What an incredibly powerful performance. That is what I call country music in its finest form. Garth plays exceptional guitar accompaniment as well. Fantastic harmonies.
Trisha was the reason I started listening to country music.I have been fortunate enough to see her live 3 times and she never lets me down.Walk away Joe,to me,is one of her best, and with Garth?Thats icing on the cake right!?I havent seen this video until today but lucky me!So awesome!!
Hearing Garth's low harmony on this was great. All they need is to get Don to join them and it might be gold. He sang with Trisha after he handled her induction on Austin City Limits and it wasn't too shabby.
Drums: Milton Sledge Bass: Mike Chapman Acoustic guitar: Mark Casstevens Electric guitar: Chris Leuzinger Keyboards: Bobby Wood Steel guitar: Bruce Bouton Percussion: Sam Bacco Dobro: Jerry Douglas Harmony: Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks
Yeah, Don Henley has a higher, maybe better, voice, but... Garth still does a great job on the harmonies. And when she sings and she looks at Garth with a look that she will never give any other man, the sweetness and light that comes out of their voices is unmatchable. There is something overwhelmingly beautiful about a couple singing to each other like this.
Trisha’s voice is magnificent one of the best Ive ever heard- Powerful, soulful, angelic & her delivery is precision personified. I like Garth but the original recording with Don Henley is one of the most beautiful duets ever recorded- those 2 voices are absolute perfection!
Trisha was the one woman that could sometimes make me cry.. not sure why.. maybe it was the.. beauty.. Believe me baby I lied.... the voice that breaks.... boundaries.. love you girl.
Have you heard her perform it live with Don Henley? There's a video here. I can't remember for sure, but there might've been one part where he forgot the harmony. If so, that was the only problem. I'm not sure how old it is, though. It might've been pretty recent when she got inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame. I think there is an older one than that, but I can't remember any key words to type in and guarantee that you'll find it. Go for the ACL Hall of Fame one.
3:08 The way they stare into each other's souls, feeling the deep attraction and connection. I'm glad these two didn't let the flame die and followed their hearts. A person can't fight their feelings and finding "That" person is not so straightforward, and the road may detour us for a while before reaching our final destination!
What a hauntingly, beautiful song. ❤ These two were already in love with one another, even if they weren't necessarily ready to admit it yet. You could feel it when they looked at each other. Not to mention the fact that Garth turns red in the face, when Tricia looks into his eyes. Yep, they are absolutely perfect together! And Tricia's voice, just wow! She is so expressive!
Yes he was!!!!!!!!!! One of my most favorite songs! From when I was 13/14 ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I watched this..... all I seen was LOVE in his eyes ❤ one of the most beautiful/amazing relationships...... they are 1 of ONLY 2 famous couples I feel I (ME) can say is GENUINE/REAL/LOVING couples.....other Tim and Faith (cuz I had that for 10 years before he passed at age 38, I was 10 years younger ..w.... 3 babies age 7f, 6f, and almost 5m) and we LOOKED at each other EXACTLY like that........ I miss him every single day ❤❤❤❤❤
Garth with his eyes closed while Trisha is singing, their eyes tell it all, they love each other. 2:00 Trisha's smile at Garth 4:02 Garth's smile to Trisha, true love, they were in love & married way before they tied the matromonial knot I see here.
I agree 👍 I think Garth had hidden feelings for Trisha even back then, whether or not he acted on them. Garth's first wife was pretty fierce though, so he probably kept his hands to himself
Garth said the moment their eyes clapped on each other they knew there was this strange connection between them. Like they found their soulmate. They're already married then but constantly working each other and enjoying each others company. They're destined to be with each other.
Good memories no doubt. Alan Jackson "Wanted" and Garth "if tomorrow never comes". When they first came out. Tracy Lawrence also. Good memories. Keith Whitley. Off the chain yall❤
1) they don’t do it like this anymore. Simple, pure talent - I hidden by auto tune, skimpy clothing, and stupid choreography. 2) Terry Bradshaw here would later star in Failure the Launch with Matthew McConaughey... who was in this song’s video.
Couple things here..... Don Henley is hands freaking DOWN far superior in this song than Garth. For one- wth is Garth smiling at? Listen to the song dude.....perform it. It's not a happy love song. Secondly Trisha's voice was so pure back then. Just amazing. Listen to her now, she breaks it too much. I know she's older but man was she just epic back then.
I saw them sing this on the tonight show with Jay Leno, they were both still married to their others...but on that show that night I turned to my husband, and said..somethings going on with those two...and they both we divorced shortly after..
Nonsense. They're both married that year. They are friends since the late 80s. It wasn't until early 2000s when their marriages failed and connected to each other romantically. As a matter of fact, it was Sandy, Garth's ex-wife suggests to marry Trisha and Garth's daughters approved it.

