So the girl (Lux) and the guy with the sword (Garen) are siblings and the place they come from forbids magic and she realizes that her brother will die if she doesn’t use magic to save him, so she uses her magic to call reinforcements to help her and even though they forbid magic magic they help her.
This is actually shows the first time that lux ( blonde chick) uses his magical powers. Because magic is forbidden by laws in demacia and lux and her brother garen ( big sword guy) is in a noble family there so they hid her magical powers as a secret. In that cinematic we see a magic caster with a wand that casts magical frost attacks from his wand then he drops it when garen smashes him to the ground. That wand is actually a true ice weapon that kills you if you are not a iceborn warrior. Somehow lux grab that wand and turn its icy magical power to her light magic. So thats the first time that she uses magic in front of all that soldiers then she summons the galio (that huge flying guy). Galio is a gargantuan golem that protects their home country.

the guy with the chains did escape from prison and the blond hair girl helped him bcs she love him but after he escape he did comeback to attack demacia but she did stop him by calling the giant his name is galio the rest is not important bcs its not in the lore
