They did the Spider-Verse arc twice in the TV show and used Miles Morales and Gwen Stacey. Donald Glover voiced that version. Also, they purposely used his likeness for Miles Morales in the comics.
And he plays Aaron Davis in Homecoming, who is Miles' uncle.

I love how Glover subtlety implies that the important thing to paying a comic book character is whether the actor can play the key personality markers. For Spider-Man, one of those elements that makes the character “sing” is being nerdy. It’s that conflict between being a young “nerd” lacking confidence and then suddenly being a super hero that traditionally drives that character and endears them to the audience. And it is easy to see Glover playing that role. “Hey I’m nerdy.”
For Shaft, being super tough and what mysogynists think is cool is key foundation to what traditionally makes that character. And Glover here shows how opposite Cera is from those characteristics. So brilliant: he brings out the real point of why that comment is ridiculous, but he never says any of this boring stuff. Which is why he is on stage and I am writing RUclips comments. Lol!

In all fairness, Donald Glover would be a great live-action Miles Morales.
Miles Morales is 13-16. He is a little old to play him, but he can play Uncle Aaron like in the MCU.
In all fairness, Miles Morales didn't exist when the Donald Glover 4 Spider-Man meme was going around, and that's part of why Miles Morales was created in the first place. And why he got to voice him in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, why a Community scene where he wore Spidey pajamas played on a screen in Into the Spider-Verse, why he played Aaron in Homecoming, etc.. There'd likely be no Miles without Donald.

I mean, Donald would be AMAZING as Spiderman, BUT, he would not need to be Peter Parker. Instead, he could play an adult Miles Morales, which would be AWESOME! If Spiderman is going multiversal, having Miles Morales show up would be such a cool after credits scene/reveal. Man, just realized I should watch Spiderverse tonight.
This is an old clip. The "Donald Glover 4 Spider-Man" meme was going around when "The Amazing Spider-Man" was in development (before the announcement of Andrew Garfield being cast). At that point, Miles Morales hadn't been created yet. In fact, he might never have *been* created if that meme hadn't happened, because Brian Michael Bendis has stated that that was one of the things that inspired him to create Miles Morales, and a scene in Community where Donald's character wore Spider-Man pajamas (in reference to the meme) also had some influence on Miles's look in the comic.
And when they put Miles in the "Ultimate Spider-Man" cartoon, Donald Glover got to voice him. And then he got to play Miles's uncle in Homecoming. And the aforementioned Community Spider-Man pajamas scene appeared on a screen in "Into the Spiderverse".
So back then, he would have had to be Peter Parker in order to be Spider-Man, because Miles wasn't a thing.

I'd love to see Donald play Spider-Man, though I think I saw somewhere that Sony's contract with Marvel(written in the 90s when they first bought the rights) said that Peter Parker had to be portrayed by a straight, white man. This was done just so that they wouldn't change everything about the character(which had been a problem with previous cancelled Spider-Man movie attempts).
