I use the yellow switches on my gaming computer and orange on my work dock setup. They’re both amazing. I would never choose green over orange for that experience. And yellow is just on a totally different level.
I'm debating to make the switch from Apex SteelSeries (blue) to Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro (Green), do you recommend this keyboard? I been reading lots of issues about it but that's from a year ago and not from the last few months.
If you're sure you're going to be using all of the macro functions, then I can definitely recommend it. Been using it without any issues since this review. If you don't need all the macros there are a lot of better, cheaper options.
Mine is on the way. I chose this over the Huntsman V3 Pro mainly because of the vibrant underglow RGB (the same thing I enjoyed on my Huntsman Elite), the dedicated media controls and 8 macro keys. The Huntsman's variable actuation analogue features are truly impressive but I know I will be too lazy or just not that deep into manually tweaking such features to actually make full use of it lol.
Awesome review. Thanks man 👍👌 😉 I've always been a fan of Razer headdies but I've not really looked into their keyboards. I don't really have a need for the macro buttons, but they are pretty awesome.
Thanks for the support! Was never into their boards - pricing just didn't make sense to me - but their new stuff is definitely starting to change my mind.
Question if I may; the "P" key gave a higher frequency ping sound I thought. The other keys seemed ok. Can I get your feedback? I just returned a cherry mx K95 because of 'echo' sounds.
@@TheTechTank Hi thx for the response! At 8.57 8.58 you press P a couple of times. My ear (speaker) says 'oeh oeh' as a pingy sound, right after you pressed the key. Could be my mistake of course. (or maybe some speaker sound was produced on your end?)
Best keyboard so far I will choose, I really wonder if the HyperX Alloy Origin keycaps will fit on there especially the topographic spacebar one from the 60% keyboard, that spacebar will look so dang good on the Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro.
I have always been Fullsize - 96% KB person, and I like RGB gaming boards. Planning on getting it as my next board, but I probably just going to get the V4 standard. Maybe if its on sale I'll get the pro variant, unfortunately the pro ver is a bit too expensive for me at the moment.
Hmm, I kind of get what you mean. I don't really mind the bezel-les look - had a couple boards with a similar look in the past - but I'll admit custom boards with bezels do look dope.
You probably resolved it by now but Ill reply for anyone else who might be having the same issue. I also had this problem but updating razer synapse helped. Clicked the cog on top right > about > check for updates. It was actually two updates behind in my case.
I got the v3 pro last year and loved it. This is a nice upgrade if I do need a new kb- I hate how the battery life is mid on it vs my old g915 which I accidentally broke lmao. Also didn’t realise but you lost weight! Great to see
You really can't go wrong with either. The V4 Pro has a few more macro buttons, arguably a better macro dial, and looks better to me overall, but I'd be just as stoked to get the K100 (especially if it's significantly cheaper and I don't need that many macros).
I will be eventually buying the v4 none pro looks to be the same keyboard but without the side buttons and extra cable doesn't have knob. Sadly downgrade for pass-through being gone from my widow elite but still better and I never used it anyway so that works
Please look into Black widow v4 pro, and tenkey switch issues and the ongoing bullshit with Razer customer support and the never ending replacement cycle. Short of it, don't waste your money until they actually fix the issue (not going to happen).
I had keyboard for 4 dollars, deformated, broken, works perfectly after 5 years. I bought BlackWidow V4 Pro. Smaller keys, bigger keyboard, annoying. And, one key breaks after 2 weeks! Lame.
Don'tforgtto swap the switches on these things, thy are wellknown towr outinabout a month or two. Don't forget to swap the switches on these things, they double type and stop working in a couple of months.
Dont buy. Having the biggest Razer nightmare - Currently at 3rd defective unit (and still counting) - Razer refuses to regulate under EU consumer law (refuses full or partial refund) - Razer only wants to send new replacement units that also fail after a period of time Multiple defects: double typing / switches not registering click / inconsistent tactile switches (click sound) and the worst of all 2 of the defective keyboard end up non-responsive after 1-3 months of use. Defects have been tested thourougly with mutiple PC setups, having the same problem. Yet Razer still fails to send a working keyboard and refuses to refund the purchase. This is really sad since I am (was) a really big Razer fan and have been using them for years. And it is not a cheap keyboard + spending countless of hours chatting with their non-responsive support. (This is of course expected if they are using the same keyboard as they send me 🤣)
That really sucks. Mine's been rock solid since even before the review. My only annoyance has been the button remapping resetting occasionally. Hope you did an RMA...

