+Trevor Slake as much as I loved and cherished that season and would've never wanted it to end, I'd have to say nay on season 2, they ended it perfectly and couldn't really do much more with it (what with essentially everything Ryuko has being destroyed or lost and her finally finding happiness)
I have been watching Mr. Ross for a long time. At 82. I'm going to paint n hopefully I can do it. He's remarkable n I like how he encourages you to paint

Here in the UK the BBC have shown Bobs shows 4 days a week every week during the whole year of lockdown. Theres a reason for this, to bring some calm and peace during the doom and gloom..thank you Bob, you're a legend!!

i remeber the first time i stumbled into bob ross on tv in a late night show, freezing in the skipping of programms and watching...it was a long long time of i think ten minutes into it before i realized my mouth was whide open...lol

Apart from his painting. He had the best well kept afro on television...
Fun fact: Bob actually greatly disliked the afro as he had spent most of his life with short well kept hair.
However a few years before the joy of painting, Bob was down on his luck and needed to save in cash. So the first thing to go were frequent haircuts. After the first season of The joy of painting, Bob finally had the means to return his hair to normal but at that point it had already become iconic to his brand. Bob tried for years to let the producers to allow him to return his hair to normal but eventually over time, he also learned to love his iconic image.

Watching this now, I get the impression that this man is being completely genuine with us, that it's not a persona but his ideal self and he's inviting us in to intimately take part in something truly close to his heart. What an awesome human being and what a particular legacy he leaves us two full decades later.

He's definitely the most chill person I've ever seen. Sometimes when I was little and it was my nap time, my dad would change the channel to this show. Because he knew when Bob Ross was on I would be out like a light. It was Bob's voice that would do it. It even had the same effect on my dad.

Watching Bob paint really makes me think I could paint like that if I tried, even though I bet it’s harder than he makes it look. He makes me feel like I could paint a pretty impressive painting my first try but even if I didn’t, it doesn’t really matter as long as I enjoy it. :)
I know this is way late for a reply but you could do this. It isn't hard. I've done several, and my wife has as well and it's amazingly simple and fun. Would it be as good as Bob? No, not at first. But trust me, even your first effort will surprise you. Careful though- it's addictive

Bob Ross teaches you techniques that you can easily replicate. Buy a canvas, buy some paints, and try what he does. It's possible at one point you may feel frustrated as it's your first attempt, however you'll quickly surprise yourself with what you are able to do. I recommend getting a black canvas and trying something fun like the northern lights, he gives you an easy gimmick to create a cool sky and then you learn to make mountains and whatnot. Then you can decorate your house with your paintings.
I picked up a paint brush for the first time years ago, with no prior painting experience qnd Bob Ross took me along, and made it so simple. You can do anything

When I paint, I remember how many times he reminded me that it's my world, and that any accidents are "happy accidents" and can be made beautiful parts of the canvas.
