Bumped into Geoff at Salute and it was great to have a chat - so incredibly sorry that I blanked when I was shaking your hand but I had been rushing around and was in a bit of a daze! Thanks for the pegging and it now sits pride of place in my office haha
No matter the topic, I could always listen to you guys waffle on about anything with such... shall I affectionately call it... gravitas. Love your shows, always such a good start into the week! ♥
I mentioned in another video, but it was great to meet all of you at Salute 😊 Even managed a bit of show and tell with Peachy. The peg has pride of place clipped to my hobby light 😊
Hi Painting Phase great conversations. I remember October 2022 Golden Demon was a separate event. At Warhammer Fest 2018 and 2019 it was all one ticket with the studio staff present to chat to. I remember fondly speaking to Peachy in the paint lab when Contrast was released and he called it magic paint and I made him laugh when I told him I was using the classic citadel bronzed flesh for my Freeguild army. Looks like your predictions for Warhammer Fest 2023 were accurate. Well done gentlemen 👏🏻
Another brilliant episode! thank you very much for the entertainment! would like to see some chocolate hob nobs on the show next please. (the best biscuit)
Happy birthday, and congrats, gents.Glad pat is on the mend, and I'm looking forward to what the future brings plus some bonus man pat narration in his movie trailer voice 😄
It's so nice how our hobby brings together people from all sorts of backgrounds... doctors, barbers, soldiers etc. People from all over the world and we all get enthusiastic about this amazing addiction 😂😂
In the future...when all of us are attending The Painting Phase Convention. We're all going to get Tshirts that say "I got shaved and pegged at PP-Con"
Great to meet Geoff at Salute. I would love to send you some Baron's War kit! Along with Andy Hobday we produce Baron's War via Footsore miniatures. Where can we send it?
That sounds amazing, your a hero of mine Paul! Thanks for messaging us. if drop us an email to thepaintingphase@gmail.com, and then I can send you the address etc. Thanks Peachy
Great show as always. Peachy randomly dropping things can be dyspraxia it can also lead to problems typing! i have it and have been kicked out of loads of pubs for just randomly dropping pints while sober :D
The Sovereign's official birthday is in June and is marked by Trooping the Colour. It has been since George III because he liked parades but his actual birthday was in the winter when the weather is bad. I belive King Charles' actual birthday is April, but his official birthday remains in June as was the late Queen's etc. Nothing to do with the Coronation
I bought that masters of the universe starter set and I kid you not I was very glad to get to the car as that was heavy! But what a box full of awesomeness
Great episode, as always! Patrick, I hope you recover quickly! Excited to hear you all mention Relic Blade. The minis are a joy to paint. About ready to dive into the actual gameplay, and I recently finished getting my dungeon terrain ready to go for Catacombs of Kural.
Guys you really are an amazing bunch of people. Keep going and embrace all the amazing things that come your way!!! Also, Geoff ill deffo need a haircut soon! 😂
Hey guys. Thom here, the creator of Shellbrecht and the Lego Frog Toff. Thanks for your kind words on my weird projects. I love this podcast and it was such a great surprise to hear those creations mentioned 🐌🐌🐌 The next Turnip28 event is coming up in a couple of weeks. I will be bringing a giant bee and a pig restaurant. Hope you guys make it! Love the podcast 🐌🧦🪗💛
Hey bud! Glad you dropped. Y and made yourself known 🙌 loved last years event, though I doubt I’ll be making the one coming up, too much family stuff, weddings for Pat, and the season of events lok
I saw Geoff at salute whilst he was having a wander. Didn't recognise him until we were just passing each other. Then panicked and put my head down and left really quick because I didn't know what to say 😂😂
Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear The Painting Phase ( except Peachy ). Happy Birthday to you! Love the show gents, look forward to it every week. Thanks for the entertainment. Yours Sincerely Teesside Tyrant.
I've been doing Salute since 2014 and I have never seen a mainstream GW presence. However in 2014 Forge World had a stall which always had an enormous queue. Can't remember when Forge World stopped going, it might have been 2016
GW and Forge World both used to have stands at Salute when I first started going. I finally suckered myself into buying 6mm Sci-Fi from Brigade Models after looking at them for a good 5 years.
Pat with no voice, you too must have been delighted. Perry's just go and knock on their door to come and visit. You all live in the same area. It is so amusing to hear Peachy trying to describe some of the figure scales. He only missed about 6 more.
