Lore nerd here: We’ll go by what appeared first in the video. First scene is taking place in a Demacian outpost near the Freljordan border. The Freljord is a cruel and cold place where there are two main tribes led by Sejuani and Ashe. Ashe’s is much more peaceful in nature, but Sejuani’s tribe is very focused on conflict and conquest, believing that only the strong have the right to live. It is most likely that Sejuani’s town is raiding the Demacian outpost, in search of more fertile ground to grow crops, but this specific raid is led by Sylas, a Demacian. Although they make Sylas seem very villainous in cinematic, he is actually a much more complex character. Born in Demacia as a mage, something Demacians hate and fear, his own parents turned him into the authorities for imprisonment and torture. However, they made use of him in seeking out other mages because of his ability to sense magic in others. Thrilled to be accepted in his homeland despite his “affliction” as they call magic in Demacia, he did his job with little question until he was about fifteen and found a little girl hiding in a farmhouse. Questioning the morality of imprisoning a girl who looked to be no older than eight years old, Sylas had a short argument with the other mageseekers about it. At one point, he touched the girl, and it turned out his magical ability was to absorb magic from others. He accidentally killed his mageseeker mentors, and, horrified, turned himself in. He became known as a brutal and vicious murderer in Demacia, despite the accidental nature of his killings, and was sentenced to life in solitary confinement. Fast forward about ten years, Sylas has been isolated and alone apart from a small hatch allowing him food once a day, and sometimes even this didn’t happen. Lux, the blonde girl, visits Sylas, and he can sense she is a mage. Scared he will tell others, as she is of royal blood and has kept it hidden all these years, Lux runs out but returns the next day, asking what he wants. Sylas says he doesn’t really want anything, that he won’t tell anyone, but helps her learn to control her magic so she can keep it hidden from mageseekers. Lux starts bringing him books to read, and the two actually become somewhat close, Sylas referring to her affectionately as ‘little light’ due to her light magic. At one point, she brings Sylas literature about petricite, the material that dampens magic. Through reading this, he figures out that petricite doesn’t actually dampen magic, it absorbs it. Since his chains are made of these to keep him in place, they become his greatest weapons instead, as with a singular touch from Lux, he manages to escape, using the petricite to only amplify his magic power. He starts a mage uprising and kills the king, but then is forced to retreat with the other mages, off into the wild. Hell bent on tearing down the system which oppresses and tortures mages, he went to the Freljord to gather allies for the raid on Demacia, and Sejuani’s tribe ended up being a fantastic choice. That is what is depicted in the cinematic, Sylas leading the first uprising against Demacia with the help of Winter’s Claw, Sejuani’s Freljordan tribe. The other notable characters in this scene are Luxanna and Garen. Luxanna is Lux, who I talked about above. She is a royal daughter, a princess of sorts in Demacia, but is also secretly a mage. If anyone were to find out her family would be dishonored and her life ruined. I don’t think there’s truly a need to go deeper into her backstory, as it doesn’t pertain too much to the cinematic in any way that I haven’t explained with Sylas’ backstory. The third is Garen, Lux’s brother and a famously determined mageseeker. Meaning that he’s actually supposed to hunt down people like his own sister. Garen and Sylas have actually fought before, and Sylas put Garen in a week long coma, which explains why Garen seems so worried as he looks behind him and comes face to face with Sylas. Now, his sword actually plays a pretty big reveal in the cinematic, because Sylas is able to wield it after it touches his chains, meaning that the sword uses magic. If Demacia were to be aware of this, it would cause outrage of course. Most mageseekers use magically imbued weapons, and it is incredibly hypocritical since they hate magic so much. A quote from a Noxian war general who doesn’t appear in this cinematic, Swain- “Ignorant of the very magic you carry into the battlefield. How DEMACIAN.” If you’d like to know more in depth backgrounds of Garen and Lux lemme know and I’ll type that out for ya. Second scene shows Ezreal in a Shuriman temple. Ezreal is from Piltover, but is a Nomadic explorer who takes magical artifacts. You can tell this takes place in Shurima because of the architecture, which is rather Egyptian inspired, something Shurima is notable for. As he steals the artifact, it appears he triggers a trap and releases Voidlings, creatures from the void who want to destroy the planet. Just as they are about to catch him, Kai’Sa, a girl who fell into the void at a young age, something most don’t survive, and reemerged, saved him, probably notified to his distress by the opening of the void, which she has a subconscious connection with since she came out for the first time. There’s not much further story to this, but let me know if you want a more in depth analysis of Kai’Sa and Ezreal’s characters. Finally, the scene in the prison takes place in Zaun, the underbelly to a more progressive city above, Piltover. The blue haired girl with the hat is Caitlyn, a Piltovan sheriff who is notorious for her ability to track anyone and anything, her razor sharp wits, and her finesse with a rifle. She is largely feared by criminals for these capabilities. The person she works with is Vi, a Piltovan enforcer who actually used to be a gangster. How she came to work with the infamous Caitlyn is current unknown, but she is notorious for her ability to solve any issue with her fists, and her disregard for proper legal procedures. In short, she is there for the manpower, and works under Caitlyn, although they are technically partners. Vi uses Hextech gauntlets, powerful weapons powered by a Hextech crystal. If brass knuckles were given steroids and methamphetamine, you would get Vi’s choice weapons. The machine thing they fight is Urgot, a cultist from Zaun who amassed a following and turned himself into a living weapon before he was locked away. The scene depicts his followers releasing him from his jail, and Vi and Caitlyn, Piltover’s best law enforcement duo, on the case of ensuring he doesn’t escape.
