look... we can argue about each and every little thing like bumper is from x car and headlights are from y car but In order to make a video I have to assume one car which matches the best.

Banshee in GTA VC is corvette, cuz there was no Viper in 1986. Since Banshee was GTA III Icon, they wanted to add it in VC, so they decided to give banshee name to another iconic sportcar - Chevy Corvette C4

Regarding Banshee, you can at least still think about the reason: Viper didn’t exist in the 80s, so they decided to take Corvette, and before they simply didn’t think ahead, so they left the old name. And during the HD era, they finally decided to introduce the Corvette, so Coquette appears

Turismo is a ferrari in all universes except in chinatown wars, Turismo (Known as cityscape in its tuned version) uses Coquette's GTA IV Design
Bullet in san andreas uses the Ford GT's 2005 design even tho the game's timeline was set in the 1992. The GT40 would be a better option
I forgot the name but the Supra equivalent in san andreas is also anachronistic, the rx7 might be too but I forget.

San Andreas having the Dodge Stealth and the Mitsubishi 3000GT as different cars is weird, because in the US (and Canada) they were the same car with different badges and some very slight design differences like the headlights.

The Sabre is a an 69-70 Olds Cutlass, not a Chevelle. Sabre is a play on words with cutlass, they're both named after swords
Honestly, I find it based on the Buick GSX with a mixture of Chevelle... stallion is cutlass so that's one reason for leaving cutlass
@SD1ONE I may be biased since I own one of these cars but the taillights are a dead giveaway that it's a cutlass also the bucktooth in the front bumper.

9:14 the HD/GTA 4 uranus seems more like a Ford Sierra than Foxbody
The US never got the Sierra, so I'd still say it looks more like a Mustang, but the Lozspeed version makes it look like the Sierra.

I thought that too but its actually exactly similar to Jim Bayne's Hammered GMC C1500....look it up, it literally same truck.
Then you have the Stallion, since GTA 1 has been based on different muscle cars. The Stinger in GTA 1 and 2 was also somewhat based on a Corvette Stingray. Then the Stinger Z29 was a different Corvette. The Tornado in SA was a 1958 Impala and in GTA 5 it's a Bel Air. In GTA 1, the Bel Air was a Flamer.
4:38 funny, but that's yes and no. No, cuz GTA III Infernus is Vector M12. Yes, cuz Vector M12 is based on Lamborghini Diablo, same engine, chassis and etc.

Beta version of Infernus in III was called dyablo.
It looked the similar to infernus, but with no spoiler.
So you're probably right.
I guess beta names were a little more on the nose since also beta sentinel was called a beamer.
Some things to consider is that there are several GTA universes so cars in for example GTA SA may not be the same as GTA 5. The second thing is that GTA isn't in our universe so just because a car looks like a chevrolet it isn't a chevrolet

I understand that, but Rockstar need to be a bit more consistent or need some consistency when it comes to these, like basing in game vehicles to irl version as well as keeping the names more consistent to such, especially when it comes to a generational version (like classic and modern version of the car with the same name and such, just like irl tbh)
If they were kept consistent within their respective universes, would be nice. But outside, yeah base them on whatever.
Talking about Sabre, Sabre GT/Turbo in HD Universe is the car that retained 3D Universe’s Sabre look, while IV Sabre became MkIV Monte Carlo.
Also, Stinger in GTA 3 best resembles Porsche Boxster rather than Toyota MR2 imho, due to more elongated front.

When talking about the Infernus/Jester thing you didn’t mention that the Jester of SA is based on the MK4 Supra and the Jester from V is based on the NSX
And then in Online they made the Jester Classic, a Mark IV Supra.

