Rest in peace, Sir Sean, and much love and respect to you, sir. Thank you for giving us all so much pleasure and entertainment all those years.
Rest in peace, James Bond 007 -- and thank you for saving the world so many times (and ultimately sacrificing your very life to stop a deadly epidemic)!
The film that started it all.......
+Aryaman Gupta Sean Connery is one bad-ass Scottish James Bond!!
DxmiC cc. C cc c c c😘🤩 X,
And it’s done.. :(
You have all the films of the james bond
Utter shame what it has turned into.
“She thought I was dead. I proceeded to prove her wrong” - *zipper opening SFX*. Subtle.
bruh
I totally missed that and went back to see, then almost died laughing hahaha
😂😂😂😂
"James Bond, {007}, licence to kill of who he pleases, where he pleases, when he pleases."
Best quote ever in this trailer.
I m pretty sure there s no of. Not grammatical
Dave Hallett thank you for correcting that grammar police. It just bothered me so much that I’m glad you came out and corrected it. Now you have solved world peace.
@@davehallett3128 Don't worry about it, I'd far rather read that kind of natural error than all that fake Yank crap people come out with nowadays. And by the way: is your Spanish as good as Felipe's English?
"Joe Biden, license to embarrass who he pleases, where he pleases, when he pleases."
*whom
Mr.Sean Connery passed away today. I am a big fan since I can remember. I am shaken but , not stirred .
#007 forever.
What a great comment! Shaken not stirred. But if I may make so bold: he was knighted and was therefore Sir Sean Connery.
@@mfjdv2020 from where I came from calling somebody Mr. is already a great honour.
Imagine going being there on 5th October 1962 - the first Bond movie and the first Beatles record released on the same day! 😍
Yep - that was me!
Bond was way more important
@@FrankingatorI beg to differ.
@@Sundae_Times Beatles was just...the Beatles.
James Bond was literally the personification of British masculinity that captured the minds of people for 50 years...video games, cars, gadgets, fashion...all was shaped by James Bond.
How often to the Beetles get mentioned in casual conversation? Hardly. Yet every times a person puts on a suit the first thing they think is "I feel like Bond", everytime a person does a silly stunt "I'm like James Bond", everytime you see a silver Aston Martin...."JAMES BOND".
Whe you see a drum kit, you csn literally think of 20 different bands before you get to the Beatles. Ask 1000 men if they would rather play James Bond in a film, shoot guns and have the blonde in a red dress or be Paul McCartney...who do you think winning?
And you could listen to the Beatles with earmuffs 😂
RIP Sean Connery. 1930 - 2020 The Only James Bond
Absolutely!
stfu you purist, roger moore was awesome

Sad
Sean Connery is always be my favorite James Bond actor.
And...that trailer is basically the whole move in order! Still, it's such a fun film. Even if they hadn't completely codified what would become the Bond formula yet, it was a great first film. Connery never looked better, all his co-stars are perfect, and the music kicks ass throughout! I only wish Jack Lord had continued on as Felix Leiter. He and Connery have a great rival chemistry in this but, unlike later Felix's, Lord seems somewhat equally skilled, rather than a hapless back-up for Bond.
The actor in Thunderball was a good Felix as well
jolar70 thats it! he never again looked the part that well and he was ruthless..perfect first movie..perfect movie.. the girls were chosen pretty well, felix was real good and quarrel did also a good job..i just love the weapon dialogue with M in his office..
McZachary Wheres Felix in the Daniel Graig films or am I being stupid???
Matthew Coupe Felix Leiter is played by Jeffrey Wright ;)
Matthew Coupe xxxzznz😁
The first couple seconds were filmed on an iPhone.
First iPhone was launched in 2007. This movie came out in 1962. What are you saying ?

