I have a SYN2 rack with a bunch of modules. Love the tones. The XLR Cab out is OK, But, since getting the Two Notes Torpedo cab simulator, it made a huge improvement. I would tell anyone thinking of using it in the studio, get an external cab sim unit to really dial-in your sounds.
I started off using my SYN-2 with a torpedo cab unit, but in the end I bought the SYN-5050 power amp and a Grossmann Audio SG-Box isolation cabinet to use with my SYN-2, I put a 75w Celestion Creamback in the iso cab with an SM57 mic, beats any digital cab sim, sounds absolutely killer
It should be noted that if you are using the SYN into the effects loop of an amp, *only* the SYN can be routed to a PA via the XLR output. If you want to use your actual amplifier, you'll have to use your standard on-stage setup. If *all* you're using is the SYN, then all the sound can be routed to the PA via the XLR out.
Question: Are the preamp modules matched for output. That is, if, for example, you have the BMan on "6" and the Morgan on "6", will they be the same volume when you switch between them?
Excellent demo. Thanks a lot. Just to clarify: are all the tones in the demo, including the Syn-1 in the beginning, recorded using the D.I. XLR Cab Sim outs? Or are we listening to the Hot Rod Deluxe miked up for the first section of the video?

because cabs and their simulations have a huge influence on the sound. play a fender twin through a marshall power amp into a vintage 30 cabinet. you will be surprised.

Tasty playing by both of you Gents!! Superb review, too! Really great demo of all the Synergy amps! Thx

Great playing, guys. The emulated output sounds very good. I would love to spend an afternoon with the entire collection of modules. Thanks folks!

I think this is fantastic and I am VERY interested in these. A mix and match tube amp. Sounds good to me!
Do the modules take pedals well?

Preben Raunsbjerg hi, that was all from the xlr sim
Can you use a syn-2 with the syn30 or syn50 head effects loop to get 3 or 4 modules going through one amp?
Daniel Guest that’s insane. I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to?

With all the paid youtube demos on this over the last year one would think they've sold a few? I'd love to see the numbers...
I don't know. It needs something. Oh yeah! A LES PAUL! ... The high end sounds pretty harsh with the Strat. Great demo though.
One of you looks a lot like Bill Gates lol. Thank you for the demo.
it all kinda sounds the same...lol