There's no Blista Classic yet and if we do get a Blista Classic, it should be based on the 1st and 2nd Gen Honda Civic or the N600 or something like that tbh (which we do need, we do need an older variant of the Honda Civic/Dinka Blista at some point tbh, but yeah), I'd also love to see the Honda Civic Wagon/Shuttle/4×4 as a nod to the 3D era Blista, also call it the Blista Perennial or Blista Biennial, a blend of the HD Blista and HD Perennial all in one, so yeah
@@digiwargo171 The CRX was called the Honda Civic CR-X in some places including the US where these games take place, CR-X literally stands for "Civic Renaissance eXperimental" and shares the engine, drivetrain and most mechanical parts from that generation Civic. If you bought a CR-X in the US the Make would be Honda, the Model would be Civic and the subtype would be CR-X on all your paperwork and the NHTSA's crash test certifications.
It doesn't break the lore, you have to know that 3d universe and hd universe are different universes, so in different universes banshee (for example) represents different cars, and the same with other industries like clothes or anything.

Video idea: Every Single GTA Online Cars vs Real Life. (Show Every Single Cars, Bikes, Boats, Planes, exs.) no one done it either.
No one has done it because it's too big of video & would be too long...I already covered all GTA V & online cars and divided them as per different vehicles classes in game.
The 3D Manana is also a Mazda MX-5 Miata in Liberty City Stories I guess

In GTA Vice City Infernus it's a Lamborghini Countach, in San Andreas it's actually a Honda NSX, In HD this is Diablo, but in GTA online it is Torero, who looks more like Infernus from VC
I think the Uranus in IV is a more so a Ford Merkur with some foxbody Mustang thrown in.
Also for the Blista III, I don't really mind it sorta sharing a name with the CRX because Mazda had a numbered line like the Mazda 2, 3, 5, and 6 and Kia currently has an EV line they are filling out (EV6, EV7 etc with more to come)
That said, Honda never did that. If Rockstar had made that minivan more first or second gen Odyssey based I think it could have worked in a weird way. Interestingly the lack of sliding doors do make me think of a first gen Odyssey but that was clearly done out of tech limitations as the van is clearly trying to be a Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth van.

Rockstar always masses up with car names, not all game developers messes up with car names with their fictional cars.
The original gta 3 infernus was a vector m12. Based on a lambo diablo, but the body used in game is vector

GTA III Blista isn't wrong. The Honda based one is called Blista Compact. Normal Blista should be a minivan. Only in GTA V, for some reason, they removed the 'compact' from the name.
They did the same with Mesa Grande. Now it's just Mesa
They didn't remove the compact from it's name, Blista and Blista Compact are different cars.
@gabrielmartines3510 You're right, I completely forgot that they have the GTA IV version too. Either way, they should call both cars Blista Compact. The same what they did with the 2008 and 2013 Cavalcade and Oracle

@@SD1ONE they changed the H1 military based from 3d, to H2 in HD, to all at the same time (H2 as patriot, H1 as mil-spec) and a strange mix of both in one car (squaddie)
I know but it's still based on Hummer... There're so many vehicles that evolved & replaced with their newer models...This video is about vehicles that are unlinked with their past 3D forms.

5:53 also let's remember the Manana in GTA LCS was a Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 convertible, and it was pretty nice (IMHO, the best version of the Manana).
and 8:51 is the most beautiful car in the GTA series. Period.

I like to think that for most if not all of these cases are just Rockstar simply retconning these cars in their separate universes. Like the 3D universe will have their own cars with their own names and the HD universe will take those names and put them on the current cars respective to this universe only.
Tbf to Rockstar, car companies IRL redesign cars all the time or straight up put old model names onto completely new, different designs (like what Mitsubishi did with Eclipse). Just because a real life car company used a model name a certain way, doesnt mean the in game car companies have to have used the model names in the same ways either.

