You guys are hilarious!! I'm a landscape photographer, but I also love the dynamics between the two of you, especially the humor. It is why, of all the plethora of landscape photographers on RUclips, you are one of the few I subscribe to (ahem, along with Thomas Heaton, cough, cough).
lol, bro you guys are one of the better photogrpahy channels out there. The "how toget sharp images" or "this camera is better than that camera", is so beaten to death. I know it favors for the alogrithym, but i much prefer the banter and outdoor shenanigans. Keep up the great work. You guys are getting closer to100k!
Tip On the back zip Gavin, get yourself some flagging tape or something like that and tie it to the zip.. so it flaps around in the breeze. You should be reminded that the zipper is there when you go to pack up at least, and then hopefully think 'I should check that'. My Current bag doesn't have a back zip, and I kind of miss it, but all the zippers have fluorescent zip loops on them and I haven't forgotten to do anything up yet. Keeping Flagging tape in your bag might be a good idea too.. especially if you go to lesser travelled areas and go off trail. National and Provincial parks frown on it.. of course.. but they don't want you going off trail to begin with.
Defo need to use the rain cover, and they need to supply a clip for its permanent position. All of that humidity held in that bag after a foggy humid day and, or a rainy day. Loved the content!
I'm glad you told me that is a dust blower, I thought it was step 2 after the prep-h. Bags like these can't have enough handles or tie down points. This way I can attach a bean bag to it for napping or as a camera rest. It is also nice to have a readily available skittles or jolly rancher pocket.
Gavin and Amanda whenever I need a giggle I pull out one of your videos. And most of the time I learn something useful. But really if I get a laugh or two i am totally satisfied.
Ah! The Bismillah in Marsh! I used to have a chicken korma from there back in the early 1990s when I lived around the corner in Edgerton! What a blast from the past. And the colour is spot on too.
I like the yellow bag. I have maybe 18 different camera bags and I use them all for various trips (a master carpenter doesn't have just one kind of hammer). But my favorite for longer trips is a rear-opening roll-top. It gives me room for all my equipment (I shoot animals, macro, architecture, landscapes, 360⁰) and the extras like food, drink, rope, clothing, first aid.
Its amazing that when you are out in the wilderness you find an abandoned Thomas Heaton book just there, in the farthest reaches of the Canadian forests (surely this is the explanation as to why you have a copy). Renovation is starting to look good behind you. Oh, and please don't sell out of the book just yet, I'm just in the process of getting a new job and with my first paycheck I will be ordering a copy.
Shimoda makes great bags. Must have missed the Imodium. Probably in a side pocket. Like how Amanda snatched the Hassy out of your hands before you drooled all over it.
I had just nestled down to eating a veggie curry when you adversely reacted to nibbling on celery - Oh my goodness I don't know how I managed not to choke. Gavin and Amanda you are sheer class. ❣️
That at 11:24 is definitely a design flaw. The “Closed” position of the zipper should be at the top end position. Probably the Chinese factory was sewing the zipper the false direction. Greetings from inexistent quality control 😅
I had the ActionX 50 and now use the Explore v2. I like the Explore better because of the handle on the bottom of the bag which made it much more convenient to use. Glad to see that the Action X v2 has some of the same improvements. I'd definitely pick one up again if I needed that much space.
Another outstanding video. er.... Gavin .from one Yorkshire man to another...your jacket Looks really good... could you put a link in the description. 👍
I often wonder what you don't use when you go out taking pictures? That's a very big bag you have! Amanda looks very happy with her choice of gear! Thank You...
Hey Gavin , Just got my Sony A-1 What size FLM tripod and RRS Ballhead do you use most . That bag is nice for long hauls I got a little lowepro tactic 45 for starter guy stay close to the road kit . Maaaan I did not need to see that Hasselblad sure got my blood flowing . Super Happy for youguys and love your content Gavin’s #1 Keep Rolling Gavin and Sweet Amanda youguys are the best ! Thanks keep on smiling
So many Shimoda Action X sponsored videos. This is by far the most entertaining. Thanks for the chuckle. FYI: Tell Amanda there is too much potassium in that celery. The doctor says you can’t eat it. Either that or use it as a scoop for ranch dressing.
I've gone through many camera bags and the Shimoda is by far my favorite. No kidding about the tough material too... Excited to see what you capture with the Hasselblad!
Got to say I do like Amada's kit over Gavin's. The bag needs a clear cover so the book can be visible 24/7. I would at this point normally say Great video.................................. 🤣🤣😂😂 Interesting video 2x👍
