Yeah... I have a 48" on order but I'll keep my current 36" because I don't like the fact that you have to manually bring the deck up and down. Not sure why they would do that.
Exmark does make one of the best. I'm finally retiring my Triton 72 34hp which I've had for years 6000 hrs one wheel pump, one starter, six deck belts and three hydro belts. Not bad I'd say. The only other hi volume mower I owned was the Hustler excel 72 2500 that had over 10,000 hours. If I could have that mower with today's technology and hp there is no way anything could beat it. The steering system alone I cannot believe no one uses today.
At the beginning you said you will get to run one of these thanks to all of us. Dont sell yourself short, there is a reason you have a huge following, daily content, entertaining, and informative. All from your hard work and dedication, job well done by you I'd say.
Thanks pal. I've dreamed to work with Exmark since the beginning. I don't care what the trolls say, it's all because of the channel and the support from all of you guys. Hope to make the community proud with a deal like this. Thanks for the encouraging words!
Plan on buying one this spring. Very excited to hear you will be running one, as well! Makes me feel like I'm making a good choice, knowing you have demonstrated all of the popular mowers last year.
What do you guys think about the STARIS? It was pretty cool seeing on in person at my dealer. If you are an Exmark guy, do you plan to upgrade this spring? Lemme know 👇
Not a fan of the muffler under that hood. Seems like a place for grass and leaves to build up and catch fire. These companies need to mount a extinguisher on mowers.
Here’s a novice question in regrown standers; what is the advantage of a stander vs a rider? I’ve had 3 knee surgeries and sitting down is always a plus lol. In Oklahoma I don’t see a ton of them yet. Some standers but mostly small 21 inch Toros and then various riding mowers. I just bought a new 48 in Farris. Pretty excited about it for this year. Thanks in advance for any comments from the community.
Not going to lie, I enjoy being able to sit down when mowing. That thing screams tho. That seems like it's going to blow a lot of heat back at ya from the exhaust...
Brian I think it’s a step in the right direction but what I don’t like is for me I need a smaller one for gated yards. So that places me on the lower series of this and I’m not pleased that they only offer 1/2” adjustment increments. If I could put the smaller deck on the upgraded series I would. They missed the mark honestly on this. But I’m growing big this year as I have 56 yards on the books. This is good considering it’s a part time business. Pulling the trigger on one though. Get freakin Exmark to do a “Brians10” please!!!
Bryan I personally think that you should get the scag V ride 2 and yes I'm am aware of that you are a Xmark fan but it is, durable, quick And it stripes excellent
Patrick Puffer I loved the Vride2. But I’m definitely an Exmark guy and Weingartz is an amazing dealer. The nearest SCAG dealer is an hour plus away, and that’s in no traffic. Not practical for where I live when I need parts/service. That’s why I always say, context is everything! But that V Ride 2 was nice tho ha! 😉
Love both brands, run both brands. Depends on the lawns you’re mowing. Well manicured turf the exmark can’t be beat. Long or less than desirable yards the scag is king. Overall it’s nice to have red and orange on the trailer
Brian curious why the stand on mower? I hear you talk about 20-35 lawns a day. I aerate roughly 200+ yards in the spring and fall. All I can say is at the end of the day no matter how comfortable shoes you have...feet are killing me. Lol why not sit when you can? Just curious as to your decision on buying a stand on
I did a video stand on vs sit down! I love the ability to pick up trash, easier on and off. Better sight lines. I can get under trees way better. Very maneuverable. I’m telling ya, they make a lot of sense!
Is this going to be added to the Lazer or replace it? Maybe I missed that. I have the same Lazer as you. Why would you go from 34hp & 50ft/lb torque (If I recall)on your Lazer to 24hp? I mowed for years with a 20hp 60" Turf Tracer. Cut & stripped great. Even with a Velke you hurt! I got my Lazer & only disadvantage is hills. I should have bought the Lazer years ago. The benefits are uncountable! Yes, I am a Exmark guy! They are made about 2hrs from me! Lol Been using them for 20 yrs now!
Ryan *Torqueman* Hammond oh no, we’ll be using a Z as well. This will probably be my go to for my residential clients, and the Z for my wide open yards and acreage.