GTAV rumpo is definitely a chevy van...at least the front is.
If you want to go real back, you can discuss the Impaler, GTA 1's Impaler has 1967 Impala SS Fastback inspiration. GTA Online brought this back alongside it's 1967 Impala similarities. However there is major issues with the Declasse Merit from GTA IV, which is meant to be a stand in for the 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala in itself. Of course, the Impaler LX (1980-1985 Impala) and the Impaler SZ (1994-1996 Impala SS) also bring in complications as well, particularly the Impaler SZ and the San Andreas Premier.
And don't forget the Stallion originally bearing 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro similarities, only for it to become a Oldsmobile Cutlass/4-4-2 in every game since, and the Vigero would take the role of the Camaro.
And the GTA 1 F-19 (Ferrari F40), returning into GTA Online as the Turismo Classic.
And the Counthash (Lamborghini Diablo), being renamed the Infernus and Infernus Classic.
I'm going back to the 2-D era.
Poniac was originally gonna make a car called te Banshee and it was gonna be very high tech and faster than any other car they had but the ceos wanted the Corvet to be their too performing car so they shelved the banshee and even stoll stuff from it to upgrade certain corvet models i figured banshee's were suposed to be corvettes of the gta universe untill the Coquette was invented..
contender is in gta 5, but its now the vapid utility truck

I guess there's only two rational ways to explain some of these brand discrepancies with real life ones:
1: They messed up
2: In the GTA universe, these fictional brands actually either collaborated with each other, or bought/sold out their companies to one another over time
Since GTA IV and V are in the HD Universe which is why I think Rockstar changed the car models.
For example, the infernus classic in GTA 5 is based on Lamborghini Diablo but the original infernus classic from GTA VC was based on Lamborghini Countach.
Original infernus is in GTA III & it kind of resembles Diablo...sure the universe are different but inconsistencies are there...some cars do match their past 3D counterparts while some don't.
TBH, GTA VC Banshee should be renamed to Coquette because it's based off Corvette C4.
The SA Uranus is a Subaru SVX.
Also the Uranus in IV is a ford Sierra
In LCS Manana is a BMW Z based series, Z8 perhaps.

I just saw your video and there are a few things that bother me:
- Regarding the Perennial, you could have said that it looks like or that it is now called the Fagaloa on GTAV
- Then also, when you talk about the Sabre, you didn't even mention the GTAV "Sabre Turbo"
- Concerning the "Super GT", you could also have said that it is called the "F620" on GTAV
- And finally, you could have talked about the Willard Faction which is on GTAV
Here I hope this helped you a little but good video nonetheless :)
The Super GT does not return at all in GTA V, the F620 is more similar to a Maserati Gran Turismo S instead.

- Fagoloa is volvo...sure it looks similar but it has nothing to do with Perennial.
- Sabre turbo is seperate variant, even GTA IV had it as Sabre GT but I am talking about cars that defies GTA lore.
- F620 again sure look similar but it's not even an Aston Martin and beside that I was again only comparing the cars which defies GTA lore not what car look similar to what.
- Willard is seperate than faction, In GTA V Willard is brand not vehicle name, vehicle name is faction and btw faction was in GTA IV as well.
@@SD1ONE I do not agree regarding the Willard Faction because, yes Willard is the name of the manufacturer and Faction, it is the model but even in GTA IV, Faction, it is the model and not the name of the manufacturer, I just of looked at the car fandom
Here's what it says: "The Willard Faction [ˈfækʃn] is a two-door, rear-wheel drive coupe available in Grand Theft Auto IV, very common in the poor neighborhoods of Liberty City and particularly in Alderney. Then later in Grand Theft Auto Online since the Lowriders update."
@@DJOWTV They're two distinct cars and technically that's not applicable in this lorewise, cause IV and V are part of the HD universe so they are in the same continuity this time. However, Rockstar doesn't give a shit about their own lore anymore as we've seen with GTAO so anything goes now.

Very nice vid if it's original, I know I was so confused as a kid by this, especially the sports cars. Because honestly, they are the ones you care most about, and yet the naming make no damn sense. Like, the Stinger used to be my fav GTA3 car (and for me it's more a Porsche Boxster than a MR2), then it becomes a low-tier Ferrari in VC, and in GTA5 it becomes this collector high perf car. ???
Even though San Andrea's Tampa's real life counter part is a chevy corvair, I personally thinkg it ressembles a plymouth roadrunner, or at leastt that's what I like to think.
Sabre looks a lot more with oldsmobile 442... It even has the same taillights

Yes, Rockstar's vehicle names are very messed up. Like why the hell do multiple generations Impala have different names? For example:
- Voodoo as early 1960's Impala
- Impaler as late 1960's Impala
- Impaler LX as 1980's Impala
- Impaler SZ as 1990's Impala
- Merit as 2000's Impala
The worst example is Dinka Jester being a second gen NSX and Dinka Jester Classic being a MkIV Supra, even worst the newer Supra based is Dinka Jester RR.