It’s stuff like this that makes me wish they made a GoT style animated series accurately depicting and explaining all the lore. (Without the dumpster fire ending ofc)
The cinematic needs Lux' backstory to make her "courageous choice" have so much more weight. Should she save her brother with magic and get prosecuted? Or should she hide it and watch her brother die?
@@limaman7262 Well, Luxanna technically already made that decision. In her comic series, at the end, she talks with Garen while helping mages escape Demacia through the sewer system, and it implies she does not return to Demacia afterward. The fact that she does not have her wand, which she received from a mage that she helps escape, and that she is in such a cold, desolate place, even though the Crownguards are royalty from the Great City of Demacia and she has no place being there suggests she might have actually been caught.
I'm glad you said "I didn't know she had powers". She is from a country that arrest mages and magic users. She is hiding the fact that she is a mage and only a few people know she has powers. She had no choice but to use it at the end by summoning Galio from the sky.
I know this came out a long time ago, but when I watched your reaction, it feels like I'm watching it again for the first time. It gave me chills again.
This is the orchestral rendition of the song WARRIORS ft. Imagine Dragons for Worlds 2014. Gives more feels to the cinematic than the pumped up championship version. Characters (per area): Ice Country (FRELJORD) GAREN (sword dude) - He is the leader of an elite guard/soldiers in Demacia (country). Check more of him at A Twist of Fate, Legends Never Die, LoR: Before Glory. LUX (blonde wand girl) - Sister of Garen. She wanted adventure but due to her duties, family, and country, she just have to put it aside. A talented mage in secret, until this incident. Has the power of light, thus the beam. More of her at Wild Rift:You Really Got Me, STAR GUARDIANS (1st one - SG is a trilogy), BLINDING LIGHT, LIGHT WITHIN. She also got a lot of stories and I think 5 issues of comics. SYLAS (chain dude) - This is his Freljord skin btw. He is a mage that was betrayed then locked up. Has the knowledge and skills of absorbing and emitting magic. He managed to escape because of Lux getting near to him, absorbed her magic and used it. Check his and their story in The Unshackled. GALIO (giant stone w/ wings) - He is a statue made from mixed minerals called Petricite, a material that absorbs magic. He comes to life coz of Lux's beam. But his "life" is borrowed for the magic that keeps him alive, is the thing he must destroy. Demacia (country) despised mages and magic, that all that can wield it will be imprisoned and persecuted. Until Sylas broke out of prison, started a revolution of mages, then escaped to Freljord (ice country). Lux is a mage but hid it to avoid arrest and stain their family name. Garen actually had an idea (prolly knew) that his sister is a mage but kept is a secret as well. Garen looked at her like saying "Don't use your magic..." It is actually ironic coz Garen hates mages, but wields a magical sword. Sylas's cuffs are made of Petricite and absorbed Garen's sword magic (yellow glow when he blocked), then materialized it (yellow spectral sword). Demacia is one great country but was actually built upon oppression and secrets. TOMB (prolly SHURIMA, Ancient Desert Country) EZREAL (blonde dude) He is an explorer that goes around the world collecting artifacts. The item he got here is actually an in-game item called Tear of the Goddess, which is one of the items that players build for him. His weapon, the magical hand bow, is also an artifact he got before. Yes, he can teleport within a short distance. Not sure, but he and Lux are kind of a couple. KAI'SA (violet shoulder-cannon girl) - She is one of the K/DA members and this is her default skin/look. She was swallowed up by the Void, a "place" of darkness and Voidlings (spider things), along with monsters, that consumes the mind and bend them to their (country's) biddings. She fought the Void and does not conform to it. Every creature she killed became part of her. MECH PRISON (PILTOVER & ZAUN) CAITLYN (sniper and hat lady) - She is the sheriff of Piltover, a country of mechs and inventions that stays above Zaun, literally. Came from a wealthy family of Hextech artificers. (Hextech is a source of pure power for inventions). VI (punch lady) Enforcer/Warden in Piltover. She is one of the problem child in Zaun, well, she loves to crack some skulls. Then got up to where she is now. Her gloves are used for mining, but everything's a weapon. Check her Login Theme song, it's actually good. URGOT (Bane-ish spider) - Urgot is once a warrior. Here, you can see that he was Augmented, a process where they make some parts of humans into machines, using Chem-Tech. His ultimate skill in-game is the dragging chain that he can shoot out from his belly. (they did not show the Shotgun knees :C ).

