- A guide that covers an unlimited steel and lead farm using can chimes inside a new instanced location called Organ Cave North in Fallout 76. There has never been a more convenient camp location for farming lead and steel! Also, this method doesn’t require players to pick up 250 items to reset junk. Recommended for new players less confident in their junk supply.
Also, the excess steel can be used with the Ammo Converter as a way to generate unlimited ammo for any ammo type. Use the railway spike method to convert steel into any ammo.

I didn't even realize and can alarms and weights are my go to lead farms. The prison, Pleasant Valley, Camden Park and the fire dept has always been my run after they screwed up Lucky Hole Mine. You said something that made me think. You said we're doing a lot less work since contextual ammo. Not only that, but with the introduction of the Company Tea machine and other buff items, that took HOURS off my game time. I would spend a whole session just going around collecting cream, whiskey, nuka cola and other stuff to make company tea. It's nice to have those items but I kind of miss the work.
I totally agree! The company tea collector is OP, but there weren’t enough honeycomb sources available before. I would have added more honeycomb before introducing the collector item, which come to think of it, they did add those 3 honeybeasts by the the Safe and Sound location.
But I agree they have been a little too generous with the collector items lately. I hardly need to farm any ingredients now.
I really miss the grind for some of these things. I still collect both whiskey and cream obsessively for this exact reason.
So far I’ve got a lead location. I built my camp on, still not so much since I am a scavenger. I find steel all day long. I constantly break down materials and put it in my scrap box, but I’m kinda glad I found this location because I was always going to the train station and buying up my lead for ammo.

But it doesn't. Most of the cans won't repopulate. You see phantom cans, and they'll have the activate button, but you won't be able to collect them. You'll see.
Good video. Solid steel and lead farm. Better way to farm steel is to just farm west tek. Kill all the super mutants. Take all the guns. Equip scrapper perk card, read guns and bullets 5. They stack. You'll legitimately have several hundreds of steel per minute. If you completed secrets of west tek you can go back inside every 30 seconds and farm more. Also youll rack up the xp in the process of doing this.

I just recently built an encampment around this cave sometimes it glitches and you can’t disarm, but that’s a simple as just jumping out the server and coming back and the way that I built my camp when I teleport back into my camp it’s almost like I come up through the floor right in front of the dooror the walkway I got going to the cave which is freaking cool as hell
Only real thing I hate about FO76 is that you have so much limited space when it comes to storing scrap, I dont have money to spare to buy FO1st all the time, and so this is really disappointing that even if I spend ages farming I cant store it without paying money
@@Domintor-op7lz it’s true, but there are always your other characters for mule storage. You would just need a friend to get back to the same server or just use them to transfer.

I still wish they added cross platform since pvp isnt a major part of this game it doesnt make one better than the other I dont think
@@Domintor-op7lz I doubt they will. There were definitely reasons for no cross play when nuclear winter was around. (Hackers basically ruined it on PC). I’d help you if I could. I’m on Xbox and PC only.

Maybe someday cross play via consoles could be added. But sony is a bit of a difficult company to work with
@@Domintor-op7lz I’ll probably start a discord soon, but there are already plenty of Looking For Groups out there. There’s always the risk of scammers but usually they can be sussed out. If you need help finding a LFG let me know
By any chance are do you know of any farms like this for copper? Besides lead, copper is the most annoying thing to farm for me so something like this but for copper would be a straight godsend.
For copper I’ve farmed copper ores using the excavator Power armor. One of the Lode Baring locations has a ton of ores inside. But if you can spare the acid, ores are the way to go imo for copper. Find little clusters of them on the map and make a routine to farm them regularly. And if you want to reset the ore veins, you need to farm 250 items to do that. I can help you plan a route if needed but you might enjoy searching for the ores. Look up “mappalachia” and that’s how I would generate a map for you. Always happy to help!

For some reason when I keep trying to go into the cave and grab those cans, it won’t let me grab them. Anyone have a solution? I left the game even closed out of it but this issue still happens.
They can be buggy some times, but try looting another set of can chimes somewhere else in the world. Like at Mire’s Eye or Rob’s Hideout. Then hop servers and try organ cave again.
Weird... It won't allow me to collect these traps on a private adventure but it works fine on normal adventure mode.
I reset private adventure a few times just to make sure. Oh well, it doesn't really matter but I found it interesting.
The othe spot i would go for is Dark hollow maner, atrium upper level as it resets everything each time you go to a new session, you get ammo from bags/safe/ammo box and you can get lead and junk but i like that spot you shower for just lead
Yeah definitely! I did a few runs through that spot and it’s great! I think it’s more likely to get patched than the can chimes but who knows.