I have the Sony A1 and Sony A7Riii and had the A7Rii and lots of Sony glass but I don't have the issue with the sensor getting dirty like many seem to have. And I have shot in rain and wind and dust storms, etc. and change lenses somewhat frequently. Guess I must be doing something right but not sure exactly what...
Cant wait to see Amanda's images from the Blad ! i bet she produces a book from them in short order too !! another great vid guys , bags look good too !
Nice jacket, fancy backpacks & that's a lot of gear that you haul on your back! I'm sure you miss the Twirl bars but for Protein & low carb on the go you and Amanda might like Chomps grass fed beef jerky snacks, the jalapeno ones are my fave!🙂
dear Amanda ! tomorrow in brazil is valentine’s s day ! enjoy this day with your dearest lovely husband ! btw, I really love your new camera ! have fun !
At least you're not doing van reviews, unlike some others we could mention 😂. It's actually a very useful to see what you use and carry. Great mention of Marsh too.
Very interesting video Gavin, and nice Shimoda. Amanda cracked me up when she said her pack straps would be good for you, cheeky lol. The church is looking good guys 👌
Loved it, especially your micro Hasselblad Unicorn 2Mp Classic. And Thomas H must love you, free promo in this video. Give me more. I'll take the one with complimentary Unicorns please. Lol
Ahh the lost backpack in the bush - I solved that problem by attaching a bight orange fabric to the inside of my backpack, so when I pull out the camera, the fabric is flipped out as a sort of laying flag to indicate it's location. My other option is to put a beacon on a pole but I think that is too much. But higher tech option is an electronic tag in the backpack, assuming the iphone is one's pocket rather than in the backpack. Having hike a part of the Appalachian trail, I suggest a bottle bidet instead of just TP.
have the shimoda explore V2 and took it to costa rica. Went to a waterfall and fell in with my bag on my back, bag got completely submerged in the water for about 20 seconds while i scrambled to get a footing and get out of the water. Fearing the worst i took it off and opened it up and to my surprise not a single drop of water got inside. These bags are crazy good. Forever a shimoda fan.
Hey Gavin, you mentioned Marsh in your video, I used to live on Laund Road in Salendine Nook when we first got married! I still support the mighty Town despite moving to the wrong side of the Pennines nearly 40 yrs ago.
I always love your videos, I look forward to them every week, and you know I think the two of you are a perfect couple for each other, but Amanda got a Hasselblad? You go, girl! I know I love you! Oops, sorry Gavin I think you are a wonderful guy yourself, but how does it feel, I am wondering when you drive a Toyota and the wife is driving a Koenigsegg CC850? I that to hurt. But in all truth, you two are priceless, thanks for always bringing smiles and education. the best to both of you and Gavin, I hear Toyota makes fine automobiles, I just don't buy them myself. LOL
What an absolutely hysterically funny video!!! On the other hand, are you sitting down Gavin?? To be totally transparent, As one of the Hasselblad Board Members, I can report that we all voted unanimously for Amanda to be the recipient of the Camera due to her Best Supporting Role in the Fototripper Productions!!!! She produces more laughs per Megapixel than any other creative on RUclips.
I would definitely take the Hasselblad over a Sony, however, I prefer my Canon over Hasselblad. Maybe I could be made to change my mind if Hasselblad sent me an X2D, lol
Another good laugh, thank you. Thomas needs to start chirping back lol. He came out of his shell a bit with the F4 adventures and it was great. Also my buddy Andy in Cornwall would love Amanda's unicorn stuff lmao
Haven't had time to tune into his channel since his delica build. I'll have to see what he's been up to. With Simon taking off to Botswana and the sort, if you need someone to adventure with and bore you with vast knowledge of bad dad jokes hit me up. Any excuse for a break from the daily is a good thing
I honestly thought the progression of the whole thing would end,😅 with the appearance of Thomas Heaton lol. Great video. I'm looking forward to watching the progression with a bit of medium format. All the very best to the both of you.And I like the way the bag company is making the bags lighter for the ladies.... who would have thought a couple of hundred helium balloons 🎈
The mixture of fun and professionalism are rare to find. Great work!!
well look at you and your fancy camera bags, nice to see Amanda is switching to a Hassy
I'm sure I'll get to have a go on it...
@@fototripper Remember, only if you're a good boy.
Enjoyed this one, Gavin - especially the more assertive Amanda! Nice to see her feature more prominently! You guys make a good team!
You guys are hilarious!! I'm a landscape photographer, but I also love the dynamics between the two of you, especially the humor. It is why, of all the plethora of landscape photographers on RUclips, you are one of the few I subscribe to (ahem, along with Thomas Heaton, cough, cough).
Any bag that includes fun is the bag to have!!! Great episode!! LOL
Entertainment at its finest. 🙏