just a little backstory Lux the blonde girl you see at the start is a mage now her country demacia hates mages and if they found out she was one she would be imprisoned now sylas the guy with the chains was basically a mentor to lux to teach her how to control her magic now he was already in prison for many years due to being a mage and in return for keeping her secret and teaching her she would provide him with off limits books and documents throught these texts sylas learned how to use his petracite chains to steal magic from others(petracite is a special material that supresses magic Galio the statue you see in the end is made of petracite) using lux he broke out of jail and started a rebellion in demacia that led to the death of Jarven III in the process lux had to reveal that she is a mage to her brother and wound up fleeing demacia with a few other mages who didnt want to join the rebellion currently it is believed that sona may end up joining lux as she was outed as a mage recently in her new story
Didn't know if you observed the similarity but the girl with the blode guy fighting the void creatures is Kai'Sa. That's how she looks normally in game without the KDA skin. This is her base look.
Vi doesn't need her tech gloves to be great, she's fantastic! I love her. Lux cannot use magic by design of his country, it is forbidden, so he does not use it until the end when it was really necessary. I love your reactions xd
I know I'm late to the party, this has to be one of my favorite League cinematics. If you love this stuff you'll love that this fall Netflix is going to be having Riot's show Arcane on it. They have a video for that too when they announced it, and the teaser is up on their page as well. New subscriber! I love your stuff keep doing what you do!
The reactions are great, and so are the observations, but Cam, for real, I CHALLENGE you to watch a video through and through without pausing it. Watch the cinematic "a new dawn" and don't pause it. If something shocks you, just yell. These videos have a flow about them, and pausing disrupts it. I'm all for you going back to parts afterwards and discussing it. That type of analyzing is better than mid reaction discussion. Just give it a shot. I'll be watching.
PLEASE do not take this as any form of offense or disrespect or other bias but dude, watching you gives me Chris Tucker comedic vibes. And i love every second of it!!
I follow you since one week and you probably are my new favorite react channel ! You're amazing, and your reactions are so cool ! A new fan from France 🇨🇵
So the characters are: Sylas - chain guy Caitlyn - Sniper Vi - girl with gloves Garen - sword guy Lux - girl with wand and Garen's sister Urgot - spider like guy Ezreal - bow guy Kai'sa (u may know her from k/da) - girl that helping Ezreal Galio - big boi at the end
Demacia, the city where the clip started, is recognized for punishing people who are magic (Mages). But that blonde girl (Lux) is a mage and she is from the court (The highest role in the city). She keeps it as a secret, but in this clip we see her showing to everybody she has magic! She is using it to call Galio (The giant white and golden statue at the end) and to fight against the enemies. Her brother, Garen (The one with the sword) fights against himself to accept her sister and to other people accept her too.
Don't know what it is mate, but I see a lot of myself while you are reacting to this. Not in a being old type of way. You are actually reacting, providing input, asking questions, wanting to find out more details about what you are watching and so on, and so on...Good luck moving forward with your channel and I hope more people will support you.
My dude, if this gets the blood going I highly recommend giving the game a try. So many of these videos and people will make more sense to you after some time it's worth the effort.💙
Now you're missing Light and Shadow, Breath, and the ruined king cinematic. Not sure if you've noticed, but there's champions you've seen already in multiple of the cinematics. Like Akali from KDA who was in Awaken and Kaisa from KDA who is the purple lady here.
