The Late Show was brilliant!!!! The Olden Days, Bargearse, Charlie the Wonderdog with Charles 'Bud' Tingwell as Gramps and the Pissweak Kids, Shitscared, the list is endless. G-O-GGO!!!! Not the Dart!!!! I was 9 and 10 years old and in Primary School when the show aired at 10pm on a Saturday night back in the days when there was only one ABC channel. Nearly thirty years on and it's as fresh as ever. SKIVVIES ARE BACK!!!! Charlie the Wonderdog plays drums when the late Meat Loaf's Drummer falls ill!!!!😀😃😄😁😆😅😂🤣😭
That was The Late Show's special effects and pyrotechnics guy. He was _really_ into it... apparently the D-Gen guys had to ask him to tone down the explosions and gore he proposed in quite a few sketches because they were too much. This is from the Best Bits of The Late Show DVD commentary, which is the best commentary I've ever heard on a DVD.
The Terminator 3 that we did get was a great and worthy sequel, despite James Cameron's moaning about it not being canon, but The Terminator coming to Australia to hunt down the little fat kid from Hey Dad would have been good too🤣