It’s nice to hear Eunice Gayson’s true voice in the trailer, her voice was dubbed in the film by Nikki van der Zyl who also dubbed Ursula Andress’ voice.
James Bond wouldn’t have been as awesome without that iconic theme. They fit together so perfectly!
If this hadn't been an excellent movie and Connery an outstanding 007,, James Bond might not be a household name today.. think of all the GREAT, big budget movies of the 60's , yup hard to remember.... let alone 24 sequals to them...we all owe a BIG THANK YOU to Sean Connery. True there were no super high tech spy gadgets but he was outstanding as a government agent and tough guy in this movie. My favorite even after all these years is when Connery looks at her and says my name is Bond James Bond...this is what Carly Simon sang about nobody does it better.
Indeed ! - Nobody ever did Bond better that Sean Connery - by far ! -
Fantastic trailer! R.I.P SEAN CONNERY. ICONIC and brilliant as James Bond.
agree❤
I recall seeing this movie with my parents in Pittsburgh at the theatre. At the age of 6, I realized there was something magical about a beautiful women. Ursula Andress was magical to me; still is 58 years later........
its kind odd Connery was amazing good James Bond this movie came out 1962 the year my dad was born years later went to school in the late 60s same decade around years later I love Connery movies from Young to old Sean Connery is a legend.
RIP SIR SEAN, I coudn't stop crying...😥😥😥😥

Loved the tire screeching of Bond and the villains drifting on the dirt roads. Seriously tho’ one of my all time favorite films. Did anyone catch the Asian decontamination tech in Dr No, also met his fate in another Bond pic? Hint Grace Jones showed him out.
0:06- Yes, the movie that gave us Agent No. 1 in Her Majesty's Top Gun (1977).
0:57- Does that include people who stiff him on fast food dipping sauces? This is a slippery slope.
2:06- Guest director for the trailer: Russ Meyer.
What a trailer, Sir Sean Connery narrating while using lines from the Dr No novel to set up his cinematic adventure!
RIP sir Sean Connery 1930 2020

Rest in peace James Bond 007 (1921-2021)
I consider 1962 - 2002 to be the best years in the James Bond franchise. The newer films feel like they're borrowing elements from the Jason Bourne movies. Plus, the original actor who played Q also played an important part in making those older films so memorable.
TAhowardrocksx2 my words
TAhowardrocksx2 I agree to an extent, but maybe you should stop at 2000. Yeah the 02 one was fun, but it was really really stupid. Same with moonraker
going by your logic, android cupcake must be better than Oreo, original iphone better than iphone x. i find the newer films to be much better, in every aspect
I don't think you can compare Iphone to James Bond. I think they each have their own flare. I admit I don't agree that the new Bond Films are bad, actually I think they need a re-watch to catch how good they actually are. And I think that people need to read the book to truly see all the nuances that have been used in Casino Royale especially.
BUT
people have their own preferences. Some people like the older bond films because they have a certain kind of mystique and charm to them. Something i'm sure people will see with the Daniel Craig era when he's finished being Bond. So saying that the older Iphone is better than the new iphone is completely different and foolish. Phone are devices that have developed over time to help people and become more compact and useful. Food is food, everyone has their own preference and taste buds, you might think one thing tastes better while other people don't enjoy the tastes that you have.
Actually, movies are like food. You like one thing, someone else likes something else and thinks THAT is the better one. Your answer therefore, is devoid of logic. Don't hate on people. They can have their opinions. You can have yours.
You think the newer films are better, other people think the older ones are better. It's subjective if you think about it.
Anyways, if you got to the end of my essay, i'm not hating, I love the Craig era of bond films, just don't think you can compare movies to phones. Completely different.
Peace.
Elroy's World I don't know how you found hate elements in my comments, because it didn't have any. I also don't know if you read my comment carefully or not, because my comment doesn't have any comparison between a movie and a phone. It has a comparison between an older phone and a newer phone. That was the logic behind my comment, old and new. Anyways, leave it
James Bond always amazing
My favorite James Bond film. RIP
'From Russia With Love' is my choice as the best Bond Movie ! 🙂
I'm watching this in 2020. Sean connery is still the best James Bond 58 years after this was made.