Hiya, Geoff - no idea if you'll read this but my dad's been asking, which division of the army were you in? My dad was in the Irish Guards between the eighties and 2009 and it got me wondering if he ever met you or not! Cheers - and love the show!
I made the mistake of not buying some perrys minatures from the perrys. My British line infantry were missing the rifleman 😂. Shouldve bought from the source haha
You should give Relicblade a go, it's a fantastic skirmish game! Super quick to learn, and all the game time can be spent on thinking about tactics, not how the rules work. And it's all made by one guy, Sean Sutter. He's super talented and a really nice guy.
Regarding the Drukhari transport comment, I always thought that myself too as a long time Drukhari player. They must have listened to you Peachy, because in the Drukhari 9e codex (released March 2021), raiders carry 11 and venoms carry 6! Hopefully this stays for 10th.
Ran into Geoff at Salute, new the face but the Steve name badge totally threw me, think I managed to mumble something about loving the show before ambling off. Remembered the Steve thing on the train home. Didn't get pegged which made me sad.
Still watching this video (and loving it as usual) but got to the Gorilla Glue bit - in case it helps anyone out there, I've found Gorilla Super Glue Gel to be my recent new favourite. I find the gel's thickness to allow much more control and placement than some fairly watery, thin super glues out there.
Catching up on this on getting the Perrys on the show, you ride a motorcylce Peach. surely you know someone who can lend you some form of historical riders kit from the last couple hundred years just ride over there with a dispatch like your at Warterloo, Balaclava or El Alemian
Good job lads, less than 7 minutes in and I already want to comment! First, in Canada the May Long Weekend, which is always the third Monday in May, is "Victoria Day" and is Canada's official celebration of the Monarch's Birthday. (Although interestingly, Victoria Day events never feature God Save the Queen/King, that song is only really sung at Remembrance Day events.) A bit of trivia for you to use in the future! Second: Money and Currency are not synonyms. Money is "a thing you exchange for other goods and services; and artificial marker of value." Currency is physical money that's endorsed by the government. (As opposed to just doing an electronic transfer - the number in the computer that says I have X hundred dollars in my bank account isn't currency, but is money.) So if you all just started trading clothes pegs for things, it wouldn't be that pegs *removed* money, it would be that pegs *became* money. It would only be barter if you were trading for the clothes peg to use it *as* a clothes pegs.
You guys make Monday something to look forward to. Also getting to witness Patrick go through voice puberty has been special...
I totally agree with this Monday is now my favourite day of the week. Waiting for the video to drop Is the highlight of my Monday
Thanks for the mention, and I hope you enjoyed the goodies!
Vapnartak in York is really worth a visit. It’s a Sunday event too. Highly recommended for you all
seconded!
Bumped into Geoff at Salute and it was great to have a chat - so incredibly sorry that I blanked when I was shaking your hand but I had been rushing around and was in a bit of a daze! Thanks for the pegging and it now sits pride of place in my office haha
hope you enjoy the magazine! thanks for the mention
Happy birthday Painting Phase 🎉 Thanks for making it feel like I'm part of a friendly chat while I potter about me house
No matter the topic, I could always listen to you guys waffle on about anything with such... shall I affectionately call it... gravitas. Love your shows, always such a good start into the week! ♥
Cryptic Cabin has a very similar logo to Round Corner Brewing in Melton Mowbray.
Yay Geoff! Another great chat lads.
Thanks Squire - Geoff
Gutted I missed Salute! Great show as always chaps! Looking forward to the next one!
I'm going to Griffcon, so hopefully see you there. :)
wish i had seen u all at salute ! i was on the world of twilight stand all day but never saw u guys! glad u enjoyed it
Ah no! As is the way we got sidetracked…..a lot
I mentioned in another video, but it was great to meet all of you at Salute 😊 Even managed a bit of show and tell with Peachy. The peg has pride of place clipped to my hobby light 😊
Just watched the rest of this episode. I'll bring a bigger and more fragile model for Peachy 😅😅😅
PS. Thank you for the shout out 😁 That was quite the mention 😎🖖
Tried to keep an eye out for you all but was overwhelmed by all the stalls, really enjoyed Salute!
Hi Painting Phase great conversations. I remember October 2022 Golden Demon was a separate event. At Warhammer Fest 2018 and 2019 it was all one ticket with the studio staff present to chat to. Omg! I remember that chat! Thanks for dropping by with a comment to bring back some very fond memories 😍👍
The Exit23 miniatures are the Zenobian Zeniths Amazon Blood Bowl team, I painted them recently on a commission for a customer.