I saw one of these at the dealer for that size mower I think that motor will under preform over the long term peiod my personal opinion. I think it's better then the vantage. I think that it will handle better then the grandstand. I like our wrights better. Due to the space it takes on a trailer and motor options
Appreciate the video. Yet to demo one but not blown away on the looks. The vantage looks like it was designed in the present day. The staris looks like something from 2005 lol.
Looks like a huge upgrade from the Vantage. Would love to see comparison with V Ride II and Wright ZK. Also people say standing is a lot easier on your back when mowing all day compared to seating. What’s your opinion on that Brian? Excited to see more of Staris soon!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance As a solo guy I have a vantage. It's a good mower but its the worst investment I ever made for my situation. Strange at first glance for sure. Its like hey partner so what ya got under the hood? A muffler haha. Always love my Exmark but I am really considering a wright next time around. Well see thanks for sharing.
My dealer happens to be a very good friend of mine (his father really owns it but he runs it). He has not been impressed with the staris at all. Bevy of little things he’s noticed but it seems like new products always have kinks to work out. Cool vid Brian.
Great video Brian, 0:03 I thought you couldn't ride lawn mowers around in a store! lol I am a big toro fan and now I am addicted to Gravely pro stance 52"! I am not really an Exmark fan but that mower looks sweet!
After all the standers you demoed you are going to buy one that you have never demoed. Would you be buying that stairs if you didn’t have some deal with exmark.
Yes, we would. My dealer sells Exmark, if you watched any of our content, you’d know I always advocate going with your nearest dealer, right? Just makes sense to me.
Brian's Lawn Maintenance I agree with going with the nearest dealer. Just surprised after all the demos you did that you would just jump in on a new product that you didn’t demo. I know it’s an exmark so I am assuming they got it right. 🤷🏼♂️

I do like the other units though, they’re all super good right now, thats no lie. The Vride2, the Wright, Ferris Z3X, all great mowers that I’ve demoed. That's a weird proposition.. you pay shipping on every mower. Not sure why it would've been any different. Sounds like someone had an incentive to sell a Toro.
I think Xmark forgot they were manufacturing lawn mowers, not star ships. Plus why aren't they serious about adding some real horse power? Just 24 or 25?
Dave Allen 24.5 is plenty for a Stander in the mid sized category. My gosh how much do we really need? I do like that the Z3X and Wright ZK have 37 Vanguards, but those mowers are in their own class imo based on my testing.
Brian… I used to have a 52 inch Ferris zero turn with a 25 HP Kaw. Going up hill, in taller grass conditions (and it was a weekly mow account) it would regularly bog down. I have a 28 HP now in the same size mower, and it does just fine in the same conditions.

I’d definitely prefer a 29/37 option, agreed.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance agreed. Exmark is def a great mower with a great cut though. Just gonna be tough and alot of double cuts when it gets thick.
Bri., Check this out... NOTHING mows better than an Exmark!!! 🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐 Nothing else to say!!! Dirty Jersey out!!!
Thumbs up 😎
Not hating Brian I love you but
I'm just sick of greasing shit... Is there 15 zirk fittings on that too.... 🙁
That's like saying you're tired of oil changes on cars lol. Might want to adjust your expectations :(
No thanks, I’ll keep my Ferris Z2 or get a Wright
If your dealer sells them, more power to you
honestly exmark should have left the vantage alone that mower is a mechanical nightmare
How can you say that if you haven't seen one, demo'd one, worked on one, or put hours on one?
@@BriansLawnMaintenance had one come by our store exmark wanted us as a dealer again after we parted middle of last year due to Space issues and well being in the field with almost every stand on mower on the market im not saying exmartk is crap for taking the vantage away but from owning a vantage once myslef and seeing the staris and demoing one on the lot i do like how it rides and all but mechanical wise thats the part i and my mechanics see as a nightmare
Don’t like those stand ons. No grip on any kind of slope
Actually.. they usually have more control than riders on slopes. 🤷♂️
2nd! LOL
Skinny tires tears lawns up every turn ... Junk !
Other than being ass ugly, the ergonomics look terrible. Hope it cuts nice.
Plow up? Where are your manners?
It just came back from the service bay lol, I was gone 3 minutes after this video and demo. Had to get ready for the impending snow storm, ha
my toro grand stand is nicer and more accessible then that mower
Cool, I just wasn’t a big fan of the grand stands 🤷♂️
@@BriansLawnMaintenance I love my toro zero-turn and was also not a fan of the toro Grandstand. Thankfully my dealer sells Farris when that day comes
