- Watch me mowing the lawn with my Exmark Staris S Series 60 inch mower. It took less than 10 minutes to mow this 12,000 square feet front lawn. I mention the quality of cut as well as the comfort of the mower. I feel like Exmark did a great job with the suspension.

That thing was movin!!! great for big lawns. I would love to have one of these.
It does move pretty fast. Feels even faster when you're standing up
Looks like a lot of fun! and 60" cut?? holy moly! could do some big areas in record time with that. Keep the content coming! Also do you encounter much carpetgrass there in your area and if so could you do a video on fertilization of carpetgrass? I have a lot and I kind of like it. reminds me of a St. Augustine/Centipede hybrid.
Great video.
I’ve been thinking more and more lately about replacing my lawn tractor with a stander
I am almost 60 years old and have abused my body with manual labor all my life. Drywall, walking on stilts for 15 years, framing houses etc. take it from me why stand when you can sit for 12-15 mins? you will be standing enough weed whacking etc. When I was 30-40 yrs. old it never occurred to me that my back, legs feet etc. would oneday cry out in pain. Don't buy a stand on mower-think about your future. You have a great channel!
Thanks for your opinion. It seems that some people find sitting more comfortable and others find standing more comfortable. I can see advantages to both. I think a good stretching routine might help my flexibility and movement as I get older
Standing is not necessarily harder on you. And for some people it is better. Standers in general can be quite a bit quicker.
Looks like your lawn is coming in nicely with mostly bermuda left.
Is the combination of Bermuda and crabgrass. I've got a friend who is planning on running a Harley rake over it to level it out. I will probably have to start over with Bermuda grass seed
Looks like you're getting the hang of it buddy. Put it on that hill, it'll hang. I love my grandstand but wanna check out the staris one day.
Thank you. I'm a little nervous about that hill so far
Your really whippin that lawn into shape the way ya want it Jason,L👀X much better & the landscaping is gonna be Great🤓
It's starting to come around.
Try the 52" Bobcat Quickcat or Kubota SZ series stander. Just got the Kubota and love it!
maybe a stand on is what i should upgrade to. I have issues sitting for to long, i get knee pains.
I got to borrow my buddies 32" Staris for a week. That thing was quick. I have a 42" residential zero turn I use and the Staris mowed a 1/2 acre lot in 10-15 minutes faster than my 42". Cuts really nice too as long as the deck is full. It's cut suffers on overgrown but spiradic growth. Over grown and thick does fine though. Made a video where the mower was almost gone, 4ft tall grass. I only gave the deck what it could handle intake wise though so at times was only using half the deck to cut but it shredded the clippings great after a few passes.
Only issues I had with it were quirks I'd want changed to suit me personally, and the price tag. I only mow part time so it's hard to justify that big of a purchase. Thanks for the video man, love your content.
Thanks for sharing your experience and for watching the videos
@@lawncarelife you put em out, I'll watch. I don't often comment but I'm still down to tick over them views and ads for ya
Good video,, looks fast.
Impressive!
Thank you
Brant T ....that's what she said
I don't cut any more (lawn treatment only now) and many mowing guys in my area use the XMark sit down Z mowers. Question is: what's the benefit of this stand on mower, if any, compared to the sit down Z turns?
How well does it hold that hill? Is a walk behind a better choice for steep hills or is this unit fine? I've been looking at one of those and I found a demo unit with a very good price near me. But I'm looking to replace a 52 hydro walk behind with it. Still have a Lazer z 60" and a 36" belt drive
This model holds the hill pretty well. That is one of the big improvement over the Exmark vantage. With that being said, a walk behind still probably is better for hilly turf
Standing around on the job again..are ya'?
Wow!!! That thing really moves. I was looking into a scag v ride 2. Have you officially made the switch to a stander or is a sit down still yer preference?
I'm not mowing full-time anymore. This is the only mower I have. I think everyone has to decide which mower fits the properties they are taken care of. This mower is great for my property. If I were mowing full-time I would probably have a sit-down Mower and a stand on mower. Maybe a 60-inch for big properties and a 48-inch for smaller ones
Oh the things I would do to have a mower like that plus it to e x m a r k
It's a nice mower
Hi I love the videos you make. Thank you. Just wondering with side discharge mower what do you do with the clippings that are still on the lawn? Do some customers request they be raked up? Or do most not care? Thanks
I just blow the grass around unless it's like a really huge pile
I don't like leaving clippings on the lawn. I typically mow in such a way that there is only one or two lines of grass. Then I disperse them with the blower or by raising the deck on the mower
Lawn Care Life thank you for the reply, that makes sense.
wow a little rusty on those turns lol
I'm a little rusty on a lot of things.
Is Exmark going to do a future X Series of this unit?
That's a good question. I'm not sure of the answer
They need to, one with a little more ground speed. I have the Vantage S series. Super efficient, smooth ride.
When your cutting wide open grass, I'd like to be a little more "wide open" speed wise. Overall, Awesome machines.
Yeah, but what if the grass is two inches taller and you need a powerful mower?
It's got plenty of power.

Lol I was being facetious. Sorry it didn't come through in the text.