Happy birthday gang - many more to come. Salute sounds ace, will have to make it one day. I for one welcome this new peg based bartering system!
Fan from Sheffield here! gotta represent!
Awesome chat and recap. I definitely think there's a barber chair video idea there where Geoff interviews people while giving them a cut 😊
Yes! It's a day off and I get to listen to my favourite biscuit-based podcast while painting! Winner!
Whoop whoop!
Loved the show as always! :D I hope you get well soon Pat! Or actually that you have already gotten well because this was filmed in the past...
Having a barbers stall next year is a great and funny idea.
Another brilliant episode! thank you very much for the entertainment! would like to see some chocolate hob nobs on the show next please. (the best biscuit)
I blinked and its a year already. Congrats.
Used to have a Forgeworld stand at Salute...
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday, and congrats, gents.Glad pat is on the mend, and I'm looking forward to what the future brings plus some bonus man pat narration in his movie trailer voice 😄
😂😂😂 yeh his voice suits that job role
It's so nice how our hobby brings together people from all sorts of backgrounds... doctors, barbers, soldiers etc. People from all over the world and we all get enthusiastic about this amazing addiction 😂😂
Fantastic to meet you guys. It was a really great show.
Love you guys!! You’ve become such an important part of my hobby! Learning a lot love the waffling. Painting a DW army getting excited for 10th
That’s so kind, good luck with the army.
In the future...when all of us are attending The Painting Phase Convention. We're all going to get Tshirts that say "I got shaved and pegged at PP-Con"
Ha! Peepee con 😂😂😂
You a get a T-shirt as your ticket and it says ‘Hi, I’m Steve.’ on it
I'd love to see The Painting Phase convention, take my money!

@@thepaintingphase Hero?! That's very kind of you! I'll email later!
@@thepaintingphase email sent!
Great show as always. Peachy randomly dropping things can be dyspraxia it can also lead to problems typing! i have it and have been kicked out of loads of pubs for just randomly dropping pints while sober :D
Ah bugger! Yeah not fun, especially when all you want is a pint
Cant get enufff, keep it going lads
Great show as per usual, Fantastic end comment. Nearly spilt my tea
Peachy digging up his old warhammer epic would be a great video. Maybe a repaint too?
The Sovereign's official birthday is in June and is marked by Trooping the Colour. It has been since George III because he liked parades but his actual birthday was in the winter when the weather is bad. I belive King Charles' actual birthday is April, but his official birthday remains in June as was the late Queen's etc. Nothing to do with the Coronation
Love Patricks description of himself - basically describing old hammer Dwarves!
Peachy's annoyance at the Drukhari transport capacity is something I have moaned about for years, but thankfully Raiders now fit 11 infantry
and venoms 6
I would love to see some old Epic stuff painted up.
I remember Forgeworld used to have a stand at Salute many years ago!
Peachy: "I don't buy Blood Bowl because I can't use them for anything else."
Me: Building the Snotling Team to use for WFB and Warhammer Quest.
Well I do say later I think, that I do use them as conversions…..at least I think I do 🤔
I've been wondering about those snotlings for classic WHQ...
@@thepaintingphase Plus... any mini is a Necromunda mini? 😁
Peachy says he’s disappointed that he had run out of glue and pat immediately hands him glue. Good bunch of lads.
I bought that masters of the universe starter set and I kid you not I was very glad to get to the car as that was heavy! But what a box full of awesomeness
Great to see another BBB (Barber Battle Brother) doing his thing in the community Geoff ✂️
Brother!
Great episode, as always! Patrick, I hope you recover quickly! Excited to hear you all mention Relic Blade. The minis are a joy to paint. About ready to dive into the actual gameplay, and I recently finished getting my dungeon terrain ready to go for Catacombs of Kural.
Dave is a great inspiration for Warhammer and Love
Guys you really are an amazing bunch of people. Keep going and embrace all the amazing things that come your way!!!
Also, Geoff ill deffo need a haircut soon! 😂
It was lovely to meet your Dad, thanks for sending him my way.
MOOOORDHEIMM!!!! if only boys, if only. That and Inquisitor (54mm) were the best atmospheric setting ever done by GW (I'm even including HH in that 😮)
Not video related - just saw Geoff in Element Games! I was a little too star struck to try saying hi 🫠
Oh you should have said Hi, I love a good chat.

Quality as always !!! 😂😂😂
Well, that’s my Bank Holiday afternoon painting playlist sorted.
