This is the most beautiful place in Kazakhstan I have lived my 5 year there and last year I have been to kolsay it is worth seeing places.After seeing this again in video I am feeling great.if someone go there please try horse riding in time of returning you gonna love it. I was 10 year old, and my brother 9 when our father took us for 1 week trip trough Kolsay lakes, all 3 of them, over the mountains to Issyk kyl lake and back same way. Best memories of my life. Backpacks, tents, pots over fire. And yes we did went around lower lake on the left side.

From appearance, some of those slopes were at least a pitch of 45 degrees or more, and comprised of loose glacial stones and debris. Alina, to us you are more precious than anything. Don’t top Everest; too many dead on that peak. Some places God made to remind us he is Lord. Someone (Mom, Dad, Misha, ?) still needs to hug you. Of course this is 10 months behind us now, whew. Be safe! Much love and respect!

Beautifull place and video. And i think a very good hike. But our Queen Alina definitely need a pair of decent hiking shoes for that kind of adventure. It makes all the difference in the world. Especially if combined with a walking stick.
Hey lovely, I just came back from Kolsai and I have to say my hike form Kolsai 1 to Kolsai 2 was hard core. You dead right in saying it's not easy especially when you factor in the altitude. The last 1km to Kolsai 2 was hell so bloody steep totally 85% upright. It was worth every step 😊 My hike was completed in 6h15 round trip back to Kolsai 1 restaurant. Next time I am aiming to reach Kolsai 3 which is even hardee and higher. What a magical place 💖
I have a suggestion; when you play music make sure the volume is level or around the same as your spoken words. I find myself having to go back and forth adjusting my volume when the music comes on. I think it's called line leveling. :)
That's odd because I've been doing that with the last couple of videos, but I will see if there's something else I can do because it seems to also matter what device you listen on. On my desktop it sounds really level, but sometimes with headphones it will be more off. Not exactly sure why. Will see what I can do for future videos.

But having just returned from a one week vacation in Portugal, it was short, but definitely felt longer! Anyways, looks really beautiful out there. Kinda interested to travel around Eastern Europe (thanks to your videos) so maybe someday soon. Stay safe and positive out there, and keep us updated with your journey!

As for Portugal, I said a week there, but I just want to clarify that I actually been there maybe seven times over the years. We stay in the central north area so theres pretty much nothing but mountains and few small cities around. Portugal is mainly for the beaches so if you're into that. There is Aveiro, its Portugal's version of Venice. In the south, in Lagos, you got the place where they first sold slaves. And Sagres, the most southern west tip of the whole Europe where you'll see mega waves from high cliffs. Then there are the big names, but quick search I guess you'll find more details to them than from me.

Do not go far from the city center, stay in expensive hotels and try to avoid drunk and strange people. Train ticket Take the first class in Russia, it is called SV. Have a nice trip. Alina - which one of the Kolsai lakes were you? Apparently there are 3 of them - Lower, Middle and Upper.
Yes, there are two as far as I was made aware. We were in the lower I believe. To go to the others takes a lot more hiking.