The yellows make alot of noise .

Yeah i like Full size Keyboards. There are those 10k-less or the 75% with the Arrowkeys mashed into the CTRL no way for me.
Damn he’s changed a lot lol
I came across a video of him that says 3 years old, so I said, okay! I’ll check out his channel! 😲
😂 40kg lighter and a haircut does wonders, who would've thought, lol.
Recently purchased this keyboard and the Razor Viper v3 Pro mouse. Honestly these paired together make a phenomenal combo for everything I do. 👌
Same here though I'm currently rocking the Deathadder V3 Pro. So sick!
It reminds me of the keyboard emile used when we played WoW. I often still use the numpad, so I prefer the full keyboards.
I hate maining boards without a numpad - it makes benchmark stuff so much harder 😂
Awesome review. Thanks man 👍👌 😉

I've played around with it just now and the "P" key sounds identical to the others around it to my ear. Definitely don't hear any echo.

Not a fan of how the keys stick out and appear to be missing a bezel around them. Like they said ''this is fine'' halfway through designing the board.
Hmm, I kind of get what you mean. I don't really mind the bezel-les look - had a couple boards with a similar look in the past - but I'll admit custom boards with bezels do look dope.
I just got this board, used-like new, but the synapse 3, doesn't show it on there.. not sure why?
Thanks in advance!
You probably resolved it by now but Ill reply for anyone else who might be having the same issue.
I also had this problem but updating razer synapse helped.

Loud as hell. Thx for posting.
That was my bad for having the mic like 5cm away from the keys 😂 they're like ten times quieter than that, lol.

The V3 Pro is still a beast of a gaming board! And thanks man, appreciate it!
I have the 915 right now but the keys break sooo easily, have a total of 9 so far. Looking at the v4 pro. Need those macros 😍
Should I go with this keyboard over the Corsair k100?

Can I use it on 2 pc’s?
The space bar actually rattles a bit, you can't really hear it in any videos
Didn't notice until you mentioned it, but it does have a slight rattle 😅
Actually not a king with Orange switches, Avoid them as they are much faulty with double-triple typing even not getting a response sometimes, 2 RMA.
What is the white Keyboard in the background?
It's a Ducky One 2 RGB with white Redragon pudding-style keycaps.
Just bought one wanted to see what other people think of it :D
Purchase validation FTW! 😂 Hope you're loving it as much as I did.

Keyboard sucks second one now that starts double clicking keys or delayed key entry tried changing polling rate and cleaning beneath the keys
Same, after 2 weeks.
I want this board in white soooo bad 😭
Same, lol. White keycaps help, but it's not the same 😭
I had keyboard for 4 dollars, deformated, broken, works perfectly after 5 years. I bought BlackWidow V4 Pro. Smaller keys, bigger keyboard, annoying. And, one key breaks after 2 weeks! Lame.
So any place to actually get this in South Africa, Just dont trust postage from over seas.
Used to be in stock at Wootware and a couple of other online shops, but looks like it's out of stock everywhere now 😭
I wish this was a hot swap board
Yeah, such a shame. If they could do it for the smaller version they should've definitely done it for this one too.

I bought this keyboard, its absolutely terrible. button issues, lighting issues, doesn't follow synapse changes. Just an absolute mess of a keyboard.
That really sucks. Mine's been rock solid since even before the review. My only annoyance has been the button remapping resetting occasionally. Hope you did an RMA...
Don't like the sound at all 😢 not my cup of tea.
Might want to check out sound tests for the orange or green switches to see if they're more your speed.
