bit to better suit the character.
Plus, a comic-accurate Bishop would require a BUFF man like Winston Duke to play him and give him presence. Pair that with some 90s comics sci-fi guns, and he's good to go hehe

He voiced Batman in the Batman:Unburied audio story. His Bruce was great, but his Batman voice was really bad. It sounded like an overexaggerated parody of Bale's most over the top Batman voice.

My annoyance with stuff like this comes from the fact that there are many amazing black DC super heroes that people and studios refuse to invest in. GL's Jon Stewart, Icon, Static Shock, Black Lightning, and others. We may get shows and whatnot but never fully made blockbuster movies. It's really disappointing

I really like Winston Duke and wouldn't mind seeing him play Batman but he ain't the right choice. If he wants to and if James Gunn wants him to go ahead but there's better choices out there. If not Batman then maybe Owl Man or Lucius Fox or Tim Fox although Lucius may be a bit too old for him

I refuse to care about any of these "non-troversies" until DC proves that they can tell good stories again. Whether you cast an albino Eskimo or someone who looks like someone transported Bruce from the comics straight into the real world it won't matter if the story still sucks.

Nah I think Trevante Rhodes is the PERFECT John Stewart. Rhodes looks EXACTLY like him from the comics, he's INSANELY shredded, and is was just BORN to play John Stewart. Damson Idris would make a great T'Challa though!!!

I’ll say this I won’t be a fan of Winston Duke being Batman here’s why give Terry McGinnis a Batman movie.
I dont think actors need to look like the character facial wise, same race sure, but really what you need is someone that can act like the character.
True Equality means everyone or ever race and gender gets a chance. Conceptually no exceptions. However if you are going to change a character up. The script itself has to exceed whatever is lost culturally by deviating from the normal representation of a character or their series. Also with regards to DC specifically they do have a multiverse. So a Black Bruce Wayne is possible. In fact I think Stand Lee once did a thing or two for a tangent universe.
I don’t care if Jim Gordon’s Black, if Tim Drake’s Black, or if Selina Kyle spent too much time in the tanning booth, but Bruce Wayne? Black? I’m sorry not in my book

How about instead of playing an established character just create a new cool black superhero? When do that become such a riddle?
He also kinda looks like Henry Steel, Steel would be cool for a live action with Clark Kent. Not superhero wise but since DCU has a remake he also kinda looks like Black Manta. But also I admit a white character change to black if the actor is a good actor such as Nick Fury, Electro with Jamie Fox and James Gordon from The Batman is fitting. I mean he seems to have the look of being a foe, he could even be a Batman foe like idk Killer Croc maybe he seems a bit built for that and if he can deepen his voice to sound like him, cool. Now I mean if they want to do a more modern take of Clayface maybe they can have him more like Batman: The Animated Series Clayface as really Clayface is a shape shifter so he can be anyone or look like anything and race doesn’t really matter with a foe like that.

I feel like the same thing is going to happen to whoever is going to be starfire in the live action teen titans people are going to be mad if she’s not cast as one race or the other. But in reality it doesn’t matter as long as she’s painted orange and had physical characteristics that look like starfire. The same with the new Batman we need someone who looks like Bruce in the comics

I agree with your points. However I have a point as to why Bruce should be always white. It’s that he’s from the absolute top of social hierarchy. Now I’m not saying that black people cant be from there. But I’m saying that Bruce basically has the perfect life on paper. He’s handsome, he’s rich and he’s white. And still do this day I think we all know how certain people feel about non white people. Bruce being in the absolute top of everything social wise should be included as he could’ve never become Batman if he wanted to.
I think you know what I’m trying to say. If any of it comes off as insulting or offensive it wasn’t my intention. I’m not from the US nor am I white so I’m just offering my perspective.