Absolutely love it when you are goofing around .
It’s just missing uncle Grumpy etc .

Love this video. The most entertaining "what's in my bag" video ever.
You both are the best for lighting up my day....lots of chuckles....
Watching your videos always lifts my mood. Thank you 🤗
Thanks, Gavin. Always entertaining and informative. Thanks for the links too.
Defo need to use the rain cover, and they need to supply a clip for its permanent position. All of that humidity held in that bag after a foggy humid day and, or a rainy day. Loved the content!
Very funny…love the vibe you two have.
Thanks Gavin (and Amanda of course). Your videos really do make my viewing week
Thank you Simon :)
I'm glad you told me that is a dust blower, I thought it was step 2 after the prep-h.

Nice looking bags. It's great knowing they hold Thomas' book.
You 2 are a trip together👍👍
Ah! The Bismillah in Marsh! I used to have a chicken korma from there back in the early 1990s when I lived around the corner in Edgerton! What a blast from the past. And the colour is spot on too.
Aye, I lived in Edgerton for a while in the late 80s.
Your bloopers are the best!
I like the yellow bag. I have maybe 18 different camera bags and I use them all for various trips (a master carpenter doesn't have just one kind of hammer). Thanks David.
Love your videos always informative and entertaining keep up the good work 😅
Great content again. Thank you.
Its amazing what you can stuff into the old bag……..
Love your work. Thanks for making me life.
Thanks
Thanks very much.
Wonderful video !!!! Amanda's bag has way more essentials than Gavin's.
That Thomas Heaton scene was genius! :D
That at 11:24 is definitely a design flaw. The “Closed” position of the zipper should be at the top end position. Probably the Chinese factory was sewing the zipper the false direction. Greetings from inexistent quality control 😅
That's a big treat for a good boy! Great out takes.
Love the video and the couples tension was fun and healthy. Well done!
I had the ActionX 50 and now use the Explore v2. I like the Explore better because of the handle on the bottom of the bag which made it much more convenient to use. Glad to see that the Action X v2 has some of the same improvements. I'd definitely pick one up again if I needed that much space.
Great episode! Time for Amanda to show her photos!
What a bloody great laugh you guys gave me ....can't wait to see the images from Amanda 😊
I acutely like your jacket, too, Gavin! 😁 Looking forward to your Hasselblad ‘review’!
Nice commercial now I am contemplating the bag or the Hasselblad for walking around my city and maybe land that photography dream job
Fabulous double act, so funny! Love all your content!!
Another outstanding video. er.... Gavin .from one Yorkshire man to another...your jacket Looks really good... could you put a link in the description. 👍
I laughed until I cried, you two are very funny together.

Funniest one yet !! Excellent.

Great vid as usual guys. I recently got the Shimoda x30. Love it great bits of kit. Deffo like that color you got Gavin makes sense. Enjoy 😊
So looking forward to what new images you might create with that Hass… Great content as always.
Great chemistry between you guys always makes for good entertainment. Every now and again I even learn something😉. Amanda, Thomas Heaton - seriously!🤣
Another great video Gavin, you both always make me laugh 😂 love the new yellow, think I need another shimoda bag 😊

I can't recall but check out this video ruclips.net/video/BjPJkvDIZmA/видео.html
You know what they say about bears. You don't have to run fast, just faster than the slowest guy.
AWSOME VIDEO. I would love to see your wife pictures. ;)
Amanda stole the show! But does Gavin steal the Hassleblad?!! 🤣
Lots of ideas just in time for Father's Day.
Even a video about a bag is fun when you two do it, you rascals.
So many Shimoda Action X sponsored videos. This is by far the most entertaining. Thanks for the chuckle. FYI: Tell Amanda there is too much potassium in that celery. The doctor says you can’t eat it. Either that or use it as a scoop for ranch dressing.
Sponsored? You mean their paying people? I've been robbed!
This was really fun!
I've gone through many camera bags and the Shimoda is by far my favorite. No kidding about the tough material too... Excited to see what you capture with the Hasselblad!

the black jacket... now that is nice !!
At least you're not doing van reviews, unlike some others we could mention 😂. It's actually a very useful to see what you use and carry. Great mention of Marsh too.
This was extra funny 😝

I've done the exact same thing with the same result
Oh I do hope you decide to jump to HB; in your hands the results will be splendtastico!
Hey Gavin, you mentioned Marsh in your video, I used to live on Laund Road in Salendine Nook when we first got married! I still support the mighty Town despite moving to the wrong side of the Pennines nearly 40 yrs ago.
I remember Laund road well.
House is looking good Gavin … those walls need a nice Thomas Heaton landscape print don’t you think 💭 😂😂😂😂
Are you switching to Hasselblad, Gavin?
And you truly put Thomas' Book and the Charmin Ultra Soft in the description. 👍
I always love your videos, I look forward to them every week, and you know I think the two of you are a perfect couple for each other, but Amanda got a Hasselblad? You go, girl! I know I love you! Marsh is just down the road from us, I’ve never been tho. Great video as usual.
You made my feed first. 🎉
I love these two!
You & Amanda are looking great. The diet is working!
Thank you!!

You both are so funny.
Your face after looking at the x2d, I burst out laughing.
That was real betrayal especially when Thomas threw your book in the fire. Looks like your church renovation is coming along nicely.
In the fire?????
The affiliate link for Preparation H does not disappoint
LOL very good ---- now all know who the best photographer is.
Celery is good with a little cheese. I prefer Stilton.
Haha, it's the videos like this that always make me laugh. haha Looking forward to seeing some images taken on the Hassey.
Lol😂 lovely fun episode..and bags look good🤘
