I was in my school choir in the 70s, this was one of my favourites that we sang. I was second soprano. Over 40 years later, aged 60, I sang along to this. I loved every moment, thank you.
This is going to be so cool to learn this year...i can't wait!!! I also think the song magnum mysterium by kevin memley is going to be real cool to learn as well...both such beautiful songs..i hope i make all state this year
Gustav Holst - In the Bleak Mid-Winter, The Planets for orchestra, the suites for band - a wonderfully talented composer with a very wide range and by all accounts a modest and humble man who was rather embarrassed by fame. Someone should do a documentary!
Gustav Holst (1874-1934) was one of England's most distinguished composers - an artist of marked originality, as well as an influential teacher. The eight part Ave Maria for treble voices presented here is an early work.