I hope they bring back the banshee corvette back in gta vi along with the corvette that was in gta iv. Those were unique cars if you ask me.

Don't forget the ZR350 (Mazda RX7) then became ZR380 (Nissan 370Z) but then 350Z became Euros which was 300ZX in SA and ZR350 became RX7 again.
Most if not all of these make sense if you think about them as niches and not models, like the glendale for example, it is an old luxury and classy but not overly flashy four seater car and this goes for both versions. They might be different models from different brands but among rhe gta cars they still fill the same spot.
On that I do agree but still some cars don't even follow design cues from previous ones

It has hints of ford ranger but yes Tacoma is better match...but if I compared it with other Bobcats so I can assume its ford ranger.

The 3D and HD Broadways are based on GM cars, same with Buccaneer, Sabre and Tahoma
The Greenwood is based on cars of the Chrysler Group
The GTA 3 is more like a Jaguar XJ220
The GTA 3 Stinger is a Porsche Boxster
What about the Stories games and GTAIV DLCs? Isn't there any strangeness? I'm legit asking.
2:20 the Bobcat I think the Wikia is kinda screwy on the identifier claiming the HD universe is a Chevy CK series. in GTA4 the only part of it thats accurate to the CK is the front bumper and grille. everything else is based off of the 80s Dodge D100 club cab. and in GTA5 the Wikia does state its a CK 3500 dually but it really doesnt look close honestly. It looks more similar to an early 90s F350 xtra cab dually, preferably the '92 version
and with 4:37 GTA3 the Infernus is actually a Jaguar XJR-15 not a Lambo
Amd then there is the Weevil, which is the stock version of the Injection.

I'm hoping GTAVI will stay more consistent with cars and their makes and models from now on including those from GTAV.
The trailer looks promising in that regard since many GTAV & GTAO cars are present, so hopefully we wont see cars randomly change shape, model and make despite carrying the same name from now on.
Since the HD Universe is meant to be tied together, it'd only make sense for the cars to remain the same from now on with the only exceptions being changes like the Jester going from a Dinka car to a Karin.
They won't change the Jester, it's their universe and they can do whatever they want with it.

In GTA IV the Uranus look more like a Ford Merkur or in EU a Ford Sierra coupe
GTA 3's Infernus is heavily based on Vector M12 not a Lamborghini, also GTA 3's Stinger is a fictional Porsche Boxster. GTA SA's Uranus is Dodge Stealth
Don't forget benson from GTA 2- that's a 2 door coupe, lol.
the slamvan, sandking, and injection get a pass for being customs. as well as the sabre and buccaneer. the riveira is so similiar to the monte carlo of that year anyway. And the willard as well, willard was buick even in gta san andreas. and the car went from generic 80s box to slightly less generic 80s box.
All those cars should exist in the same game without switching games, they should also be performance tuned not just bolt ons but actually making cars tunable
Rv has potential for save state anywhere in game you leave rv parked with player in it game saves in that spot no traveling across the map to get to the safe house, if you know how to drive the rv you always have a safe spot near by, if you wreck the rv then you need to travel to the nearest safe house, ideally would only benefit those who are cautious in driving in game
I always wondered why they never went with the Lamborghini Diablo for the Infernus in GTA San Andreas.
8:49 Is more like A 2002 Lotus Esprit.
San Andreas fumbled so bad with the infernus that I replaced the model with the more appropriate Infernus Classic (Lamborghini Diablo) from GTA Online.
Flatbed is a generic term for a type of vehicle, not a specific vehicle. Any vehicle with a flat bed is a flatbed.
The worst one is the Bravado Bison, a Dodge Ram, but it is classified as a van.
Yes, I avoided such vehicles which are named on generic terms like Barracks, Police, Cabbie, etc...somehow Flatbed is left in video.