Since you like fight scenes you need to react to Awaken. I would also recommend reacting to a lot of the Overwatch cinematics (Shooting Star, Dragons, Honor and Glory are some of my favs) and the Starcraft cinematics (Legacy of the Void and Heart of the Swarm).
7:48 In the league of legend lore she hide her power because all the people in that city hates magic thats why she hide the power. And the enemies that she fought is sylas.. sylas is the prisoner in the city because he have magic.. lux always came to sylas to learn magic
I don't really know the other two but i can explain one or two things about the first scene. First of all that placed in one of big region in Runeterra (LoL universe) called Demacia. Demacia fears magic so in Demacia they forbid magic. It's because they believe that magic is the reason of the Rune Wars that destroyed nearly all civilizations in the past so now they have this rule that will instantly punish and imprison all mages in Demacia (you will go to prison if you mage no matter if you a good person or not). And here we see two champhions (character in game) from Demacia, Garen (the one with big sword) and Lux (Garen's lil sister, the one that grab magic wand at the end). Ironically, Lux is actually a mage herself and her family been hiding this fact for a long time (their family, Crownguards, is family with high status in Demacia). In this video they fighting Sylas, a radical mage that actually had pretty close relationship with Lux when he was prisoned (you can read their comics if you want to know more about their relationship here universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/comic/lux/issue-1/0/ which is highly recommended). In game, Sylas has this ability to steal other abilities while in the lore it explained as absorb other magic power (that's why in 6:10 you'll see Sylas with magic sword that similar to Garen's, it's because he stole it just like in game). In order to save his brother, Lux finally unleashed her magic power and summoned Demacia colossus, Galio, into the battlefield. So yeah, i don't think there's a villain and non-villain in this story. If you are Garen/Lux, you will fight for your kingdom meanwhile if you are Sylas, you will fight against those who discriminate you and your people's identity. This is what i like about LoL's lore, you can never see 100% good or 100% bad because no things such as. They always have this grey area that make all of those feels more real. And yessss, please react to Phoenix Performance in 2019 LoL Worlds Opening Ceremony! It was rly good ngl. And Breath (Legends of Runeterra cinematic) too! Thank you! :D

TOMB (prolly SHURIMA, Ancient Desert Country)
EZREAL (blonde dude) He is an explorer that goes around the world collecting artifacts.
MECH PRISON (PILTOVER & ZAUN)
CAITLYN (sniper and hat lady) - She is the sheriff of Piltover, a country of mechs and inventions that stays above Zaun, literally.
(they did not show the Shotgun knees :C ).
every time i watch it get chills ...

Destiny
Me too lol i just watched awaken
Btw the person "Shooting beams from her shoulders" Is Kai'sa, she is in KDA was also in KDA - MORE and POPSTARS
Been looking foward to ur reaction to this!!!!
just a little backstory Lux the blonde girl you see at the start is a mage now her country demacia hates mages and if they found out she was one she would be imprisoned now sylas the guy with the chains was basically a mentor to lux to teach her how to control her magic now he was already in prison for many years due to being a mage and in return for keeping her secret and teaching her she would provide him with off limits books and documents throught these texts sylas learned how to use his petracite chains to steal magic from others(petracite is a special material that supresses magic Galio the statue you see in the end is made of petracite) using lux he broke out of jail and started a rebellion in demacia that led to the death of Jarven III in the process lux had to reveal that she is a mage to her brother and wound up fleeing demacia with a few other mages who didnt want to join the rebellion currently it is believed that sona may end up joining lux as she was outed as a mage recently in her new story
I love this guys energyyy
i was laughing so hard when he freakout at the goblin getting knock the crap out of!
Didn't know if you observed the similarity but the girl with the blode guy fighting the void creatures is Kai'Sa. That's how she looks normally in game without the KDA skin. This is her base look.
watch yone teaser with yasuo
This is the kind of reactions I always expect
Dude thank you for reaction, on freetime enjoy also to blizzards cinematics too anyways thank for video :))))
Watch Kin of The Stained Blade. That video is so amazing. It's beautiful, and an amazing fight scene.
one of the bests!!!
I ❤️ your reactions. Just thank you!!!
the best reaction i´ve ever seen
God damn these reactions are fresh xD I am sorry bro!!! Haha you earned a sub. I'm binge watching these reactions lol
This is the best react I have ever seen
This one gives the chills every time.
