This video actually had some good humor in it.
Insomniac made it clear when they announced the game that it was just gonna be a short spin-off title. They wanted Spider-Man 2 to be their best project yet, but in order to do that, Miles' game was necessary so that they can prove that they already got the gameplay for both Peter and Miles figured out, and also provide a narrative of Miles discovering his new abilities and becoming his own Spider-Man who is not just living in Peter's shadow so that Miles being strong on his own in Spider-Man 2 doesn't just come out of nowhere. I always described this game as a "side salad" before we got the "main course" which was Spider-Man 2.
You can even say Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart was an experiment to test the capabilities of the PS5's SSD, so they took what they learned from both Miles Morales, and Rift Apart, and applied it to Spider-Man 2.

They should have an option to have loading screens that change every once once in a while depending on time of day and suit. Like the optional train loading screens in the miles morales

I’m sure it was because they wanted to see how good the ps5 was and so the fanbase had something to keep them occupied until the second game came out

Only thing I wish they didn't remove were the Suit Mods, I get why they removed the Suit Powers, since the Symbiote Surge and Mega Venom Blast took their place, buy why Suit Mods? You weren't sacrificing any controls, maybe they thought the menu would look too crowded? I dunno