Lord he was in LOVE with her way back then!!!!!
The WAY he looks at her!❤❤❤❤❤
On a sidenote, I love that set design.
They have love eyes for each other already

Two's company , 3's a crowd, I prefer it w/ Garth, he had the heart for Trisha, makes for a nicer blend.
Best I have heard
I’ve been convinced for a long time that 100 years from now Trisha’s voice will still be alive in this world.
Agree, 100%. She's like Linda Ronstadt, PURE voice and can sing any genre.
You ain’t kidding. I met her in Wyoming and I just thought swoon
❤Walk away Joe...💓🚩🚩🚩
Garth Brooks outkicked his coverage when he found Trisha Yearwood they make a very good couple he done good on that one!!!!!!!!!!!
Trisha always sounds good!

Wow, simply beautiful. Two incredible talents.
They were married to other's but their hearts were together.

THIS IS AMAZING Song By TRISHA YEARWOOD 🖤💜💙💚❤️♥️🧡💛💛🧡♥️❤️💚💙💜🖤
Match made in Heaven, and they are still going strong in 2023..
2024 :)
Best female Country Singer hands down. Such a beautiful natural voice. Great job Mr Yearwood ..
Garth did a very good job.
Trisha was the one woman that could sometimes make me cry.. not sure why.. maybe it was the.. beauty.. Believe me baby I lied.... the voice that breaks.... boundaries.. love you girl.
Oh they were destined to be together ❤ ❤❤
Love this songs She sings with Garth
Walkway Joe is SUCH a beautiful song! This is the best live version that I’ve heard.

The way they look at each other.. melts my heart!!! ❤❤❤
Can you imagine 3 part harmony on this song
@@k.bittenbender3279 yes, it's me singing along when I listen to this. :-)
I want someone that looks at me the way Garth looks at Trisha.
He was already in live and so was she.. Thanks to God they realised
Essa dupla é incrível.
She’s a treasure. And this is a great performance.
What a match! Both the PLAYING and the SINGING of it was just GREAT!
They are a beautiful blend...soul mates...destined to be together. A beautiful love story ❤️
He was already in love
Can’t blame him she’s wonderful
Oh boy yes…. You can see it in the way he looks at her. She had his heart already

I met her as a reporter in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She walked off the the tour bus and I was smitten. Stunning and as humble as all get out.
Garth with his eyes closed while Trisha is singing, their eyes tell it all, they love each other. 2:00 Trisha's smile at Garth 4:02 Garth's smile to Trisha, true love, they were in love & married way before they tied the matromonial knot I see here.
This was before their marriage and before his divorce.
He doesn't realize how he's looking at her while she's singing.
Like her voice is paradise.

Her voice is Paradise!

Awesome Voice
Sweet chemistry
Her phrasings are nothing short of brilliant.
George Staight. 1981. Awesome
He was already in love with her…!❤
WOW weeeeee Trisha and Grath Brooks
Beautiful done by Trisha and Garth. They are perfect duet partners ❤
Garth.. Love
Good memories no doubt. Alan Jackson "Wanted" and Garth "if tomorrow never comes". When they first came out. Tracy Lawrence also. Good memories. Keith Whitley. Off the chain yall❤
Phenomenal
Wow! Their voices melt together like siblings!
❤.... but.... God was in control.... and God is love....❤
Just the obvious eye to eye physical chemistry and with both probably wondering if the other is feeling the same.
OMG sooooo good. Intimate and beautiful.
i believe in play time
I believe your comment is funny & true! Well said.
Best live recording ever 🙌

As much as I love Don Henley, l really enjoy this version better by far. Don't you? 🤔
Gorgeous
❤️❤️❤️
Apparently she figured out how to get Garth on the phone.
Looks to me like they're confessing and singing their love for each other.
Chemistry
Garth isn't Don Henley, but he made due with what he had. Good job, sir.
I like Garth in this better then Henly
Great couple and music together cements their love of song and each other❤
Only problem was they were both married to other people at the time of this recording 😉
Hey how are you doing today?
Fantastic.
This a great song both versions
M-M-M !!! Garth is an actor through and through but he could not hide that BLUSH.....
So incredibly true! How could he not blush. She's a goddess and he's smitten.
wonderful
Love is what it is...but Don is DON, for pete's sake...Mary whomever, but sing with the best, girl!
Isn't it ironic....
She has the most amazing voice
Brooks knows he is way out classed
Good music 🎶
Good for the soul 😀
Wow, just wow

Wow.
Laced it together
So beautiful ❤
Beautiful ❤
pure magic!

2) Terry Bradshaw here would later star in Failure the Launch with Matthew McConaughey... who was in this song’s video.
Lol, nice catch with Terry and Matthew
👍
Seen them in Vegas her leather pants were actually tighter than his jeans
Love it
Simplesmente os melhores
Don was better, but still not bad

I know Garth and Trisha divorced, but you also say 'we divorced' , did you?
Living in adultery both are!
As a Christian, I’ve got to agree with that
Judgmental much?

God allows for divorce , it is in the Bible. Sometimes people marry too young and realize they did not marry someone compatible.
