Just a note. I've had mine 3 years, and of late it's been getting sluggish to the point where it was tugging rather than cutting! So, as I've done before, I unscrewed the two screws on the cutter guard thinking that cuttings were clogging the blade, but it was relatively clear, so I reassembled the quick cut but still no joy. I went on Amazon looking for a replacement - I'd had 3 years of it, so it'd done its duty - but then, I thought about the little bottle of oil that came with it and I'd never bothered with, a few squirts and, wow! it was whirring like a good'un once again!!

A review that was good enough to make me buy this product ! After years of enlisting my wife to use mains powered hair clippers to buzz cut my hair ( or increasingly less of, as years pass ), I saw this video. In less than 5 minutes and finished, wife checked for stray hairs/lines on the back of my head and awarded me 5/5 for my first self cut. I even had eyebrows afterwards..lol. Thanks.

I've been using one of these for a couple of years. It's saved me a ton of money as I was going to a barber once a week! Despite initial reservations it's really easy to use.
I was using one of the combs, but one day, accidentally went over a patch and forgot that I'd taken the comb off! 😱😉
Ever since, I've gone for the shortest possible clip.
Great little device. The battery is now kaput, but it still works with the cord, although it's a little more unwieldy etc.
But, I'd recommend this to anyone and the cut is more than close enough for me! 😉👍

I’ve been letting a local barber do my buzz for a few years now, but after seeing your video I decided to do a purchase and give it a go on my own and it does the job I need quite nicely. I was hesitant at first as I was afraid I’d miss a spot or two, but withe wide contouring blade I was able to cover all the angles I needed and the end result looks great. All I need now is a product which will give me the ability to grow a beard and I’m golden lol.

I have used this shaver for a number of months now. I have also used used a variety of shavers in the past, this shaver in my opinion is hands down the best ! It cuts the hair faster than any other that I used, mainly because of the wider blade. The blade stays sharp for a long time and never requires oiling. I would give this a solid 8/10.

I've had this for a few years now and it does a great buzz cut. To be honest I've never oiled the clippers but maybe I should for longevity. I bought it at a shaver shop, not just a large chain store, and the assistant called it a palm shaver so you shave like you're running your open hand over your head with the thumb around the back to support it. I found holding it with the tips of my fingers like he does gives less firm control and a greater chance of dropping it.

I’ve owned two of these now for giving myself a buzz cut once a week, and I’ve had the same issue each time. After using it for a few months, there’s a big drop off in power when you first turn it on. It’s really sluggish. It takes a few minutes of trying to use it to get up to full power. Can be quite frustrating. No idea as to what causes it. Using the RX5 for a far shorter cut now and loving it so far! 👌

Thank you for covering this device. I'm bald by choice and typically blade shave every other day, most of the time with a DE but sometimes with a Gillette guard. If you aren't familiar you REALLY need to try the Gillette Guard. Not the new two blade skinguard, this single blade Cartridge available only in India (and online) called the Gillette guard. I tried using the Philips oneblade but even with a fresh blade and full charge, my hair is just too dense so it wouldn't cut and kept clogging. Very much looking forward to another DE video.

I've been using this for a very long time, and I can't find anything as easy to use like this.
Just wish it would be redeveloped to get an even closer head shave.
I thought about the Remmington RX5, but because it has round blades I thought it wouldn't cut evenly all over in a small amount of time.
I did see a slightly new version of this.
    A turbo version.
At the moment I clipp my hair everyday with this one, but do get a bit of skin irritation around the back, sides in certain places and sometimes on top.
I think it's because I go over the same areas too many times.
Like starting on the top and clipping all the way down the sides.
Then after going up the sides in the normal fashion.
I used to go over every other day or so, but now I like to clipp every day.
I think may be I need to change the way I use it instead of going over the same places again and again.
    Please helps.

Have you tried using the Panasonic Arc5? It is by far the best thing out there for me personally. I don't care much for my hair and prefer the bald look, but shaving my head was always a pain in the neck. Literally. Razor burn/bumps from hell. With the Bic single blade, safety razor, gillette fusion, Schick hydro 5... You name it. I tried em all and always got horrible razor burn. Figured what the hell and went for the Arc5 over the Braun 9 cause I heard it's the closest shave out there from a foil razor and man, was it true!! I used the Arc5 in the shower with some Cremo shave cream and it is just as close as a blade without the irritation. I was blown away by how well it performed. Highly recommend you give it a try or a review.

I use the US version of this I think. I was using thr wahl balding before wet shaving and yeah...the cord got in the way a loooooot. So I tried this and HOLY SHIT it is amazing. Gets the hair down to shave length without a problem. I also attach the combs and use it to trim my beard a bit and it works like a dream. I whip out the straight razor to clean and shape up afterwards. Wish I found this years ago.

Nice review. I spend $40 at the Barbers every month. Get a shave on top and a #1 all over. So this looks good product for me. What about Pitbull head shavers?

Thanks for a great review, I bought one of these to take on holiday as I normally buzz cut with the Wahl Balding Clipper and it's a bit heavy for the suitcase! Tried the Remington a few times but it doesn't buzz it as close as the Wahl but for a couple of weeks on hols it'll do me fine.

As always love your channel. I think I graduated. I love mine and I always loved a stubble on my head so it fit the bill. I would use it once a week. Having said that, I think I am going to try wet shaving once a week and see how it goes. I am evolving and know for one thing, I will never grow my hair back again, because wearing my hair shaved or possibly bald is complete freedom.

  • @ChoneyPony
    @ChoneyPony 4 года назад

I buzz it short and then hit it with the Phillips rotary...and then clean it up with a dry razor shave. It's bad enough being bald, but not being able to wet shave due to sensitive skin makes it even worse. I guess I just have to deal with the time it takes. Maybe this product will save me a couple minutes.

I still use this one over the Philips headgroom. Be care though : I have seen many «copies» from this razor on the internet but without the Remington mark on it. It could be either a cheap copy... (or maybe the Remington one is a rebranded one, but I doubt that).