Watched this video and immediately went to do the farm. I have 10,000 cans now. I don't have a problem.

Pretty much in this cave, I only loot the first five that are in front of me or four maybe and then I just keep doing it over and over and over and over again usually before I put it in my stash spots I usually get about 400 lead
That’s smart, it might be even more efficient by skipping the 5th chime. I didn’t test that but, might be so!
You could probably do the wes tek method with someone to reset it.
50% of the gameplay for me is storage management and the daily cap limit 1k is annoying

One of my favorite things is server hopping that’s why I built a single player character where I don’t really team up with people other than when we’re at events, but I’m still not on a team. You have a lot more options to build your character up when you don’t have to use perk cards for teammates and everything else, so I can customize my character to the Best build possible
Definitely. I mostly play solo as well but I tend to team up for the team bonuses.

Can't you just, like WesTek, stay outside the instance for 1 minute and it will respawn?
Doesn’t look like it. Just waited 2 minutes outside to check. Or do you need another player or account to do the west tek reset?
@@badwithsaltyou need to use the elevator, wait 1 minute and the mobs will respawn
@@badwithsalt No extraneous requirements to reset West Tek (inside building) other than to be the group leader (or solo) and everyone stay out for over 1 minute. This resets the mutants, not sure about technical data that you turn in to Odessa of the Brotherhood though.
West Tek may be considered a special one-off quest area in this regard, but it's possible that there are other 'interior' zones that have a 1 minute reset as well....

I traded a weenie wagon plan for 25k lead the other day didn’t want to waste my time trying to farm lead and hopping servers tbh got a few more weenie wagon plans im holding onto till the day I need more lead or to trade for other rare plans 👍🏻

Mate you can solo the first Atlantic city expo. In under 5min. If xbox. Look for me and ask me if I'm not already running it. To show u. Honest 3min with 2 people that know how. Unless you get the find the guy then it's 5min no matter. 30 ammo off every body killed. And 1 or 2 mods and upto 25 script a run. Boom. Your rolling

Was able to do it once but cant repeat. Tried server hopping and although the cans are there they cannot be collected. It must have been patched cuz its not working
I just checked now, and it still works. Occasionally the cans will glitch out but just server hop and you should be good. Maybe you had a little bad luck
I just tried it, looted them 3 times then it did the same for me. Tried server hopping and completely logging out, the cans are there but cannot be looted. Maybe they patched it.
Can’t take the cans at all now on ps iv never took them so it’s not that I reken they patched it so ya can’t take the cans at all I’ve tried heaps of servers and privets won’t let ya disarm
@@Sto78nerI just tested and it still works. It can be a bit buggy sometimes. For example I just tried now and the first server it didn’t work. Second did. Third didn’t. 4th, 5th, 6th worked. I’m not sure if it matters but maybe pause a moment before moving when entering the cave

Ammo has always been 1 cap since the introduction to player camps.
What do you mean by everything? Most ammo has always gone for 1c. I’ve seen steel for 1 and lead for both 1c and 2c. But tbh I haven’t bought junk from players in a while!
@@badwithsalt as a new player who is going to vendor shops 5 hours a day server hopping... I never find .45ammo for 1c . Also steel and lead is rare to find for 1c. Reason - Those who have F1 no need to sell and those who dont have F1 cant keep enough storage to sell and use both
@@jessehansen10 not talking about ammo. video is about resources. and go server hopping try to find 0.45 ammo or fuel for 1c. You will be lucky if you can find more than 500 bullets

Eh, keep your grenades and spam them on rad rumble, scorched earth and eviction notice...collect your ammo when its over

Nope I just checked now, and it’s fine. It does glitch out from time to time though. Just server hop. Leaving and re-entering may fix it too, I’m not sure though

That house with the books is a go to for reseting world item spawns. Over 255 books in that house.

I don't need anywhere near that much steel or lead. I'm clearly doing something wrong (heavy gunner with plasma caster + gatling laser + gatling plasma + Holy Fire).

Imagine farming junk in a game where junk is literally everywhere. You should be able to keep your ammo converter topped off with only railway spikes. Don't waste time on this.
I just bought 320k junk bundle for 10 bucks online. My time worth more lol