God: Its time for you to come with me.
Sean Connery: Ok i will. But before i come tell me was I a good Bond?
God: No. You were the best.
Great comment
Bond girl is the epitome of beauty.
I wonder how people reacted to this movie back then. If only they knew they were watching history in the makings. People - who dont watch james bond knows who james bond is. Stars wanting to be Bond. Artists want to push their own James Bond theme into the movie. That is impact. That is James Bond
Well...thanks trailer for pretty much telling me the whole damn story and how it ends in just over three minutes! I don't have to watch the film now! I dunno...maybe I would have thought differently if I lived in that time, but I'm glad I saw the actual film first in my life before seeing this trailer!
Yes, exactly! 😂
ya, a lot of old trailers were like that back then.
My favourite movie series ❤❤❤❤❤❤ 25 movies
RIP SEAN CONNERY THE ORIGINAL BOND
RIP James Bond
The beauty of this trailer is the entire movie has been showcased from the start to end, it gives viewers exactly what is this movie all about, not like the garbage trailers that you see today which are totally misleading and giving false impression to the viewers, those days were the real golden days for movies, brilliant films, brilliant star cast and crew, true work of genius.
@Anoop Muraleedharan
Uh you smoking crack? This is very bad for a trailer to do, they show you what's going to happen, thus spoiling the movie, are you kidding. This trailer was made to get people to watch but disregarded spoiling the film for people. Now editors and producers are smarter to avoid spoiling the film while still getting you interested because they know we don''t like spoilers, I guess you don't care knowing what's going to happen before you watch, but the rest of us do.
p00p
That’s the one flaw of the trailer. It gives far too much away.
Overall though, I absolutely love it, Connery’s voiceover lends it the travelogue feel that Ian Fleming so perfectly embodied in the Bond novels. It’s exciting, it’s varied, it’s exotic, it’s dangerous, it’s Bond!
Dr. No and the entire James Bond franchise is officially 60 years old!!!
I think my dad was a teenager when it first started
At first the American representatives at United Artists had no faith the late Sean Connery could pull it off but the rest is history
He only did one Disney film featuring leprechauns
Quite the gamble bringing the first Ian Fleming novel to the screen
This forever changed the genre of action movies and gave us one of the most long lasting signature lines in cinema
The novel's already sold big in the UK
Turns out in the book the character of Bond is arguably somewhat underdeveloped, which is perfect for the reader to imagine themselves in the role
But for a film, James Bond had to become more defined, and crucially, relatable
Can't really write the books in todays climate considering all the machismo and omnipresent sexism plus smoking is a no-no considering the many health risks involved and not wearing seatbelts or having airbags
At the time Jamaica was already a British crown colony too
The movie rights to James Bond eventually were snatched up by producers Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli
The movie opened under the radar in the states at a drive in in Texas and Oklahoma but the reactions were ecstatic
Joseph Wiseman makes for a great first villain being the basis for all 25 films and Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder would set the standard for Bond girls to come redefining the femme fatale
I’m so grateful my late father was a fan because if not I wouldn’t be either
And this put Sean Connery on the map
Its 2019....still amazing
Best movie ever... still watching 2021...hit like

There are plenty of gorgeous Bond women but when Ursula Andress lets her hair down, it's like the look of sensuous nirvana.
Ursula Andress was the most beautiful of them all
And a legend was born.
It all started from here ....Sean Connery as James Bond 007
It was an amazing movie , i saw it yesterday .

You may love Bond in 'From Russia With Love' even better ! 🙂
Wow Dr No was such an exciting movie and Sean Connery is so fantastic as James Bond

Happy belated birthday, Ursula. Have a good one, Legend/Bond Girl.
I came here to hear Sylvia's actual voice, lol
McZachary because u r nerd
McZachary Amazing they hadn't dubbed it at this point. I actually prefer Eunace Gayson's voice to Nikki Van Der Zahl who dubbed her and most of the actresses in the early Bond films. The dubbing is just too marble mouthed, and makes her sound like someone doing an elecution lesson, rather than being a real person.
R.I.P
We will miss and remember you
I really can’t believe this was made 1080p for the James Bond collection
Dr. No is my favorite James Bond film. Even if it's one film in an expansive universe, it has a classic Hollywood style that I gravitate towards. I like to think of it as The Maltese Falcon with espionage.

My grandpa on my mom’s side saw this in Greenland when it first came out. He was 21-22 at the time (around my age) and he was stationed there as part of a military base that acted as a missile deterrent in the case that the Russians were to attack (which obviously never happened). Other than the Cuban Missile Crisis in October of ‘62, nothing much really happened there (it was a primarily rural place), and he often would talk to his buddies, play pranks, read, and go to the movies there. Thanks for posting this trailer.

Wow the very first bond I tell you he's a great manipulative Ladies man This movie was made in 1962 but it wasn't that bad still has some good action in it even though it's a old movie and it's the very first of the trilogy so I'll have to give this a 7 out of a 10 because it was still worth watching and James Bond is James Bond regardless of which one and which year it is in.. what a classic!!!
You seriously underestimate movies because they're "old"? Come on, dude most of the all time greatest films are classics: Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Jaws, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Beverly Hills Cop, Coming To America etc. just to name a few.