Broo.. I just loved your reaction there broo.. so so so on point . Loved it.. a huge like and subscribe to you my man.🙏🙏
Vi doesn't need her tech gloves to be great, she's fantastic!
Lux: 👁👄👁
Official cam: 👁👄👁
3:43
you know he saw that beat match :D
Bro im literally waiting everyday to see your reaction to something new
Love it
I truly enjoyed watching your reaction, well done!
best reaction ever!
I LOVE your reactions, it’s so genuine
Dude, this reaction make me feel like Im watching it for the first time! Thank u!!!
His reaction was so awesome that I subscribed right then and there.
The same dude who was fighting the guy with chains is in Legends Never Die, which you should react to next!
Kin of the stained blade!!!!
Hii, i'm new to your channel and already love your reaction, new to the fam!God bless you and keep going, love your channel!
A new dawn cinematic or mortal reminder are both league videos you would like
The uppercut girl with the huge fists is Vi, you should check out her song Here Comes Vi!!
I love this reaction i laugh so hard because of this man
Warriors 2014. It is the original song in case you want to see it, this was used as a remake for this cinematographic video
Light and shadow is a dope one too from League
when they tell me I passed the year without doing anything 3:47
You should look at light and shadow cinematic; really good production and vocals!
Finally i found an actually good and proper reaction to this masterpiece
So the characters are:
Sylas - chain guy
Caitlyn - Sniper
Vi - girl with gloves
Garen - sword guy
Lux - girl with wand and Garen's sister
Urgot - spider like guy
Ezreal - bow guy
Kai'sa (u may know her from k/da) - girl that helping Ezreal
Galio - big boi at the end
Ey end of this year I think they will make a Season 2021 Cinematic!
I love ur reactions XD
i really enjoy your reactions so much : )
Demacia, the city where the clip started, is recognized for punishing people who are magic (Mages).
I like how they make the sound effects as part of the song
There is another one comming up this end of the year
Bet!! Lmk?
the girl with the "powers" is named Lux, she's hesitant at first to use her magic because its looked down upon in their region, which is Demacia.
"Shooting beans outta her shoulders" HAHAHHA Kai'Sa
love the reaction gotta hit the sub button
Don't know what it is mate, but I see a lot of myself while you are reacting to this. Not in a being old type of way. You are actually reacting, providing input, asking questions, wanting to find out more details about what you are watching and so on, and so on...Good luck moving forward with your channel and I hope more people will support you.
i really love your reactions man its so funny lmao
Nice reaction!
This one really shows off how there’s a Champion for everybody. And u can play them all
the blessings are upon me for finding this channel ;-;
Her name is Lux she is the sister of Garen (the big guy with the sword) she is a which of light.
She about to ult :)
My dude, if this gets the blood going I highly recommend giving the game a try. So many of these videos and people will make more sense to you after some time it's worth the effort.💙
I feel u bro in that video 😆
Now you're missing Light and Shadow, Breath, and the ruined king cinematic.
Not sure if you've noticed, but there's champions you've seen already in multiple of the cinematics. Like Akali from KDA who was in Awaken and Kaisa from KDA who is the purple lady here.
The reason she can uppercut that hard because it's her ultimate I think but without gauntlets. Just heart and fist
Pentakill Mortal Reminder!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Oh thE chilLs Just camE baCk” LOLL
Kin of the stained blade!!
You HAVE to watch kin of a stained blade. its the best LoL cinemtaic ever made. no cap
as a Galio player i fking love this one.
You should check out "Legends Never Die" and "Breathe", the Legends of Runeterra Launch Trailer, they both are really good as well
Watch to the Blade of the ruined king announcement trailer. Gonna love it!
If you didnt post this today i was going to have to resort to day ___ of asking camm to watch warriors 2020
7:48
In the league of legend lore she hide her power because all the people in that city hates magic thats why she hide the power.
And the enemies that she fought is sylas.. sylas is the prisoner in the city because he have magic.. lux always came to sylas to learn magic
god ur reaction is legit how i reacted when i realized i recognized this song as Warriors
3:47 giggles as fist girl hits so hard she even knocked HIS ass out of the chair 😜
if u love fighting scene go watch a twist of fate or a new dawn by league of legends, they are the old cinematics. but they are still very cool.
my bro blew up man :D
Hard work pays off😭✊🏾
@@Officialcammm so happy for you bro💙💙
Thank you! :D
Kai'sa, my queen. Lux, my girl. Next is jinx in " get jined "
