The sixth season of “Outlander” sees a continuation of Claire and Jamie’s fight to protect those they love, as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life in colonial America. Establishing a home in the New World is by no means an easy task, particularly in the wild backcountry of North Carolina - and perhaps most significantly - during a period of dramatic political upheaval. The Frasers strive to maintain peace and flourish within a society, which - as Claire knows all too well - is unwittingly marching towards Revolution. Against this backdrop, which heralds the birth of the new American nation, Claire and Jamie have built a home together at Fraser’s Ridge. They must now defend this home - established on land granted to them by the Crown - not only from external forces, but also from the increasing strife and conflict in the community within their care. For the Frasers and their immediate family, then, “home” is more than simply a site in which they live, it is the place where they are laying the foundations for the rest of their lives. If Season 4 asked, “What is home?” and Season 5 asked, “What are you willing to do to protect your home?” then Season 6 explores what happens when there is disharmony and division among the inhabitants of the home you’ve created: when you become an outsider, or an ‘outlander,’ so to speak, marginalized and rejected in your own home. Sweet story, but honestly, who would be happy moving from the mid 20th century to the mid 1700s?
Did Claire ever stop to ask...
"Before giving you the sweetest pleasure I know how to give, when was the last time you had a bath?
Oh, I forgot, NEVER!"
I'm sorry it just didn't work for me. The leap of faith was just to wide.
First time having a tooth pulled by a horse doctor with horse pliers, would send me screaming back to the future.
"Outlander" is a romance novel. When I read it 22 years ago, I thoroughly enjoyed it via Suspension of Disbelief. You get caught up in the story and don't think about things like body odor; using a chamber pot; and rotting teeth. Gabaldon was such a good storyteller in the first novel in the series, I willingly went on the journey with her. The rest of the books get exponentially worse and worse as you go on, if you go on. I wouldn't want to time travel to 18th century Scotland under any circumstances.
Travels "Thought" time? What, did you mean to title it "Through"
@North High Official its really just my ocd
😊
True I'm confused you misspelled it
In that period, especially in Great Britain...wouldn't a "lady" be wearing stockings?
She's supposed to be a living in a recovering post World War II Britain when they had clothing shortages back of the time when women had to use Gravy to paint lines in the back of their legs
@@Algorithmicgeneratedwordsaladthey really thought of everything in this series
Second
this is one of the worst written series with many inaccuracies
Like what?
It's sci fi, phantasy, not a historic documentary. Yes there are many plotholes too like why are only a few going through the stones. But who cares, it's about bravery and romance
It’s not meant to be accurate. It IS meant to be fantasy and entertainment.
we all heard the Tardis.....
