  • September 26, 2024: Rutgers School of Communcation and Information professor, Britt S. Paris, gave a talk at the 2024-25 ARBMMP Opening Event on how worker-based interventions in AI can help focus discussions on more critical negotiation and refusal of technologies that overwhelmingly target women, minoritized people, and those questioning existing power structures.
    Britt S. Paris, Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science at the Rutgers School of Communication and Information, is a critical informatics scholar studying the political economy of information infrastructure, as it relates to evidentiary standards and political action. She has published work on Internet infrastructure projects, artificial intelligence-generated information objects, digital labor, and civic data, analyzed through the lenses of political economy, cultural studies, and feminist social epistemology.