Ooo my friend Fiona is in one of the Wyrd editions! Enjoy!
Every video you guys release, at some point I spot the 7 string headstock and wonder if Patrick plays some brutal metal riffs when the others go home.
He’s a very private man, we never hear about his private Metal Life.
I saw Geoff at salute whilst he was having a wander. Didn't recognise him until we were just passing each other. Then panicked and put my head down and left really quick because I didn't know what to say 😂😂
I speak to people all day long with my job. If we meet again, just start with hello and I can guarantee, I’ll do the rest.
Glad that Pat is starting to feel better! :-)
Nice to be kind of mentioned in the video. That was alot of bbq sauce on your hands haha😂
I shouldn’t be allowed out, without a Carer.
Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear The Painting Phase ( except Peachy ). Happy Birthday to you!
Love the show gents, look forward to it every week. Thanks for the entertainment.
Yours Sincerely Teesside Tyrant.
We thank you!
Gutted I couldn't make salute glad you all had fun though!😊
I've been doing Salute since 2014 and I have never seen a mainstream GW presence. However in 2014 Forge World had a stall which always had an enormous queue. Can't remember when Forge World stopped going, it might have been 2016
Can't wait for the Brian May visit 😊
You can talk about Warhammer records and D-Rok was it?
Forge World used to have a booth and sold Warhammer Historical back in the day at Salute.
Patrick i have that same top! From amazon but its black ❤️🤣
Time once again for my favorite hobby podcast, The Pegging Phase.😂
Vapnartak (York - Feb) is on a Sunday Jeff #justsaying....
GW and Forge World both used to have stands at Salute when I first started going.
I finally suckered myself into buying 6mm Sci-Fi from Brigade Models after looking at them for a good 5 years.

Hi, I’m Anne-Marie. I sent the name badge. I also am the lady who made the cake for Chillcon.
Anne-Marie thanks so very much, I love the badge and I wore it with pride at Salute. Thanks so much, it was very kind of you. Geoff
I had two made for Chillcon, but they arrived a day two late. I still have the matching badge 😝
Hey Anne-Marie! Loved the cake btw 😘👌 the mystery has been solved, and I can put faces to the culprits lol 😂
Well done as always, and do you happen to have an affiliate link for that wet pallet? 😝
Lol. Well done.
Would love to see y’all paint the new nightmare quest warcry box when it’s out!
Trying to paint trim on chaos marines and I get “ use your mouth as a wet palette “ and now I need to tidy up my messed up paint job 😂😂
Hiya, Geoff - no idea if you'll read this but my dad's been asking, which division of the army were you in? My dad was in the Irish Guards between the eighties and 2009 and it got me wondering if he ever met you or not!
Cheers - and love the show!
I’m ex-Royal Irish Rangers. However I did serve in the Irish Guards for a short time but transferred to get a NI tour.
Im just here for everytine peachy references legion...more legion content please XD
Wait I spy Hobnobs on the table... Winters must be near by.
I made the mistake of not buying some perrys minatures from the perrys. My British line infantry were missing the rifleman 😂. Shouldve bought from the source haha
I think i have that mordheim wizard, but its the unreleased one for horse. cheap lucky find
Oh wow! Great fig regardless
That is grimdark right at the end.
You’re so very right.
Are you guys going to Partizan this May or in October?
If I go it’ll probs be oct, I’ll have to see how the wife feels, seems like every weekend from salute onwards is an event lol
I remember that sale! (53mins) £1 for 1000 pts
I can highly recommend Relicblade. The miniatures are fantastic and the game is fun (both the base game and the solo/coop expansion).
Yeah I was enjoying looking at the figs, very nice indeed
Drukhari transport capacity finally changed in the 9th ed codex to 6 for venoms and 11 for raiders.
It did! Amazing 👍😅
So gutted I didn't get to Salute - I was busy with local election campaigning, but next year.... 😎
Is that a joytoy space marine in the background? Near the guitar?
It is! Good spot.
Hahahahaha, "and I use your mouth as a wet pallet"
Beautiful

We’ll blow me down! I’ve never actually used my Drukhari in 9th so I had missed that, yeah fingers crossed for 10th

Would absolutely love to see Tom and Ben from yogscast on this podcast sometime.
One of the comment literally says “thanks for the pegging” and it brings me endless joy
🤣👍
I had pleurisy a few years ago, hurts like hell. Smoked through it though hahahaha. Turns out, that's what finished off Ben Franklin and Charlemagne.
